Hi all,
Can someone tell me if today has been ok for me? EE day (I think....)
Breakfast / lunch - eggs, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes fried in fry light, 2 x quern sausages and baked beans (2 syns)
Dinner - 2 x jacket potatoes cooked plain the microwave topped with a tin of tuna in brine, 1 level tablespoon of extra light mayo (1 sun) and quark. Sauteed onions (in fry light)
Snacks - apple & fibre plus bar (HEb) 25ml of Baileys (2 syns) and a quality street choccie (2 syns)
I had 250ml of semi-skimmed milk in tea (HEa)
Oh I also had a skinny cappuccino sachet (3 syns)
Does that sound alright? I think I'm within the syns limit?
For your day to be EE you need to have a third of your meal as superfree veg/fruit - did you have any superfree veg at dinner because you haven't listed any?:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

Trust me to balls it up already....I only had onions with my dinner, half an onion which I cooked in fry light. Would that not be enough then? I can't face eating any more fruit at this time of night! They have the internet on computers now?! - Homer Simpson

Blackberry-rum: thanks for info re French vs. Melba toast. I think I have a pack of Melba toast which tesco confusingly have called French! I googled it as someone suggested and seems they are 1.5syns, which might help me out for breakfasts in the morning. Thanks for the help though0

Just been reading in the new slimming world magazine about how people like drinking wine to relax. It suggests having a few alcohol free days each week obviously for health reasons but also to give you some confidence so you begin to realise that you can go a few days without drinking.
Anyway, as I don't drink, these words rang true for me in a different way.. I can't go a day without a chocolate treat of some sort, my mind seems convinced that I'll die without eating some sort of seet treat. I'm thinking of having Tuesdays and Thursday's as days without sweet treats, anyone want to join me in abstaining from anything? I'm always better with a buddy! I'll probably just try it for January to start with. just trying Tom break the cycle of needing to eat something bad every night in front of the tv!0 -
Hi Everyone,
Hope you don't mind if I join in.
I have been following this thread for a long time and I have decided that it is time to come out of the shadows. I was a target member with slimming world for over a year now but Christmas has taken its toll and the result is that I have put on nearly a stone in about 5/6 weeks.
So what i am looking for is some tips on how to break the cycle of eating junk and getting back into the way of following slimming world. I do attend group but have not been able to attend in over 7 weeks so going back to group is the first thing I am going to do. I don't really like the format but the threat of a weigh in is the only thing that keeps me on the straight and narrow.
As I will have to go back to paying I would really I would like some extra support from you lovely people.
Thanks in advance.:)
Plan your meals and don't include syns - use them for treats. Vary your healthy b options. Play superfree bingo - type up fruit and veg from orange pages and see how quickly you can cross them all off!
Each pound off the scales = the appropriate weight in tins into a rucksack. want that synful snack ? put the rucksack on and see whether you still want that snack or want to keep the weigh off ?0 -

That's really good advice Eric. I more or less work on the syn free eating myself (just an occasional bit of gravy). I save my syns up for wine as I don't have a sweet tooth. On another thread I find the SNC (School Night Challenge) keeps me on the straight and narrow from Monday to Thursday.0
