Good evening lovely ladies (and gents)

Finally settled into the house (if you don't count the MANY boxes filling the attic bedroom and spare bedroom ;))and have at last got the internet etc installed so thought I would pop by for a quick catch up....

Dizzy -so sorry to hear about your mil.... hope you are taking care of yourself too ...

Things are still going well with bumpsydoodle -Im now nearly 23 weeks and at our anomaly scan everything was as it should be :j -I was amazed as the other ladies there who were all about 20 weeks (I was late with mine) Had Mahoosive bumps and well -I don't even look particularly pregnant.... I really thought some of them were about due to give birth, so I was half expecting my baby to be small but apparently he is smack bang as he should be :D-oooh and he IS A HE ..good job too as I have been calling him he for weeks :rotfl:.
Im still 6.5lbs lighter than when I found out about the little one  -although I must be losing it from somewhere as I have definitely gained it around my fatta podge -even my brother commented today that I was losing weight from my face  Im not exactly sure how Im doing it as I can't claim to be exactly "on plan" but Im finding I naturally count syns etc in my head *not that Im claiming not to be counting too high sometimes* :p. I have developed a thing for OJ in a morning and a pint of semi skimmed before bed -and other than that Im now going through a phase of proper comfort food -breast of lamb stew being my latest weapon of choice :D .... mind apart from the lamb its free
We are having a seriously quiet xmas this year-what with all the decorating and moving we are just about starting to catch up with ourselves :T -hopefully by new year we may just have the energy to start searching for stuff for baby -if I can find stuff without bloomin ears on !!!! ooh and traditional white cream baby things -why are they so hard to find?
Gawd Im prattling on :o -I will endevour now to pop in more often and catch up with everyones goings on...
Hugs to all those in need and I hope everyone has a lovely peaceful xmas.....
Great to hear your news, congratulations and keep us posted!!
  • oooh Lovely to see/hear Mrs M! A little boy nestled inside, what a lovely Christmas you are going to have with all the planning etc. I'm confused, did you WANT creamy white clothes or NOT WANT creamy white clothes for the baby?

Love to everyone and welcome to SazDaz, I'm not posting much but reading everything, and managing to maintain myself at just under the double figures which is all I ask :D
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

Well done on the losses folks :T

Thanks Blackberry -Im actually after neutral clothes there seems to be so many bright primary colours or bold designs and at heart I guess Im an old fart :rotfl: -I want him to look like a baby not a mini adult - I don't want him in jeans n trainers
Im sure all the walking around looking for cream/white/baby blue clothes after xmas can be counted as body magic ;)
Hope everyone is having a good evening.....
    Sleep well all....

  • MrsM - I hate seeing kids (not just babies) dressed as mini-me's. To me baby clothing should be in soft calm colours - I wonder if there's anything in it about bold colours and prints and hyperactive kids!

hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j

Morning ladies. Sounds like you're all doing pretty well in the run up to Christmas. I used to post on here but took to lurking when I got pregnant!

Just wanted to delurk and say congrats to MRSM!! Also, did you know there is a pregnancy forum on here? You may like to join us. I have the same problem as you finding neutral baby clothes as we don't know the sex and like you I much prefer babies in 'proper' baby clothes too!

Good luck to you all over xmas, hope the food faries aren't too mean to you! Hopefully I'll be back with you once the little one is here!

    Good to see you posting!

I lost 2.5lbs this week and i was really pleased, cos there has been more vino than normal and i have survived a full Christmas dinner at school.

Only 9 of us stayed at group last night but we had a good laugh and our stand-in leader did a good job - we had a good natter about how to avoid the pitfalls of the festive season....

We don't have a meeting next week - they couldn't get anyone to cover it which got me wondering.....

Of those on here who go to group - what are you doing next week - are you going to be weighed or are you next going in January?
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j
  • Morning everyone :) Welcome newbies :)

Flying visit as I've been avoiding this thread due to my christmas food :rotfl::rotfl: I knew I'd struggle over this period but I got really stressed out about it last friday. So I've formulated a plan! I'm just going to give myself freedom to do what I want for the next week. Then next Thurs after my family trips etc I'm bang back on plan to limit the damage before my first weigh in back the next week. So it's two weeks off and one week back on before weigh in essentially. I've lost 2st 1.5lb now and you know what? If I end up with a gain overall in the first weigh in I'LL JUST HAVE TO LOSE IT AGAIN! I think I know that I can now. I've a long way to go still so two weeks isn't going to kill me. I'm not going mental, but I'm not holding back either. I know it won't work for some people but I know that if I was still keeping track of syns but allowing myself extra I'd just feel like a big fat failure. So I'm accepting whatever the next weigh in brings ;)

Someone remind me I said that when I come back half a stone heavier please? :rotfl::rotfl:

    Happy Christmas to everyone xx

    Morning All,

I think you are doing the right thing Senora Pie. For me a big thing is the guilt I feel when I go off plan so if you have a plan and have given yourself permission then the guilt should be gone, good luck.
Not a great day yesterday, we went visiting last night and got back late so I ended up having pizza and salad, only 2 pieces and no sins so not too bad but need to have a proper planned day today.
Not sorted my food plan out yet but will come back and post it shortly.
Had the strangest dream last night that I had a face lift lol:rotfl:do you think someone is trying to tell me something

I agree with senora that what matters is you need a plan! If the plan is to have a couple of weeks off then that's your choice.

I've never understood how people manage with doing flexi 'officially' when you're supposed to keep a track of syns. How can you possibly go to a party and calculate the syns in a buffet someone else has provided?? Personally I just have what I like when I'm flexi but make certain I'm back on plan ASAP.

Which is where I am today after last night's chinese:drool:
I'm hoping to be syn free today, depending on how I cook dinner.

B: NAS squash, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas, satsuma
L: JP with tuna and pickled beetroot
D: pork steaks, carrots, broccoli (those are definite ingredients but not sure whether to go down the meat and 2 veg route or do a recipe involving tbsps of honey and sherry?)
    S: HEB to use up

A bit vague today, but definitely on plan whatever I decide.

ETA (Edited to Add;)): decided to try the pork with ginger, soy and honey from the SW mag as we'll be having plenty of meat & veg in coming days.
