    Hi, all.

Well done to everyone on their losses and big hugs to those in need of one.

Someone posted earlier that although bananas are free, not to eat them too regularly. Well i have at least 2 every day. I'm just interested in the thoughts of others, could that seriously effect weight loss? Or is it a case of they might not suit some people, but for others they are fine? hmmm....... I may have to try an experiment!

I can't remember if I posted my WI result for Thursday but anyway I lost 0.5lb which isn't much but at least I've managed to lose for 3 straight weeks now ( I seemed to lose one week then gain the next week for ages), so thats a major step forward for me at the moment.

  • Hi you lovely losers.
May I join you? I have been battling with my weight forever and now I'm reaching 28 I really don't want to be fat at thirty! :( Im fed up of dragging all this extra weight around with me and I have a loooong way to go (9st!!!). Gosh did I really admit it?? It feels like I am at an AA meeting "hi my name is pigsmayfly and I am a fatty" lol. Sorry for the rant guys, I'm just checking in before I wonder off and remind myself of the extra easy plan. Bye for now x

    Gutted - STS
after being 100% on the plan - upping up food intake slightly, i have stayed the bl00dy same.
it just makes no sense to me - i went to a different class as should have weighed in yesterday, the consultant gave me an SAS log - i said i will fill it in but i am honestly on the plan 100% and not cheating. i keep a paper and online food diary etc...
i just don't know what more i can do :(

Welcome to all newbies! It's really great that so many of you are thinking abot weightloss pre-Christmas. It's traditional to make it a New Year's Resolution so you'll all have a month or more's head start!:j

It was me that posted about bananas. It's something my consultant said to us so I've limited myself to 2/3 per week. I reasoned that it was quite a 'stodgy' fruit and very easy to wolf down so maybe that's why.

Yesterday I made a slow cooker full of bolognese sauce which was so delicious that I ate a bowlful on its own as a snack. Today I've made a big tray of roasted veg pasta salad as I have 2 days coming up when I'll need packed lunch. That tastes delicious too. I've frozen most of the sauce now but just kept enough out for my lunch. Don't you just love SW? :D

    My EE day:
B: NAS squash, HEB porage, HEA milk for teas, banana
    L: JP with bolognese
D: beef stir fry with noodles and loads of veg
    Snacks: pasta salad??
Syns: 0.5 in shared portion of ready to wok noodles.
  • Well everyone, although I posted what I had up to midday yesterday I thought I would post my whole days worth here and now in the hope that if I have gone drastically wrong some one could point me in the right direction. Here goes: Extra Easy

    B- 28g Ready Brek HEB
250ml SS Milk in Ready Brek & Teas HEA (3syns for sugar)
    Large handful Blueberries
    S- Banana
    L- Loads Ham
    2 Hard Boiled Eggs
    Loads Grapes
    Large slice Watermelon
    Apple
Banana & Custard Muller (1 syn)
    T- SW Chips
    Gammon Steak
    Dry Fried Egg
    2 Large slices fresh Pineapple
    2 Tablespoons Beans
S- Banana Chocolate Option (1 syn)
    Boost Cake Bar (10 syns)

Really wish I hadn’t had that cake bar now as I had no idea they were that many syns. That will teach me for eating first syning later! I am not 100% sure 10 syns is right but I have gone off the old 20 Calories = 1 Syn and they weigh in at 191 calories!!!!!!!!
Same goes for the new Banana options so I have just guessed. If anyone knows for sure I would be grateful if you could let me know. Looking at it now I should have had more Superfree with my evening meal. Oh well, live and learn.

Change of plan today, I am going to try a green day. This is mainly due to not having much time this morning to prep anything so I just grabbed a pasta n sauce for my lunch at work. I doubt I will get any tea tonight as I have to go back to work after dropping the kids off with BIL so will maybe save one of my HEb and have some cereal when I do get home, prob around midnight. Quick question on Red & Green days. I know you’re allowed 2 HEa but are you allowed to use the same one twice. For example can I have 500ml of semi skimmed milk today to count as 2 HEa?

Sorry for the long post and thank you for all the help.
    Just little old me!

Hi Kahunababy From what I can see you need to add a ryvita to your Readybrek to make up your HEB, otherwise it wouldn't have enough fibre. I can't see how much the Boots Cake Bar is online but if you are more specific with the name I will recheck for you. If the Options sachet is the Banoffee Indulgence one that is 3 syns. If it is a normal one then they are usually between 1/2-2 syns but again it is not coming up on syns online. Yes you can have 2 x HEX's that are the same. Also for your tea, I would say you probably need more super free food in that as I'm not sure your pineapple would be 1/3 of your plate but then you had already identified that so you know what you need to do.

I have been to the gym and ran 8.5km plus Level 1 Day 6 of the 30 Day Shred (943 cals burned) and this is my green food plan:

B - Dorset Fruity Porridge with blueberries and banana, ryvita original and 125ml of Skimmed milk (HEA & HEB)
L - HM Butternut Squash Soup, 2 x WM bread (HEB)
    S - 2 x Ryvita fruit crunch (6 syns), 71g Philadelphia light (HEA), 1/2 Options Coconut (1 syn), Plum
D - Med Veg Stew with Pearl Barley
S - New York Cheesecake Muller Light (1/2 syn), Grapes

Nice to see some other newbies joining too. Good luck to you all.

I know dimbo's absolutey right about some cereals needing Ryvita or Scanbran to top up fibre. I must admit it's not something I've ever done myself. I was happy to take a long time (10 months) to get to target but had little things (like the fibre, measuring milk properly, eating 100% of HEXs) that I knew I'd tweaked/cheated a bit on and could tighten up if needed. Not that I'm encouraging cheating but...

    When's your WI dimbo?

As long as tweaking doesn't stall losses then I would tweak away merrily :D

I must confess I am an every morning weigher. However, I suppose Monday is the weekly anniversary since I got back on track and I lost 3lbs this week so I'm happy. This weekend is going to be a bad one though so I doubt I will do the same again next Monday. Oh well, as you say scenic route here I come.
