  • So sorry for your news, TIE :( You must try and eat to keep your strength up, forget about SW for now x

Weekend has been fine so far. Resisted my usual Saturday night [STRIKE]binge[/STRIKE] treats last night, and done some exercise this morning ( I must be ill!). * week this week tho, so may not lose as well as I'm hoping. Have been feeling really positive since WI tho, so I'm happy :)

Morning all (although it's nearly afternoon).

    Today's planned menu:

B: NAS squash, scrambled egg, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: Marmite and cucumber sandwich, bowl of berries with Total
D: roast lamb, SW roasties and parsnips, cabbage, cauli, carrots, gravy
Syns: weekend wine:j gravy, stuffing and some fat!

I love lamb and today we're having my favourite shoulder joint which I've avoided for a year as it's a more fatty cut. Plus it will be stuffed so that's a couple more syns. I'll do loads of veg so I can have bubble & squeak for lunch in the week.

Back on the tank tomorrow, even if no-one's driving!!!:)

  • Hi Everyone. Since stopping Slimming World the weight has crept back on so I'm back...(I WILL get this stone off again).

I need to get my head around it all again, but I am sure I will find it wasy again once I get into the swing of it. In the meantime, can anyone help me out with a syn value for Soupery Tomato soup? It's really nice and very low calorie, so am hoping it will be okay for lunch this week.

    Per 100g:
    cals: 18
    protein: 0.4
carbs: 2.6 (of which sugar: 0.7)
fat: 0.5 (of which sats: 0.23)
    Fibre: 0.9
    Sodium: 0.239g

    Thank you in advance. Sarah

Right. After a very dodgy weekend which seems not to have imapcted on the scales (yet!) I am tackling the diet with renewed vigour. Yes, it's Monday morning syndrome but I need to inspire my husband, who needs to lose weight but totally lacks will at the moment. I've lost count of the times he's started and given up various diets. The stupid thing is when he actually sticks to it he's really really good at it. He needs to fo rhis health - he's always getting colds and chest infections and just generally seems under the weather and unfit all the time. We had a long chat about this diet at the weekend - he was supposed to start it with me three weeks ago but has of course found all sorts of excuses. He thinks it won't work because he can't get his head aroudn the unlimited free food idea. What can you do! I've tried showing him success stories nad even pointed out our friend, who has lost three stone to get to goal and looks great. But no. He doesn't have to do anything apart from eat the right food - I do all the cooking and food planning, he takes all the right food to work adn then stuffs it up in the evening drinking wine or beer and snacking on carbs. It's so silly.

So I reckon losing this last 10lb will show him it can be done. Just need to knuckle down myself, but started off well making a huge pan of speedsoup last night - which he really likes, so fingers crossed.

Thank you Blackberry, can't believe how s**t my life is at the moment :(

Anyway just like to say thanks to everyone and well done on the losses.

Would also like to say what a wonderful man I've got, not only has he been my rock recently but he also made me a vat of sw friendly butternut squash & sweet potato soup to see me through the last few days. Its similar to the recipe on the link but with added mushrooms and herbs/spices from the cupboard. He's making more this afternoon too as have another squash to use up. Don't know what I'd do without him :A My son has been wonderful too, not had so many hugs since he was a toddler :rotfl:
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

It's 1 syn for 100g on all plans Sarah, so it depends on the portion size.

I was just thinking about dizzy, and the weather is sunny and 27 degrees in Cuba. Maybe it's too hot to eat:rotfl:

    My EE plan for today:
B: NAS squash, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toat, HEA milk for teas, banana
L: HM lentil and veg soup
D: JP with chilli and pickled beetroot
    Syns: none!
Snacks: We're having a light, early supper so I'll probably be starving later. I'll have toast & Marmite to finish my HEB

Join Slimming World before 26th November and get half price membership. That’s only £5.00 to join and £4.95 weekly – a total of just £9.95 to pay on your first night!

Found the above on the website.
