  • Hi All

just wondered if anyone has tried the Syn Free Pizza (with the mashed potato base) as i tried it at the weekend and, while the potato was crispy on the outside it turned out to still be mushy on the inside so when i went to dish it up it didn't look anything like pizza - just a whole load of mush!!!!!

It tasted delicious but i'd like to be able to take it off of the baking tray in a reasonable condition. Does anyone have any ideas of how long it takes and how thinly i should spread the potato?

    Thanks

    Tracey

Can't really help tracey as I've not made it myself but people at my group have said the base needs to be really dry. They use instant mash and say that Asda SP is better for the 'pastry' than branded Smash. Hopefully a pizza expert will be along soon.

    My EE menu today:
B: NAS squash, HEB toast, baked beans, HEA milk for teas
L: cucumber & tomato sandwich, maybe fruit
D: beef stir-fry with loads of veg with straight-to-wok noodles
    Snacks: none planned
Syns: 0.5 in the noodles (1 syn per sachet shared with DH) so I'm not worrying about that!!:rotfl:

d:? grrrr WI today so perhaps i should get dh to do me something to come home to - oh i'll make a veg stew for when i get back. he can just stir occasionally. and think i have some chicken in the freezer.
need to do a shop - amazing how quickly my fridge has gone down!

    Hi all! (polishes halo)

I've had a really great weekend, foodwise considering I've not cooked once as we've been out and about Christmas shopping etc.!!. Saturday was a takeaway but I had a chicken kebab with loads of salad, so I'd say apart from syns in the pitta and any in what the chicken was marinaded in , that it was prettymuch on plan. Sunday, out at lunchtime so harvester, filled up from salad cart then spitroast chicken with new potatoes, which I couldn't manage to finish as I was stuffed. Then today out at Lunchtime today so had jacket potato with tuna.

I realise it wasn't perfect BUT there were so many opportunities to say 'Stuff it' and have chips etc. and yet I resisted.
I'll take any victory that comes my way and I'm feeling really chuffed with myself.
Keep it up everybody, Christmas is around the corner and we'll all be looking fab. :D

evening all. the mood on here seems positive; that's good!

    Today I've had:
    B: berries, quark and banana
L: homemade chickpea stew and muller light
D: Prawn and saffron risotto and another yoghurt
    Heb: two alpen light bars
    HEA: milk
snacks: fruit, also a packet of shapers prawn cocktail twists (3.5 syns) and will have a glass of wine later this evening (6 syns).

I do feel very full though and wonder if this is too much? It's all on plan but you know...

It's not too much as long as it's not too much for you Sarah! I think I eat more. But what plan are you following. If EE I can't see much superfree except at breakfast with some fruit for snacks. and if it's red or green then your chickpeas/rice or the prawns have to be counted as HEB.
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

i never would have thought it possible to loose 3 stone in 4 months, but that was just how it worked out for me,

i think smaller targets helps to keep you motivated,

good luck with it all, keep updating your losses :D

Oooo 3 stone in 4 months, that's lovely to hear!

Totally agree re: small targets, I've found that when my stomach is rumbling I have to take a few minutes to remind myself why I'm not going to reach for the pack of biscuits. So sometimes my goal is to just make it through the next hour without snacking on junk.
I hit a bit of a wall today and craved sugar and just wanted to pack it in but I'm back on track now. Hopefully :(

I think you'll see the result of your hardwork at your next WI. Positive in fact.

I think deejae may be right saidan, it often goes in 2 week cycles for me. Keep posting your daily mealplans and if we notice anything wrong, we'll shout.

I'm glad to report I've had a good day back on the plan. Felt peckish late on this evening so made myself a plate of fried potatoes with pickled beetroot. Yum!!
