    meals for lunch ;
I have same at work - microwave/fridge so anything that can be reheated [leftovers] can be for lunch.
I personally like the tomato & herb mug shots, made the night before so pasta really swells and then reheated in mike for lunch.
I have also cooked jp the night before and reheated. Lo pasta bake/spaggy bol/chilli etc all edible when reheated.

Hubby has made me some soup today so back on Dizzy's [still thinking of her :A] tank. Even though it turns out he roasted b/n squash in olive oil so not entirely free but will use HEb for it instead.

    B - weetabix hot water/milk [.5a] coffee
L - soup [b/n squash, carrots, onions, bulger wheat, veg stock, caraway/cumin seeds, other mixed herbs] & 3 bread sticks [3]
T - not sure yet, probably more soup with handful of pasta thrown in.
Snacks - not had any yet as need to shop for fuit/yogs ready for work tomorrow :(
Syns - 3 so far but trying for minimal to make up for christmas binge.

House is still full of christmas junk so will do my best to resist :o
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

    Green day (as always)
    1xHEA for milk in tea
B: 1x HEB 2x small WM bread, 2x Quorn sausages (1 syn), onion, grilled on GF grill
L: 3 HM vegeburgers (free) on GF grill
D: Leek and Feta frittata (1xHEA for reduced fat feta +3 syns), Merguez chips (1x HEB for Olive oil), salad
S: packet of Cheese and Onion crisps (7 syns, not worth it)
    I make that 11 syns.
I also ran for…..FOUR MILES! I can hardly believe it. My nike+ estimated it burnt 500 calories.
Back to work for me tomorrow, in some ways it will be easier. I struggled with lunches at work for ages, kept forgetting to take my carefully prepared lunch with me then making bad choices in the canteen. Now the lovely dinner ladies make me a salad pot with a hb egg in it, and I pick up one of their fruit pots too. It doesn’t sound enough but it actually works. If I want something sweet and chocolatey I have an Options for 2 syns, hits the spot.

Good luck everyone, it is weigh in for me tomorrow evening and I am really hoping to have shifted some of the weight I put on over Christmas so I can feel like I am making progress again rather than playing catch up!

just killing some time before SW class - i'm fairly new there and find i just sit down like billy no mates - so if i get there on time i sit alone for 30minutes.....
so trying to turn up tonight right at the end of WI and then i can sit next to somebody and say hello

does that make me sound like a saddo? the class is fairly cliquey - and they're all slim as lots of target members :p

just scoffed a bag of quavers (4.5) but am planning on having omlette with bacon when i get back.
also looking forward to a mini crunchie bar :)
    Proud mum :T

  • I struggle for ideas at work as dont have a microwave. I was just having sandwiches or salads but got very bored of these. Did quite like the pot shots but they only sell them in Sainsburys that I have found and not worth the journey just for these.

Just had two boiled eggs and 2 x small slices of wholemeal toast for breakfast, and enjoying a cuppa. Still feel a bit peckish so will have a banana and apple as well. Is that ok for an EE breakfast?
Hi Liz3yy, I know someone has already responded re this, but you should have the banana and apple as well as the toast and eggs for EE, never mind "still feel a bit peckish"!! :p Eggs, baked beans, mushy peas, quorn sausage etc, though they are free on some/all plans, are not superfree. Superfree is fruit and vegetables (oh, and parsnips aren't superfree either, I'm sorry to have to tell you :o ) Hope I don't sound too schoolmarmy, better to be told now than later :D

Can anyone suggest some lunch ideas, we have a microwave to use at work and a fridge to store stuff in. I normally take home made soups but wouldn't mind something more filling (I dont like jacket potato).
    I follow green / red days :)
I just take in regular meals, eg for next week I have already made up 3 lunches - one has liver and onions, the other two have haddock fillets, and they all have some of the following accompaniments: cauliflower, broccoli, butternut squash, tomatoes, mashed sweet potato, rice. so I get a slightly different combination each day. 3 minutes on 3/4 power warms them through just right. It takes me about an hour on a Sunday (usually) to prepare an assortment of vegetables and pack up the three packages. Mon, Tue and Wed are my busy evenings so I save myself having to fret about the next day's food.

Don't talk to me about crunchies. Like Maman and Flat Eric, I am finding it very difficult to get back in the zone after Christmas! I know what you mean about the class. First time I tried SW, some 4 yrs ago, no-one spoke to me. I gave up going. The last time I joined (2 yrs ago) I made a point of speaking to anyone sitting near me until gradually we all became friends. Some of the longstanding at-target members can be irritating (and talk all thru the class too) but some were really kindly and helpful. One way is to offer to man one of the desks, or deal with the raffle. Or just take your knitting, I always took my knitting :rotfl:

Now, must tell you, that ketchup from the little free book in this month's mag is DELICIOUS. I made SW chips with it and I still think it's a lot of faff for what you get, every few months I have a go at them and every time I am disappointed. But hey ho. (I'm just going to add a pic of spinning Martin cos I've never noticed him spinning before .... :money: )

Happy New Year to all, I hope Dizzy is ok and that they managed to celebrate Christmas with MIL being so poorly and all xx
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

I thought eggs are superfree? they are on the orange superfree pages in my book.
  • It was WI for me this morning and I was really really worried about putting some of the weight back on from last week as I really felt a bit of a fraud - I knew that some of the loss was down to some drastic gynae problems I've been having. Anyway absolutely delighted to have stayed the same and now I really know it's real and just hoping to be able to continue. I've got six weeks till I fly to the UK for a family visit and really want to shift a good few kilos by then.

B-Mexican scramble made from left-over Mexican Bake from last night (HEA)
    S-melon
L-salad – cucumber, tomato, red pepper, spring onion, ½ avocado, hard boiled egg, tuna, 1 tblspn light mayo (9 syns); banana - I'm guessing about the syns for avocado so if someone can chip in here and tell me that would be great
S-2 slices w/m bread, 1 tblspn humous, tomato; persimmon, banana (HEB) – 2½ syns
D-courgette soup, roast chicken, roasted veg, roasted SW potatoes, stir-fried green beans, salad

Now totally stuffed after this big evening meal but I we had DS and DDIL over so wanted to make sure we had a good meal on the table!

hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Hello not been on here in ages as I left SW last September - I'd been there a year and had between Sept 2010 and Feb 2011 lost 3 stone. I then started going between different groups for weigh ins and not the meeting and stopped losing. I lost my motivation and have to say have enjoyed not going and have kept about 75% to plan but over Christmas it's caught up with me as jeans are getting tight so time to get back on the SW path:)

I'd thought of trying a different plan but feel SW is the best for me as I like flexibility, big portions and I'm vegan and reckon SW green plan is adaptable to my vegan lifestyle. It worked before so it will work again and after 6 months off my head is in the right place ready to start back.

I see the offer is for free membership and 2 weeks free if you sign up to a countdown for 12 weeks. Does anyone know with a countdown - if you need to miss one week can you have a holiday week on a countdown? I joined as a shift worker last time and only had to miss a few weeks over the 6 months I went to the one group but I paid every week - looking at the next 12 weeks there is one Thursday I'd have to miss.

This time round If I rejoin which I think I should/will I need to stick to the same class/day/time and go every Thursday and not make excuses (cold dark nights and I'm terrible for making excuses not to go out again to walk the mile each way to class:o)

I've got to do this as I need to lose 2 stone by summer, maybe more.

Also anyone know the criteria for getting SW classes free for 12 weeks via your GP? I don't know if our area does the vouchers but I might ring to ask, guessing its for a certain BMI?

    Thanks and hello again:)

Are eggs super free? would be good to know for sure.

My days food turned out to be this today....

    Breakfast:
2 x boiled eggs with 2 x slices of wholemeal bread followed by an apple and a banana, then I snacked on two quorn sausages.

    Lunch:
2 jacket potatoes topped with baked beans and a slice of cheddar cheese followed by a pear and a fibre plus cereal bar

    Dinner:
Risotto with mushrooms, spring onions and white onion with a slice of cheese melted in. Followed by 2 quality street chocolates.

I've also had 250ml of semi skimmed milk

I make it I've had 12 syns today, sound ok?
