Could I please join in? I have joined Slimming World tonight. I've a lot to lose.
When I got weighed tonight, I was watching her writing in my book. I nearly fainted. I said 'omg, I knew I had put on weight but I had no idea I was
24 stone 8 lbs'. She said, you're not, that's the date - 24.8 (24th August). Ever felt a fool. lol.0 -

WELCOME - of course you can join us - even if you haven't got 24 stone 8 lbs to lose!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was so funny (although I can see why it wouldn't be to you) You will never forget the date you joined. Just ask about anything and one of us will help if we can. x0 -
Hi everyone :hello:
Could I join in with this thread? I used to go to SW classes several years ago, but the weight has gradually crept back on, so I need to get back on plan.
Quick question - was wondering, do most people here go to class or not? I have got out all my SW books and was thinking about 'going it alone', but thought having to go to class each week would keep me on track.
Bye for now,
Jo
Welcome Jo, I am doing/have done sw on my own, well this is my group and everyone here is a :A. I don't think I would have been quite so brave if this lovely lot weren't here to motivate me. Saying that you really need to be slightly obsessive to go it alone especially if theres no-one around to support you. But hang on here and its like going to club [without the happy clapping :rotfl:]. Do whatever you need to do to get to where you want to be, you can do it [I did].
Food today:
B - weetabix hot water/milk [.5a] coffee
Snack - fruit salad [2x apples, melon, pineapple] activia
L - mugshot, 4 sticks celery with garlic/herb philly light [.5a]
T - turkey stirfry [3.5 sauce], cauli, g/beans, peas, onions, noodles
Snack - hubby force fed me 2 minstrals, the !!!!!! [about 2 syns do you think?], s/cow [4.5]
Syns - 10
Well done losers and hugs to those in need, keep the faith and we will get there :A [technically I'm already there and hauling you all on a long rope :rotfl:]Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Went to see the GP today to get the results of recent blood test because we have been trying for a baby for a long time and it's not happening. It turns out that I am not ovulating at all. My progesterone level is very low- 1.5. I have been referred to the fertility clinic. Both of us are very sad so the diet today has been out of the window. DH took me out for curry. I don't even want to think about how many syns it was. I even had the dessert. Hopefully will be back on track from tomorrow.
I know how you must be feeling as been there myself, they can do so much these day and I have a 17 year old IVF 'baby' to prove it. Take some time to come to terms with it all but try to stay positive and put todays food blip behind you. I will say if you go the IVF route it will make it easier if you can lose weight although saying that I wasn't an ideal weight when I went through it.
You may not even need IVF if they give you tablets to make you ovulate. Fingers crossed for some good news soon, take care of yourself x x x x x xIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
