  • Thank you to everyone who sent me hellos! I have the books already donated from a friend, so will just try to be strong! I have had a quite big breakfast - eggs, bacon, beans mushrooms, tomatoes - cant quite believe i was allowed to eat it all tbh!!!

Anyway, the real telling point will come in a while, im off to Asda to buy some baking ingredients and am hoping to bake some cookies and lunch box goodies as trying to become OS as well as slim..... ooh dear. Quite a challenge in itself, i have SUCH a sweet tooth. :D

Hope everyone is having a nice day, its chilly here in Kent, and the lady on the radio has just announced that somewhere in our county it is actually snowing!!!!!!

:happyhear Not everyones cup of tea, but just right for me!! :coffee:

Not sure about final target, would like to be a nice size 14 (18 ish atm) - but atm i can't see myself there!!! :o

i am totally the same....cannot visualise anything...i still see myself as i did 44lbs ago :o
  • I have no idea what I look like below a small-ish 16. But in my mind I looked as big then as I do now! Just come back into an 18 now. Weigh in tonight, so fingers crossed! Going to put a chicken curry in the slow cooker I think.

thanks for the suggestions - i ended up with a satsuma in desperation before i started on the multipack crisps

last mugshot i had was rank  but will explore the other flavours. hadn't thought of a warming soup. i've got the stuff now to make a lovely stew for tomorrow - i can then eat it as i wish in the day.

what else do people snack on?

i'm a size 16 and refuse to buy bigger - was a 6 when i married 10 yrs ago  i blame it on my dh being so wonderful and taking me out to dinner nearly every week..........

good luck for the weigh in senora

Saidan what can i snack on? besides fruit? all green suggestions welcome!

On a green day I always have bean soup (usually batch made and frozen. I mix red and green days)
chopped up hard boiled egg and tomato
Mugshot (I only like the chicken one.I make it thick and add some soy sauce!)
    celery and cottage cheese
Couscous -- made up and in container to pick at.
    SW Quiche
    carrots
    and all the usual fruit
    Cheese scones?
    HTH
  • Ooooohhhhh This is NOT easy. I was doing so well, well I wasnt picking. And then i made chocolate chip cookies, FOR THE KIDS, for lunch boxes and to go with ice cream for pudding. And i licked the mix off the spoon, then i licked (well actually not exactly "licked", more like ran my fingers round) the mix bowl. mmm.
So i made homemade lamb burgers for tea, and didnt have mine in a bun. and made SW chips. BUT dh bought me home a bar of galaxy, as a "ive been thinking of you" treat. And ive eaten it, all. :(
I agree with Saiden, i need to find something satisfying to snack on. Im due to have quite a large operation in new year, which will mean i will be bedridden for several weeks, so honestly need to knuckle down now, otherwise I will end up looking like me mum!!! (sorry mum).

Another day tomorrow, another go. Have a nice evening everyone.

  • hello,

rejoined slimming world after a year off and am wondering if anyone can help me.

I work 1-6pm so making dinner isn't that easy unless i do it in the morning, is there any meals you could suggest that i could do in the slow cooker or don't take half hour to make or that i could make the night before?

    xx

i ended up with a 2nd b choice of nimble bread for a salad sandwich
    and a pink lady apple.

i find snacking tougher than anything - particularly as i'm supposed to stay under 10g fibre per day.

dragon fly- go online to the recipe section, in the family section there are loads of meals eg, chilli, spag bol, curry etc - and they can all go in the slow cooker. soups & stews etc are also good.

home mum - i'm seven weeks post op, and think i just wanna snack cos i can't do much else.

galaxy nom nom nom.....i can't even look at chocolate cos i'll completely loose the plot.
