    My first day today!
Does that work on a green day? Thanks all for the help x

Good luck lillian. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Burgen Soya & Linseed (if that's what you had) is 6 syns a slice:eek: Maybe you're just trying to use it up but you really need to stick to wholemeal or WW. At least you have a HEB going spare now.;) Do ask as many questions as you like but there should be free membership vouchers around soon and that would mean a single trip to a group (to get new books and a talk) would be relatively cheap.

Hiya, just popping in briefly to say hello and hope you have all had a good Chrimbo and New Year. I have just returned from my diving trip to Egypt where the weather was lovely to not so lovely weather here.

Not so lovely???? :rotfl:Good to see you back.

I'm trying my best to stick to plan properly today and resist any synful snacks of Christmas LOs:o This is my EE plan:

B: NAS squash, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: beef & onion sandwich, satsuma
D: Baked haddock, ww's (that's welsh woofer's not THEM!) mexican bake & something green
    Syns: cheese on bake

I was planning to go to Aldi's for some more f&v but weather is so horrendous that it could be frozen green beans or even peas.

  • feeling a graze coming on - help! Here's today so far and also what's to come -

B- chopped mixed salad (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers), 2 slices w/m bread, 2 tblspns techina, roasted aubergines, roasted sweet potato; banana (HEB) – 5 syns + (don't know what was used to roast the aubergine and s.potato)
S-fruit salad - orange, persimmon, banana, pear, 0% yoghurt (HEA)
L-Roasted Veg Frittata (aubergine, sweet potato, courgette, red onion, mixed peppers, cauliflower all roasted in frylight) – 2 eggs

Normally I would now have my HEB sandwich but I had HEB this morning so...
    S-roasted cauliflower
D-courgette soup (courgettes, leeks, parsley root, onions), risotto with left over chicken, green beans, peas, onions

I'm not sure if this counts as a Green day in which case I might be allowed another HEB - I've only ever done EE so have never had more than one HEB or HEA - perhaps someone can let me know and then I'll be off to have my afternoon sarni!

Hello all. Slinknig back in with shameful face. Just ignored SW over Christmas ad new year really, and have a massive gain to show for it. First day back was yesterday, husband is now attempting to do it too (and he really needs to as well; I thjink he's the largest I've ever seen him).

Anyway, did the 30 day shred for the past two days, only had a few chocolates yesterday (masses still in the house, not sure what to do wiht them). All counted as syns, but I'm not usually good at stopping at one or two.

We are on EE. Got the Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall Veg book for Xmas - did a lovely north african stew last night with butternut squash, orzo pasta and chickpeas. Twas lush, got leftovers for tonight.

Yes, ham with 'all visible fat removed' is free. I thought you might be using stuff up from storecupboards but if you're doing a shopping list then why not go for very light mayo or even fat free dressing or tomato based sauce (passata or puree)? I often stir in some red beans for a bit of bite. My favourite is roasted veg (onions, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, garlic) stirred into pasta. I eat these cold for packed lunches.

mm, I don't do green but as you've had absolutely no meat then I think you must be OK for a green day. But don't blame me if I'm wrong after you've eaten the sandwich!!

    Oh I will :D

I have never been able to get my head around the green and original days but I think that's because I've only ever done EE and never really had the other two explained. Maybe when I come to the UK in a few weeks and join a group I'll understand it better.

Anyway anyone else know if my plan for today constitutes a "green" day and if so can I have another HEB????

    sounds green to me!

although i always was told fat free yogurt is free and you don't need a HEA for it.

    Thank you :A

It was a fat free fruit yoghurt so not sure how free it is but I don't have anything else to use as HEA as I've run out of cheese and I don't drink milk.

I've got chicken in the risotto for supper is that a problem on green?

Are eggs super free? would be good to know for sure.

Eggs as far as I recall are FREE, not SUPERFREE - I can't remember the reasoning behind this but it was quite a while ago that it changed.

I see the offer is for free membership and 2 weeks free if you sign up to a countdown for 12 weeks. Does anyone know with a countdown - if you need to miss one week can you have a holiday week on a countdown? I joined as a shift worker last time and only had to miss a few weeks over the 6 months I went to the one group but I paid every week - looking at the next 12 weeks there is one Thursday I'd have to miss.

Yes as other posters have said, when buying a countdown, you need to book any holidays/absences first.

Hmmm - today has gone awry with syns (a Nature Vally Choc Chip bar (2 pieces) and the Special K choc chip bar that I was talking about yesterday. First day back at work and not being organised.

I never fancy breakfast when I get up and by the time I do - I'm at work and its difficult for me to eat. I need to work on this.

I've also snacked on one red grapefruit and had heinz curry beans on toast with my HEA option in cheese for lunch. Tea is a te$co simply cook lamb shank with jackets, probably yorkshires (to use them up!) and sweetcorn. So as you can see menu confused and not planned -don't even know what day I am following! not enough superfree with tea and certainly no superfree with lunch.

Weigh in tonight so will see what the scales say. I'm not expecting them to be kind and rightly so. Its what I do about it now that matters and I have already started to meal plan but need to improve on this.

I am trying to work on the basis that I plan 7 breakfasts, 7 lunches and 7 dinners and then fill in the boxes on my meal plan. Trying to ensure on plenty of variety. Also need to work on snacks because I usually need something mid afternoon to get me thorugh to hometime.

Thinking of posting my daily menus on here as if I have to share then I'm unlikely to cheat!
