WBB, can you tell me what the boooks are called? Thought I might try to find some on ebay or amazon.

Thanks adn well done on your loss! You're beating me by 2 pounds now... going to try to catch you up!

Thanks Sarahs999! I'm delighted but next week is a * week for me and I have a meal out tonight, next Friday and Saturday with a kiddies party to cater for in between so I'm not holding out much hope for the next two weeks:D. It was so nice to go clothes shopping yesterday (not so MSE though:o) and fit easily into a size 12 instead of sucking in my stomach and hoping it would get looser once I'd worn them in!

I paid the extra £20 for the books even though I'm an online member but to be honest, you can do without them. One of them is the Food Optimising lists and the other is the Body Magic book. Really not worth the £20 if you ask me - the Body Magic book is no more than a pamphlet. if you go to the Slimming World Website and download the food lists, they've everything that's in the book and sometimes extra. There's also a few recipes I've downloaded although to be honest, I usually just modify what I already cook. My main reason for paying the money was to give myself a good kick in the backside and motivate myself to lose weight (the more I lose, the less it costs per lb:rotfl:)

The food lists are under: My Weight Loss Plan/Healthy Eating page, then there's a green panel to the right with a link: Downloading your Food Optimising lists.

Ah OK - got those already on my computer. That's a cheek of them - to charge for something that already exists online!
TBH I'm not very impressed with them as an online company. Their diet might work but they are seriously lagging in the technology stakes - the website is clumsy and takes an age to navigate, and they don't have an app for the syns, which would be seriously useful - think about the amount of times you are out and about and need to know the syn value of something instantly. Why no app? The details already exist in their online syns database so it can't be that hard just to turn the database into an app! I would happily pay for it. Seems like they need to employ a proper IT development person.

Saidan, how awful!!!!!!! I see why you are so cautious!!!

Yesterdays food for me - i tried a red day for a change

B Toast HEB egg bacon & yog.
L Chicken drumsticks with loads fried peppers & onions and bean sprouts and steamed carrots
D Baked eggs with cheese HEA (didn't intentionally have eggs twice , meat i took out went off!)

Fruit & snacks - 2 oranges, punnet strawbs, large plum, 3 muller lights, diet pepsi, NAS dilutable, HEB Hi fi bar

    Syns - butter on toast 1 (1/2 tsp) , mini meringue 1, mikado stick 1/2 and S & V skips 4. Total 6.5 Weekly total 13.5/20

Exercise - walked 30 mins. Very limited with ex at the moment as unwell.

Today - I am planning a roast dinner tonight. I've had this butter basted chicken Mum bought me in the freezer for months. It's 8 syns for the whole thing which includes the skin. Some of the butteryness I imagine will be left in the pan. Would you count the 8 syns per whole thing or remove a couple for the skin?

Off to catch up on the posts :)

I heartily agree - the website is shockingly bad and i was a bit annoyed at what you get for £79! So once the 3 months are up I won't be giving them any more money. Probably should have just gone to a couple of classes and got the books there.

But still, I can't complain about the diet, it does work, even allowing for a few bad days - so far the cost is around £11 per Lb lost:p.

Saidan, i don't know about anyone else here, but if that was all i ate, i would be ravenous. I've had to increase what i'm eating as i wasn't losing weight eating less.

    Does this help?

Cadbury, Highlights Hot Chocolate Drink, all varieties, dried, 11g sachet 2 2 2
Cadbury, Highlights Hot Chocolate Drink, all varieties, dried, 11g serving 2 2 2
Cadbury, Instant Hot Chocolate, dried, 1 level tsp 1 1 1
Cadbury, Instant Hot Chocolate, dried, 28g sachet 5½ 5½ 5½

Nic, i went and bought the crumbles today thinking how great it was, and accidentally bought full fat wrong brand ones which are 5.5 syns :( Lucky OH will get them so he will be happy! !!!:o:rotfl:

thanks zippy for looking that up for me - i'll have 4 tsp of powder to 350ml skim milk - so hea and 4 syns.

i've never been this hungry! but i have no idea what to snack on cos i can't do all the veg. i'm peckish now so might have a pickled egg. laughing cow salad is very nice.
the occasional bag of walkers keeps me going.
but the truth is i am starving  what do people snack on besides fruit/veg?

i too find the sw website carp - but i do keep my diary online to keep me on track.

Saidan, your breakfast is tiny! You could eat eggs, bacon, omelette, bowl of yoghurt and fruit, and all for free. Make a fab chicken hot pot and serve with potatoes for lunch or dinner?. I agree with Zipy - I'd starve and be miserable on that tiny amount of food - plus you could screw up your metabolism adn go into starvation mode if you're not careful. Here's what I ate today:

B: Quark and berries, plus Alpen lite bar (half HEB)
L: jacket pot and chickpea stew with loads of veg
D: not sure - possibly pork and couscous.

Snacks: fruit, yogs, and the other Alpen light bar, plys cappucion to use up milk HEA
