WI last night and put on 2lbs - but I'm surprised it wasn't more.
Have drawn a line under DD1's birthday celebrations - cookie, puddings and most of the cakes have been finished so it's back on plan from now on!
Sadly I now have the PMT fairies to play with!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

Well done piglet, that's a great loss! I'm hoping for similar progress myself
I've promised myself I'm going to stick 100% to plan next week. I haven't blown it this week, but I've been neither here nor there and very unenthusiastic this week. Think I slightly got the blues because I've lost a stone and can't see any evidence of itKind of brings home how much I have to lose if I can lose a stone and not even drop a dress size properly! I will get my head back on and get going tho. I'm hoping for 2 stone in total by christmas, and I've promised myself I won't deny myself too much over the holidays if I can get there.
Have a good week everyone!"Empires are not brought down by outside forces, they are destroyed by weaknesses from within."0 -
Hello all! Having fallen off the wagon spectacularly last week and having been fannying around with the same 1.5 lbs for 10 weeks I am back on it 100% today. My jacket spud is in the oven, I have just made turkey shami kebabs from the curry book for tonight and am eating pink lady apples like they are going out of fashion!
I started in Jan at 13 st 11.5 and am now 12 st 8 and I want to be 12 for Christmas. I am going to get back on the exercise wagon and stop boozing too. I appear to have convienently forgotten my no booze Tues- Fri rule.
So- I will be loitering here for some kicks up the jacksy if I may!:DHave nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.

Hi all
I'm after some major help and inspiration please...
I lost 3 stone last year from June to December and felt really great, however, after Christmas I didn't get back into it and it's gradually crept back on again  I'm sooooooo disappointed with myself as I've now ended up with a net 7lb loss.
I joined SW online about 6 weeks ago to try to inspire myself but I just keep beating myself but I still can't get back into it.
I feel awful and can't seem to get myself motivated - I've got a big family party over New Year and have bought 2 dresses for it - they fitted fine bit would look better
with a few lbs off but what I've actually ended up doing is putting more on.
I know I can do it as I managed it before using EE so I know it works and was fairly easy to follow.
I feel really down and so upset with myself.
Sorry for the rant but I could really do with some help...... Please0 -
Hi All,
I'm new to the forum but I've been doing Slimming World on and off for about 10 years. I was a Target member but had my 3rd Daughter 21 months ago and am fighting to get back to Target. I'm a stone down and need to lose another 1stone 8 to get back to Target. Struggling at the moment so am looking for ways to get more support outside group and stumbled on you guys!!
I would really like to lose 10lb by xmas - works out at 1 to 1.5 lbs per week which should be do-able if I steer clear of the booze and stick to plan!! My problem is tiredness, with 3 children under 6 years old and a part time job I'm shattered most of the time and liable to eat biscuits and chocolate!
Food so far today;
B - 1 weetabix and a banana, milk plus use in tea
Snack - beetroot in vinegar
L - HM spicy butternut and sweet potato soup - Just posted the recipe on the SW recipes thread.
D - not sure yet - either bacon and mushroom risotto or more soup depending if H is home!
No syns yet which isn't a good thing - must have a HiFi bar or something or I'll crash and binge! Just been too busy.0 -
I logged on to SW online this morning to check the syn values for a couple of things and decided to enter details of yesterday's weigh in while I was there. (gain 1/2 pound). I always just enter my weight and leave the page but something made me look back at my progress over the last few months. It made interesting reading.
I also discovered that my starting weight was wrong - it was 7 pounds less than it should have been. Its correct now and my figures now make sense!
I mentioned last week that I would be sharing my food diary with you all and in one post I was honest about the treats/syns I had enjoyed and mentioned how easy it would have been not to mention them.
After yesterday's gain, I am only 1 1/2 pounds from my starting weightI can't carry on like this. I had no clothes to wear in the summer and now its winter, I face the same problem. None of my lovely skirts fit and I'm stuck in work trousers that have seen better days and track suit bottoms. Even some of my PJS no longer fit !!
There are seven weigh ins before :xmastree: so I pledge that I will aim to lose at least one pound every week between now and Santa Claws.
I intend to meal plan and share my menus with you on here. I am fed up of feeling how i do at the moment and I need to break this vicious circle of eating rubbish because I feel rubbish.
Losing half a stone before xmas will be the best xmas present I could wish for and I know I will achieve it ! :rudolf:0 -

hello tracey29. here is what I suggest...
First of all, we don't do guilt so stop beating yourself up and being upset. Have a read of this....
When you've eaten too much and can't write it down,
and you feel like the biggest failure in town.
When you want to give up just because you gave in.
So what, you went over your syns a bit,
its your next move that counts....SO DON'T YOU QUIT!
It's a moment of truth, it's an attitude change.
It's learning the skills to get back in your range.
It's telling yourself, "You've done great up till now,
you can take on this challenge and beat it somehow".
It's part of your journey toward reaching your goal,
your still gonna make it...just stay in control.
To stumble and fall is NOT a disgrace,
if you summon the will to get back in the race!
But, often, the strugglers, when losing their grip,
just throw in the towel and continue to slip.
And learn too late when the damage is done,
that the race wasn't over......they still could have won!!
Lifestyle change can be awkward and slow,
but facing each challenge will help you grow.
Success is failure inside out,
the silver tint in a cloud of doubt.
When you're pushing to the brink,
just refuse to submit.
If you bite it, you write it........BUT DONT YOU QUIT!!!!!!!
I don't know where this originated from but it often strikes a chord with me and author, please consider yourself duly noted :j
Anyway here are my tips
Have a look at old food diaries, particularly those where you had good weight losses.
Weigh just once a week. find an old rucksack and each time you lose weight, put the appropriate amount (in tins) into the rucksack. Each time you gain, take the appropriate weight out. When you are feeling, put the bag on your back and walk round the house with it. Remind yourself how much extra weight you were carrying round.
What food do you enjoy the most and how can you make it fit with SW. lots of recipes can be made SW friendly by leaving out silly things like sunflower oil and replacing with fry light.
Each time you lose weight, reward yourself financially by saving for a snazzy top/dress/some new underwear.
Don't let one bad meal ruin the whole week. There are 21 meals in a week. One meal out or one bad tea isn't going to spoil the whole week.
Enjoy your syns. minimum I suggest of 5 a day.
PLENTY of variety. Plenty of food from the orange pages.
Play Superfree bingo. Type up all the superfree veg and fruit items found on the orange pages of your book and see how quickly you can cross them all off !0
