i didnt have brekkie due to a headache that i also had yesterday - i forced the banana down at 11am just so i had something.
    l: batcherlors savory rice
d: i read your replies so changed it to: 2 nimble (heb) 1/3 tin baked beans, and fried egg (frylight) and a mullerlight.
    i'm really full now ;);)
looking forward to my hot choc later - to use my hea milk.

sarah - i do sometimes have a cooked breakfast.....but could never eat that amount of food - so would have the yog and fruit for breakfast, and the cooked breakfast for lunch IYKWIM..........i can't really do EE so that affects snacking a lot i think.

    Hi All,

Well something has just happened to me which has spurred me on in Op LGD (Little Green Dress) even more. A guy that I have had the hots for since June, just appeared at my door without warning. And I looked like crud having just got back from swimming. I have only seen him a couple of times in the last 6 months as we have both been away with work. He will be at the ball next Friday though so I really need to look my best. Better than today anyway. It was really rather awkward having just put intensive conditioner in my hair and wearing my worst slob out clothes. Oh well.

So another green day for me:
B - Dorset Fruity Porridge with 1 ryvita (HEB), Skimmed milk(HEA) and blueberries, strawberries and raspberry.
    S - Cherries & grapes
    L - Superspeed soup and 2 x WG bread
    S 0 2 x Ryvita fruit crunch (6 syns), quark, banana and 1/2 white options (1)
D - Veg stew with pearl barley
S - Plum and lemon muller light (1 syn)

I did an hours swimming (478 cals) and the 30 Day Shred (156 cals).

I might have to have some gin in order to forget my embarrassment.

Saidan - thanks:o I tried them on last night and they button!!!!:jStill too tight but i knew that. I can't reconcile with my brain that im this close to getting into them :p
I accidentally bought some jeans that were a size too small (more than one size really ;)) from Asda just as I began my "SW journey". I couldnt be bothered returning them and intended to take them to the charity shop but never did. I rediscovered them, fitted into them, and only had a few weeks' wear before they were TOO BIG for me! It was a lovely feeling but I never imagined I would fit them when I bought them.

Welcome kahunababy, course you can join! And a lot of people no longer go to classes but still come on here and exchange tips. I'm an online member until January when I'll stop contributing and go it alone with the books. It really works once you get into the SW habits.....Can't believe it's working so well because I'm eating like a horse:p.

I think that is the key, SBB - getting into the right habits/getting out of the wrong ones. And all that horsey eating is of the right things. tbh stuff that's too greasy now just tastes horrible to me.
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

...they don't have an app for the syns, which would be seriously useful - think about the amount of times you are out and about and need to know the syn value of something instantly. Why no app? .
That's a good idea, I would love to have a syns app!!
  • I'm going to dinner with some friends tomorrow and volunteered to make chocolate truffle torte for pudding as it's so easy - then remembered what's actually in it (1lb chocolalte and 1pint of cream):eek::eek:

I've just licked the bowl to check that it's OK :o, but think that tomorrow I might have to eat the fruit salad that someone else is providing or meybe just have a very small bit.

Fortunately there will be salad and veg but it might have to be a very flexi day. I am looking forward to get together with friends though.
I need to make a new list for 2014
think of something to put on it!:rotfl:
Try harder for 2014 as I never managed it in 2012 or 2013

Blackberry Rum - how exciting they fit you!!!!:j How gutting they are now too big - but in a great way of course!!!:D I held onto quite afew older smaller pieces of clothing so i won't be stuck for jeans for quite some time. I seem to have built up quite the collection!!!!!:o

    Dimbo
    - hope you drank your embarassment away. I'm sure you can't have looked that bad !!!:p :D

    Saidan
    - snacks are a problem if you're limited on your fruit and veg intake. Where is todays other HEB by the way? Am i missing it?

    My suggestions would be

Make your meals a lot bigger and more satisfying? What protein sources do you have in your diet?

    Meal ideas

Eggs on toast (scrambled, baked, fried, boiled)
Cheese on toast topped with poached eggs
Eggs, beans and quorn bacon with chips/toast
Lentil dahl with pilau rice (i cook everything from scratch where possible so am giving HM suggestions)
    Quorn chicken curry
Spag bol made with quorn mince topped with HEA cheese
    Cottage/shepherds pie topped with mash
Baked potatoes with beans/cheese/maybe FF cottage cheese spiced up
Potato salad type dish with a couple of hard boiled eggs
Fried tofu with spicy noodles (or flavoured noodles)
Quorn chicken and black bean sauce with noodles/boiled rice
    Savoury rice with quorn steaks
Couscous with quorn tagine of some sort?
    Couscous burgers ?
    Bean burgers?

Just a few ideas - hard to suggest without knowing what your tastes/other dietary restrictions are and how much of an inclination you have to cooking and quorn. My OH is veggie - once you teach yourself to cook with it, it's really not so bad!!!! I made a quorn SW lasagne, and it really wasn't half bad at all.:j He gobbled it down :p

My thought would be by eating bigger, more satisfying meals, you have less of a need to snack.
You could try using one HEB as bread - toast and beans etc or what ever , and the other as two alpen lights - which you could keep for snacks? One could be between breakfast and lunch, and one between lunch and dinner?

I really feel for you if you are hungry doing SW - don't let yourself be :A

    My food today -

    B Banana, muller light, pineapple
L 2 baked potatoes with veg packed (spinach, mange tout, tin toms, onions, carrots, peppers, courgette) spag bol and some HEA cheese
D Roast chicken (2), gravy (1) , honey roast carrots (1/2) and roasted peppers and onions

Snacks - half a punnet strawbs in yog, grapes, Hi fi bar, apple
Syns 3.5 ( the chicken is 3 portions worth, i removed the skin and took away 2 syns leaving the whole thing as 6 syns)

    E 30 min walk

    EEK long post.:o

  • Happy Saturday All,

Zippy I really did look bad, and to make things worse I just garbled on like a shy 15 year old with a crush and even pulled out a leek and told him how I was going to make soup today. I really know how to impress and make myself sound interesting. Not. You gotta laugh :rotfl:

Anyway, I only had two G & T's and 6 smarties. So well within synnage allocation.

Today will be another green day:
B - Dorset fruity porridge with a ryvita (HEB) skimmed milk (HEA), strawberries, raspberries and blueberries.
S - Fruit (cherries and grapes probably)
L - 2 WG toast (HEB), baked beans and 3 mini babybel light (HEA)
S - 2 Ryvita fruit crunch (6 syns), quark, 1/2 white options (1 syn) and a some more strawberries
D - Mediterranean Veg Stew with Pearl barley
S - Muller Light Lemon Cheesecake (1 syn) and more fruit

I will also drink lots of green tea and water, go to the gym and do the 30 day shred. And I will making soup. So very rock and roll. :)

    Have a great day x

Hi all, still hanging in here [just :(] WI STS thought I may have gained as not eaten enough this week. Have mostly ate veg soup as thats cheap to make. Won't bore you all with my situation though, I'm depressed enough so don't want you all feeling bad for me either. Just a big thank you for all your support and I will [hopefully] be able to share some good news instead of all the doom and gloom.

Well done on the losses and all your good news I am genuinally pleased for you all :T
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

  • Right, I am sitting down to do my weekly planning and write my shopping list. Can anyone please explain superfree foods. I know I should be eating them but with every meal? Is it the same on red, green and ee days? I remember my consultant mentioning it but she didn't really go into it too much and I am still really confused!
    Just little old me!
