  • Morning all!

I did really well on Sunday and Monday .... and then slipped a bit! Back on the tank now though!

Made a vat of butternut squash soup yesterday so thats lunches sorted for a while...

We didn't have a meeting this week and I really missed it - esp as the PMT fairies are here in abundance.

Have just about kept up with the walking over the festivities so am hoping that my weakness ( Christmas cake) won't have put too much extra on me! Will find out on tuesday!

Having a turkey crown for main meal at new year so that will be good - very few sins involved.

Have managed to get together all the Christmas indulgences and put them in a couple of boxes in the kitchen - hoping I'll be less tempted if I have to open a box rather than just dipping in an open packet.

In general the family has been more restrained this Christmas - the kids didn't open their chocolates before lunch and there are still 2 boxes of chocs unopened! Main problem has been OH who bought 3 extra boxes of Coop's After eights and chocolate orange segments because they were cheap.....
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j

WI and am gob smacked as STS  can't believe it. I have not stuck to SW at all this week, haven't really eaten a proper meal since 25th just picked really. Chocolates, doritos & dip, all the usual rubbish, I so don't deserve a STS. Yesterday after the funeral I came back and demolished a tub of dip hubby made with half a bag of lime doritos [felt so sick later, serves me right]. Bet the scales hit me next week :o.

Re the class/no class discussion! I got to target without classes but I was slightly obsessed about the whole thing which helps as its so much easier to fool yourself without the threat of class WI to keep you on the straight and narrow. Good luck with which ever way you go, the lovely people in here are like going to class anyway and no happy clapping to listen too either lol.

Am thinking of Dizzy a lot recently, wonder how things are? Really feel for her at the moment. Sending comforting thoughts her way :A
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Well done:T tie, you should be OK if you eat well in the coming week. Strangely I've had loads of extra syns but I don't feel I've gained much. WI next Thursday so plan to be as good as poss 'til then and see what happens. Fortunately, came into Christmas 3lbs under so had some built in leeway.

Dizzy's been very much on my mind too. I'm sure it somehow helps her to know we care. And she's probably eaten her weight in satsumas by now!:rotfl:

From experience, last year (working towards target) I was as careful as I possibly could be: picked skin off chicken pieces at buffets, took ham out of sandwiches, ate all the garnishes off platters:D This year as I'm at target I have relaxed more and had flexi days but honestly I don't really want it too much.

    Hi everyone!
I'm going to be starting sw again next week.
I cant really afford the meetings and I have all the books from before. Just wondering if most people on here go to meetings or do it themselves?
Im in two minds whether to attend meetings or not!

I've been to meetings personally. I didn't think I'd cope with the 'happy clappy' bits but over time I've met some lovely new people and (a bit like this thread) we are genuinely supportive of each other. However, loads of people on here go it alone with the help of the thread and their books, mags etc. If you want to save a bit of money then why not give it a go for a month or so?

    Back soon with today's menu.;)

Yesterday I did my mealplan and a small shop for the coming week so I'm getting there! Only slip up was a cracker with dolcelatte that I filched from DH, otherwise exactly as planned. I did a slowcooker full of beef and vegetable broth yesterday so that'll help stop me picking and keep the SFs up.

We're seeing the NY in at home as a couple tonight so I'm doing us a nice meal. We're not into puddings but may have a small snack (cheese?:o) later in the evening.

    EE plan for today:
B: NAS squash, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas, fried egg, tomatoes, mushrooms
    L: beef & vegetable broth
D: beef in red wine (inc. mushrooms, celery, carrots, onions) with broccoli and new potatoes
    Snacks: ???
Syns: wine & cornflour in sauce, festive fizz!

    Hello everyone,
I am having a good day so far, really hoping that tonight doesn't derail me.
    Green day:
    HEA1= milk in tea
B: potato cakes, onion wedges and quorn sausages (2 syns)
L: left over vegetable biriani (hm), counting 1 syn for olive oil although I think that is an over estimate
D: HM WM Pizza (2xHEB for base, 1xHEA for Mozzarella) with an enormous salad. Then bananas and raspberries frozen and whizzed up in food processor. Going out tonight, there will be a buffet but am aiming to be so stuffed that I can resist easily. Slimline tonic or diet coke (bleurgh) all night, then two glasses of champagne at midnight (need to check the syns).
Sounds like a good plan, eh? Just need some willpower!
BUT I did run 3 miles this morning, which my Nike + estimates burnt 399 calories! Mustn't get complacent and think I can eat extras because of it, want faster weight loss!
What are other peoples plans for tonight? I have been at home with the kids for years, feels quite strange to be going out for NYE.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

_party_ _party_ _party_ _party_ _party_ _party_

I'm planning a quiet night in and may not even make midnight. Not too fussed about New Year to be honest.

I'm looking forward to getting back to target in 2012 and asap! so that instead of paying my weekly subscription, I can save the pennies and treat myself to something nice. I'm also looking forward to getting into all my slim clothes that don't fit me at the moment (but which used to). I went to wear some jeans on my last day in the office and they didn't fit so I took them off again and sulked instead! I will be fitting back into them real soon. :T

Someone mentioned about attending group above. I find the group really motivational and really miss it if I don't stay to image therapy. Lots of ideas get shared and I always come away feeling really motivated ready for the start of a new week.

Anyway see you all in 2012!

  • Well lost 0.5lb at class this week which I was well chuffed with. Hoping the dreaded Xmas gain doesnt catch up with me next week!! December has been a bit of a right of for me as ended up half a pound heavier than the end of Nov but I am back on the plan now and hoping to get back to my usual losses.
