Good morning folks - gosh lots of newbies this week
TIE - you have really been through the mill in the last few weeks - I am not surprised that you are feeling down at the moment - give yourself some time to heal first (((hugs)))
WI day for me - wasn't expecting much but ................
-3lbs!
Not only a brilliant chuff making loss but also.............
Not only that but ...................
I have now reviewed my target and have lowered it making 15lbs to all time adult low!
I couldn't have done it without all the support and inspiration of you all. Back in early January the mountain seemed insurmountable but I have made it abate with a couple of slips along the way - 3 holidays and several weekends away saw to that
What I am saying is the plan works even if you have a life along side of it. Have your life but don't forget to get back on plan as soon as you can and keep to it like glue.
Reading back posts I have realised something about my eating. I have been doing red and green days and avoiding EE 'cos I didn't understand it.
I have been having 2/3rds of my plate as veggies and more SF or SS afterwards with the fruit. In the last few weeks I have only been loosing 1lb per week - I put this down to adding more red days as we were emptying the freezer - this week I added more green days in (freezer now empty)and lo and behold - a better loss week.
Might have to keep up with more green than red for a few more weeks to make sure I have some wriggle room for Christmas.
I am allowing myself 3 days for Christmas when anything that doesn't move fast enough is fare game  then it will be back to the plan until New Years Day when it will be a roast dinner with all the trimmings.
Keep the faith folks and tweek the plan to suit yourself. We are all different and something that works for some might not be right for you.Mags - who loves shopping0 -
Those really do sound a lot like thyroid symptoms - I was cold all the time and had aching legs, and my brain just felt thick; I thought I was getting old, although I was only 35. Only got diagnosed as couldn't conceive and had blood tests for that.
I am a lurker here, so have been following your posts and the terrible time you have been having. Hope you are beginning to heal a little. The good thing about underactive thyroid is that it is fairly simple to remedy once it is confirmed and if GP starts you on thyroxine you should feel better gradually but quite definitely. It affects your metabolism, and weight loss can be hard so it's not as off topic as you thought!
Thanks so much for your reply, gives me more ammunition for the Dr knowing that. I'm know wondering if I might have had it for more years than I care to remember as I had trouble conceiving [son is IVF] and have always struggled with my weight and always felt the cold AND always had leg pain [since a child]. Makes you wonder why I never had it checked before.
BIG WELL DONE MAGS :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:TIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Well done Magnolia, that's amazing! Total inspiration for me, I want to be you this time next year
Started the day with 30 day shred! I frustrate myself sometimes, whenever I start something I go for it totally gung ho. Then I get bored and drop it. I know the answer is variety for me, I just need to keep reminding myself of that!
B 2x satsuma, handful of grapes
L bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes
D I think will be a roast, most likely garlic chicken
Fibre plus + babybel hexs,
I stirred half an options into some total 0% last night, that'll be 1 syn with more fruit
Will probably have choc fingers for my syns again. It's a skill how long I can make each finger last
4 weeks to go! I love ChristmasREALLY want to make my 2 stone by then. My last weigh in is 14th Dec as I'm away on the 21st. If I don't make the 2 stone by then I may try and find another group to weigh in at on the following week. Only 7lbs to go!

Hope you don't mind me jumping in ... but if any of you can help, I'd be really happy.:T
I am dead keen to start SW but I have a weakness for bread. Did anyone else struggle when it came to cutting bread out? I have slowly introduced the SW idea into our food (lurve the chips;);)) but I know I will miss bread. I have tried the SW bread and it's not for me:o
So how did every one else cope? Or is it just me addicted to bread:o0 -

mags - well done :T fantastic loss...
TIE - i have all of the symptoms you describe and my bloods are normal. The symptoms can be due to many things, including just being washed out (and you have had a rough ride of late) so don't pin all your hopes on thyroid. You may need different investigations. A basic blood test will either dx or rule it out for you. Underactive thyroid is actually not that common.
drunken-fool - there is a lady at my class who struggles with bread. She just has to not have it as one slice just leads to another. I also like bread but have not missed it too much - there are several you can choose from and have 2-3 slices a day if you want. I still often have a toast fix
EE again today - think i ate enough sf?
B: 2 nimble, 2 laughing cow light (heb, 1/2 hea)
l: apple & banana
d: lean steak strips, noodles, mushroom stir fry (mushroom, beansprouts, carrots, onion, cabbage)
sn: walkers french fries (4) milk in tea (1/2 hea) wil have frozen muller later if req.
WI tomorrow so i will know if upping my food has helped.....

Good Morning
It's a beautiful day here in Lincolnshire, hope it stays.
Anyway another Green day for me again:
B - 2 x WG toast (HEB), baked beans, 3 x mini babybel light (HEA)
S - Fruit (more cherries and grapes as have loads)
L - HM Butternut Squash soup
S - 2 x Ryvita Fruit Crunch (HEB), Banana
D - Veg soup with Pearl Barley
S - Lemon Cheesecake Muller light (1 syn), more fruit
Lots of water, green tea, swimming, the 30 Day shred and perhaps a walk.
Dimbo, just being nosy - what's your WG bread? I can't work it out
Magnolia, that's absolutely shockingly fantastic. Very well done indeed! !!!!!!:j:D:beer:
Senora pie - did you ever bite the two ends off and drink your tea through a chocolate finger? Then you have a very short window to get it in your mouth before it falls apart. Oops, perhaps not the best thread for this talk:oA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
