"Slinks into room"
Hi folks, I've not posted for an absolute age, (hangs head in shame)in fact hardly anyone will probably even remember me so I should probably regard this as a fresh start on the here. I've been lurking and keeping an eye on things on here.
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to take it easy, try and look after yourself you have different prioritys at the moment and you shouldn't feel guilty about that. I'm pleased to see flat eric and blackberry are still here, my old sparing partner dizzy's on hol's so she'll not mention the famous 'rocky road desert incident' (I thought I'd get in first :rotfl:) or give me a hard time lol. And there are a few others that I remember.
Basically I'm really in need of a big kick up the jacksy, I did my 'Christmas Wish' at group as to achieve ( a revised, as I really had it too low before) target by Christmas .........well that aint gonna happen unless I pull my proverbial finger out.
I remember this place has always been a fab place for help and support and I'm going to try and get on here regularly to help me keep on the straight and narrow as much as possible, also if I can support anyone else along the way I'll be happy too.
I remember you Lo, welcome back. Don't feel bad just think, you're just revisiting your friends
Thank you for your kind sympathy message, everyone has been so kind. We will finally be able to register the death tomorrow, as the coroner eventually sent the necessary details over. I will be back at work Monday, not looking forward to it but needs must. I know everyone will be brilliant but I don't do sympathy very well, am an emotional wreck at the best of times so will be a mess until everyone stops being nice.
Wish me luckIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

I tend to go for the treat size multipacks you can buy. Treatsize crunchies are 4 syns as are the treatsize cadbury caramel. Treat size buttons are also 4 syns. It gives me a chocolate fix but without too much syn damage and the buttons in particular, you can savour...
Thanks, that's really helpful.
Though I do worry about my ability to have just one of those.0 -
I dare not have them in the house - bit like pringles - once you pop you just cannot stop!
I really empathise with that magnolia. I'm not really a 'sweet' person (take that how you wish:rotfl:) but we've had some gorgeous Lindt chocolate in the house the last couple of weeks and I've been trying to enjoy just a couple of squares a day with a cup of tea. It's fantastic but it keeps calling me and it just won't shut up!:(
Kelk, something weird happened when I tried to quote your post. Two things: are you saving syns for the weekend or something? cos it doesn't help weightloss to go without completely.
What's the recipe for the 'Heinz' soup? No HM soup left in freezer and I need a new recipe.
Today's been a bit of a disaster: started with a SW breakfast but been out to lunch and downhill ever since. Tomorrow out for 'posh' afternoon tea so not even going to try. Back Sunday!0 -
I have been keeping track of my syns this week in a little notebook. Post work, Friday evening syns amounted to 27.5  (treat size crunchie at work = 4 syns, mexican veg pot for lunch (friday treat) 6.5 syns, malibu 50ml = 5 syns (measured for once !!!) sweet chilli sauce - 1 tablespoon 1.5 syns, treatsize buttons (friday evening treat - 4 syns plus 187ml bottle of wine - say 6.5 syns)
Wednesday syns = 6.25 and Thursday syns amounted to 8!
Hidden syns of polos.....
Daft as it sounds, I am proud that I am keeping proper track for once.
Not completely sure on menu plan for today. Have had a hi fi for breakfast which is my HEB option and have home delivery shop coming later. May have jackets for lunch and sw chips for tea or may have sw chips for lunch with lamb shank for tea (and treat it as a mix to match day).
back later to let you know how I am getting on :j0 -

HI Maman
yes ido try and save syns for the weekend but i do have some each day for things like ketchup, gravy, ww sausages all low syn things really averaging about 5 or so syns a day i usually end up having about 60-70 syns per week my consultant told me i could do that and i find it works for me as i then have something to look forward to at the weekends
the heinz soup recipe is good and dead easy to make no cooking just put everything in a blender and whizz it all up! The magic ingredient is the pickled onion i didnt have the big PO's so i used about 6 small silverskin ones and it was fine! I think It actually tastes better than the heinz one!
Superspeed tomato soup
Superspeed tomato soup

1/2 pint water

I can relate to you trying to have control over something in your life at this really difficult time for you, but honestly, I'm sure you have enough on your plate (excuse the pun) without worrying about your weight. Take it as it comes at the moment and concentrate on looking after yourself. Having said all that really well done on maintaining I'm guessing any good news is welcome at the moment.XXWhen Life Throws You Lemons Make Lemonade0 -
Further to my earlier post, the menu for today has got a bit confused...
I had a Hi fi bar for breakfast (nom nom) with two cups of tea.
Snack was 2 squares of gala$y orange cookie crumble chocolate (nom nom nom nom nom !!!) but expensive syn wise - 26 calories per square so I am allowing 1.75 syns per square so (3.5)
Then it was an early lunch of Batchelor$ Pasta n sauce (chicken and mushroom flavour). I think this is syn free ??? but even if there are syns, I'm not counting any because I only had a few mouthfuls before binning it (didn't like it!!)
So couldn't make up my mind between sw chips or jackets for lunch so opted for jackets as quicker than faffing with sw chips. Served two jackets with unmeasured ham (now treating as second HEB) and 24g cheese (my HEA). This leaves my other HEA for my milk.
I have a sw curry on the hob but have decided to cook this and stick in the freezer to avoid hidden syns in cheese and ham as had no superfree today whatsoever so cannot treat today as extra easy. In any event its far to cold for salad !!0 -

Weirdly, if things are packaged separately I have a lot more control than if it's an open bag of sweets. Must be a psychological thing!
I had a bit of a test today. Trip to kfc with some friends and their kids, but all I had was a diet coke! I LOVE kfc so it was a bit of a breakthrough for me, felt very smug
I defrosted what I thought was some casserole beef for a slow cooker stew this morning, but it turned out to be aberdeen angus steakso I turned the stew into a veg soup which I had for lunch, and it's steak, egg and chips for dinner
