Thanks Maman I think a Friday weigh in would be better for me.
Yes veg in the frittata and pasta and think I will swap the baked beans for a salad. It's going to take a while to get back in the swing of things.
But very pleased with myself as I've just done 30 mins excercise on the wii:A

Meant to add, one of the hard things for me is wanting to miss meals like breakfast and lunch thinking I will have a better weight loss, I know this doesn't work but I always feel like I am eating loads when I come back to SW, just need to get over the guilty feelings I guess and realise I am doing myself good not bad.

That's right about the syns but you seem to be missing a HEA like bread or cereal?

You are right - I know how I am in the late afternoon, early evening and will probably need more than a few tomatoes at that time so then I'll make myself a sandwich with 2 slices of w/m bread and the tomatoes and perhaps a scraping of humous which will add in a few more syns!

I do envy you snacking on tomatoes. I've found the ones here are just tasteless or bitter in the last few weeks, however much I pay for them!

Yes I am very lucky that we get such wonderful fruit and vegetables here although the UK has got better - certainly better than when I lived there 20 years ago!

I've done all my weightloss by saving most syns for the weekends and maybe that's your plan too (especially this weekend) but you must remember to have your syns.

I don't think I'll have any problems using up my syns ;)

    My own EE menu:
B: NAS squash, HEB porage, HEA milk plus teas, banana

Don't really know how to do this quote stuff so some comments in red above.

NAS (No Added Sugar). I always start the day with a large glass (currently Ribena). When I started SW I really missed my large, rehydrating glass of fruit juice in the mornings so this is my substitute.

I think it helps to tell yourself that you're not on a diet but adopting a healthy eating plan, which is true. It makes me feel virtuous.:D So you're not cutting back just making sure you eat plenty of healthy food and limiting things we know aren't good and should be treats (syns). :Ton the exercise.

Personally I find WI on a Monday works really well as it stops me going overboard at weekends. Then again, I'm a greedy lush normally :rotfl:.

  • Thanks Maman - must remember that NAS!

Yes WI day for me is also for my sins (pun intended!) Monday.

Well it's certainly working well for you!!!!!

    Morning All,

I didn't do too badly this weekend despite visiting friends. I overindulged a wee bit on Saturday with red wine and biscuits but that's about it.

    Today is EE again.

B - Porridge with Banana (HEB) & 125ml Skimmed Milk (part HEA)
S - Caramel Snack a Jack and a small dollop of Philly Extra Light (3 syns and part HEA)
L - Mixed up leftover haddock/cabbage/new pots/onion/tomato and pepper with some FF cottage cheese and 3 eggs to make a SW quichey thing. I had half and it was sooooo nice. Had a small blob of Sweet Chilli Sauce so will count 1.5 syns for that.
D - Is a slow cooker Spanish Chicken creation that my Mom has put on. It has some Chorizo in it so will need to syn that but not sure how much yet.
S - Will be fruit and yoghurt.

I made myself do 30 mins of resistance training/pilates this morning and burned 300 cals. I have my first half marathon in 12 weeks time so my training schedule for that kicks in tomorrow. Come rain or snow I will be going out for a run.

    Target Weight: 133lbs

    Evening all,

Just thought I would pop back in and say that I found out today I haven't got the job I applied for. This would normally send me screaming for the biscuit tin. Not this time had a nice hot bath and a big glass of water and will wait for my tea:jI keep reminding myself that healthy eating is my number one priority and must come before everything else:D

Sorry to read that Julie but great that you were able to rise above it. I totally agree with you - lots of crap going on in my life at the moment but I'm keeping myself to myself and trying to stay focused on me and mine for the moment.

Keep up the great work and good luck with the job hunt.
