sticking to plan this week :o
    red tomorrow:
b:1 weetabix, yoghurt, milk (1/2 heb, hea).
l: 1 hifi light, apple, ham sandwich (1/2 heb, heb)
    d: gammon & veg.
keeping syns for my evening choc fix ;)

eggs are free - not superfree. only certain fruit/veg are superfree. would if be nice if they were though *sigh*

i do the countdown and am a shift-worker..........you can book a holiday but only if you book it when you buy the countdown.

but i'm wondering if I can do the countdown if I need to join as a shift worker.

You are not meant to have a countdown if your a shift worker but I have just brought a 6 week one and I do work shifts on occasions. If you have a group that you enjoy going to when you are working on your normal group day then I'd say go for it. If your not sure whether you should why not ask your consultant as they may advise you against it.

Hope i've been of some assistance.

  • Not in my book (admittedly a year or two old). In my book eggs are mentioned on page 9, heading Superfree and Free Foods, in the centre of the page it says "on the following pages you will find lists of superfree foods..." and towards the bottom of the page it says "plus all the fabulous Free Foods you can enjoy any time to satisfy your appetite, also with no limits. They include, Lean meat and poultry, fish and seafood, potatoes, pulses and starchy vegetables, rice pasta and grains, eggs, fat free dairy products, vegetable proteins, eg quorn and tofu." Pages 10-13 are lists of superfree vegetables and fruit. Then on page 14 a full list of free food is given, including Eggs. They really are not part of the one-third superfree on the plate. Honest! :D

in my new book that i got in summer they are on the green free food list on page 15 and the red free food list on page 18. however, they are on page 9 colour coded in orange for EE free food.

i always used to take them as super free as last time i did it they were lumped in with quark.

so does this mean now that they are free no matter what day we're on but on EE have to eaten with double their size/weight in veg/fruit otherwise they don't count and have to be synd? seems a bit counter productive tbh, i like a boiled egg for brekkie and i don't want to have to force myself to eat fruit/veg (i.e. more food and calories i just don't want) just to make it free to save syns.

 welcome back alisont. That's good advice from 666paw. I recall something my consultant said the other week that meant that holidays were only recognised at your 'home' group as they're only valid on that computer. Something like that? It's worth checking.

Well done on losses and STS. I wish!!! Well done on your forward planning ww.

I'm almost back on plan today, but it is proving difficult with lots of lovely Christmas stuff still around.

    Today's EE menu:
B: NAS squash, HEB porage, HEA milk plus teas
L: JP with tuna mayo and salad (had it in a cafe so mayo was't optional)
D: beef stir fry with noodles
Syns: 1 square of dark chocolate and a few cubes of cheese (with an apple:))

DH and I watched the Morse prequel on TV tonight. I reckon the woman on the adverts ate about 12 mini magnums through the show! And I'm worried about my syns!:rotfl:

My first day today! Not going to the classes or joining online to be moneysaving but I have a book from 2007 so hoping it will still work a bit for me.

So, my meal plan for today is:

B: Tea using milk from allowance (HEA 1), 1 slice Burgen toast (HEB 1) with frylight scrambled egg and mushrooms (is Frylight free?!)
L: Not sure yet, might be going for lunch with a friend in which case I will take along my book and use all my syns for the day. If not, then veggie pasta (free) with a little cheese (HEA 2)
D: Chicken and veg stew with pasta thrown in (HEB 2) or just veg stew if I have houmous with my sugar snaps as my snack (HEB 2)

Snacks - fruit, sugar snap peas, fat free natural yoghurt with frozen fruit.

Does that work on a green day? Thanks all for the help x

Thank you, I will have a look for it :) Enjoyed my breakfast, fancied some ketchup but 1tsp is 1 syn so I had chopped tomato on the side instead and a couple of grinds of garlic, pepper & chilli salt. Yum!

Hiya, just popping in briefly to say hello and hope you have all had a good Chrimbo and New Year. I have just returned from my diving trip to Egypt where the weather was lovely to not so lovely weather here. Rubbish. Only four more days until skiing though. I will have a read back through the thread and then if I am brave I will weigh myself in the morning. I have my fingers crossed that the diving compensated for all the flat bread and tahini I ate, but hey ho if not, I will be back on the tank come the 16 Jan.
