  • Hello Zippy, I'll leave Maman to respond with her recipe but I just bash up the potato and cabbage/broccoli or whatever, sometimes some onion too, spray the george forman grill with oil and pat the bubble & squeak out to fit the grill, mmmmmmmm

As for it EVER being too hot for Dizzy to eat :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
  • I resent that my pea and ham soup for dinner isn't superfree! Now I've got to have more flipping fruit  I love peas so much, it bugs me that they don't 'count' :rotfl:

No syns yet today. 'darling' husband ordered in a pizza  but I haven't touched it. Mainly because it has peppers in, but still.... Still on a 100% week so far :)

Weigh in number 17, and despite being mega good, loads of body magic, and being on Xenical....i just lost 1lb....tho i did my lovely purple 3 stone award! So i am chuffed to bits about that! :D
its just a wee bit fustrating, when u have been soooooo good  and just loose one pound......and you hear others saying how bad they were....eating nuts, crisps, apple tarts etc over halloween..and then loose 2lb / 3lb....i know everyones body is different...but if i worked so hard to loose 1lb....imagine what i would put on if i had a bad day....or a weekend on the town..

Piglet, maybe last week's loss is catching up with you IYSWIM? That works out at nearly 4 stone a year so not to be sniffed at! Well done :j
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

    Hi Ladies

I'm hoping to join a Slimming World class tomorrow, so hopefully you won't mind me coming on here for help and advice ?

Does anyone know if there are any joining offers / vouchers available at the minute ?

    xxx

There was any offer in Bella, not sure exactly what it was but on the cover it said save £37.50 (not sure how that is possible, doesn't cost THAT much to join)

Hi Lynne how much pudding rice + diet cream soda do you use and do you cook it in the oven or on the hob? I love rice pudding one of my fave pudds yum

Sorry for the late reply, I haven't been online much.

I made my American soda rice pudding just in a pot. Used 1.5 litres of soda and about a 1/3rd of a 500g packet of rice, but to be honest there was enough for an army and it was a bit thick. I ended up with 5 -6 VERY generous portions . Its nice on its own but also good if you add a muller - makes a a lovely free breakfast (toffee muller + banana was the nicest but also made orange and apple with a mandarin muller).

When I make it again I'll probably try about 150 g of rice and a litre of soda. Put both in a pan and boil until cooked. Add more soda if necessary.

Someone in my class did it in a slow cooker and another did it in the oven and added a beaten egg to the top when it was nearly cooked to give it that crispy top taste.

TIE, sorry to hear about your dad.

Piglet, I always think that when you have a biggish lossyour body takes time to adjust - almost like it's catching up with itself and settling down, before it can lose a bit more. Also sometimes with my big losses they are slightly 'false' - perhaps I drank lots of booze the night before and am a bit dehydrated, and ate early that evening, so it's been ages without food, etc etc... so on top of a moderate loss I get a little bit more too. Then that 'false' loss takes a bit longer to 'really' lose the following week, but meanwhile you get on the scales and think, argh, I've hardly lost anything.

Does that make any sense? :)

yeah...that does make sense. thanks...its just when u have been MEGA good....its a wee bit fustrating...aint it...to just loose 1lb...also i have been taking Xenical for the past 2 months or so. i hadnt gone over 10 syns this week, never mind 15. tho anytime i cut back on the syns, it doesnt really boost my losses. :(
i think i need to up the superspeeds a wee bit too. but i wont give up, i have dropped 3 dress sizes in 4 months and lost 42lbs, so i am please with that. even if it slows down to 1lb a week, i can live with that ok :D
    i could easily loose another 3 stone, but i might be happy with 2 / 2.5, :o

its still that far away i cant set a final target weight, but i might after i get the next stone off.:o

at the mo.....im gonna take it half stone award at a time....so i am hoping for my 3.5 award for xmas...so thats 7lbs, in the next 6 weigh ins. so fingers crossed. ;)

Yes my mum does. She will lose nothing then 3lb the next week, then nothing then 2/3lb again. She's been doing it for weeks now and swears she's doing nothing different each week.
