1st thing is you don't need to be hungry, there are LOADS of things you can be eating. You are allowed to eat between meals so do so. Use your syns, eat plenty of fruit/veg. Don't forget on EE you MUST have 1/3 of superfree as part of your meal so breakfast needed fruit or something.
Also you have got your HEs the wrong way round, milk is HEA & weetabix is the B. Am amazed you managed to use all you milk allowance in one go though. Your weetabix must have been floating :rotfl:. That is the thing with EE, less HEs and like you've found all gone for breakfast. There are other options and I'm sure someone will come along with suggestions [I only eat weetabix]. Do you like yogurts? Plenty of free ones out there, eat on their own or with fruit for your superfrees. to stop you getting hungry and if its possible eat little and often, graze all day if you want but on free or superfree foods.
Keep asking questions and post your diary on here. Very helpful and motivating people in here, they are :A.
Hope that helps a bit.
Thankyou Takeiteasy, I used all the milk (im used to drinking 4 pints of milk a day eek, so i used half on the weetabix and drunk the other half. Im trying to substitue milk for water instead. Its very hard when ive always just drunk milk throughout my day since been a child!
I have my book infront of me and on the 2 'superfree foods' believe it or not i only eat 12 of them. (i honestly didnt think i was that fussy eater till i went through the book last night highlighting what i eat)
I could have some banana on my weetabix tomorrow, so thats something.
I have just eaten nearly half a cucumber as a 'snack' better than a chocolate bar!
Things like apples and pears, i can eat them but have to cut them up (as i have fixed braces at the minute) so can be a bit messy especially at my desk at work (they all think im crackers!)
What got me down was normally for breakfast id have a special K bar, then yesterday found out they are 4 syns! eek so ive binned them. (ive been thinking for months they were a good breakfast!)
for tea last night a 1/3 of my plate was peas! and then i had 2 poached eggs and a potato waffle to go with them.
I have a lot to learn !!0 -

Get them out of the bin NOW! For a start, syns are there to be used, so use them! I would also have thought there was no real reason they couldn't be substituted as a Healthy Extra B (no doubt someone will come along to say why not) - e.g. Weetabix Oatybix Bar has 4 syns but is listed as a Healthy Extra?
If you do want to have cereal for breakfast could you have it with fat free yogurt instead of milk? Use greek style if you find normal too sharp. It is much more filling and is free - so you still have your milk to drink with it, or at another time. And you can have 42g of All Bran or Crunchy Bran both of which go nicely with it.
I'm assuming you have semi-skimmed milk - could you switch to skimmed or maybe mix the 2? If you can find the 1% milk you can have 300ml, or 350 of skimmed.
If you want to save the syns then make your own salad dressing with fat free yogurt or fromage frais and lemon juice, herbs, spices, pepper etc. Loads of variety and all free.
What about soup? There are tons of free soups you could make which are filling and a good way to hide veg if you're fussy. Let us know what you like & we'll see what we can come up with.
You really should not be hungry - I am v greedyand I eat a lot
:o and have lost over 3 stone to get to target :T.
Good luck - it is confusing at first but it will click soonA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Also Hollypop I've just started and I find that a few recipes in the magazine are really useful to get under your belt. I can heartily recommend the prawn risotto in the November issue free booklet. Really yummy.
Also make up batches of things like free bolognaise sauce and freeze, then you're never stuck for dinner, just have it with spaghetti and a big salad.0 -
Here is my menu for today :j
GREEN DAY
Breakfast
Hi fi bar (6 syns/HEB - see note below)
few grapes
mid morning snack
two peppers sliced up
Lunch:
Innocent Veg pot Mexican Chilli
6.5 syns
2 slices of HEB friendly bread (HEB)
28g cheddar (HEA)
Tea is SW chips, eggs and possilby ham (HEB). I have already had my two HEB options for today (Hi fi bar at breakfast and bread at lunch) but I very cleverly picked up ham today that needs to be used by Friday 28th
I'm thinking of synning the hi fi bar and having 85g ham instead
Syns for today will therefore be 12.5 which is higher than I would like but hopefully the syn values will even out.
Honeypop - I will answer your post later when I have more time (this evening I hope). Can I ask - do you mostly like pasta/rice/potatoes or are you a steak/chicken/pork kind of person??0 -
Thank you all for your hints and tips, its making me feel a bit better already about doing this.
I dont eat much fruit at all, which isnt helping!!
I went through my book and highlighted all the things i like so that it makes it easier when looking through the book at what i could eat that day.
Here is the list:
Super Free Food Likes:
Apples, Bananas, Pears
Veg:
Carrot, Celery, Chillies, Cucumber, Garlic, Green Beans, Onions, Peppers, Watercress
Green Free Foods:
Corn on the cob, Peas - (Marrowfat, processed, petits pois), Sweetcorn, Pasta, Rice, Eggs
Red Free Foods:
Bacon, Beef, Ham, Lamb, Pork, Chicken, Turkey, Cod, Haddock, Tuna, Scampi
Healthy Extras:
Love Milk - Semi Skimmed
Cereal Bars, Rivita, Weetabix, Cheese Triangles
I have just been through and printed off some of the menus from the website, tonight i am going to try the chicken tikka curry. (not from a jar!)
So by the end of tea tonight i should have had just 1 syn today so i will be able to have a little treat of a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Tomorrow night I am going to try the 3 colour carbonara Pasta for tea.
Question:
Am i right in thinking that on the 'extra easy' i can have anything off the lists or is it 1 thing off those lists per meal or per day and anything else i put with it is syns?
so i can mix pasta, potatoes, rice, chicken or not?
thankyou all once again x0 -

Good luck - I've lost over 3 stone & it's been relatively painless!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Hello all
I have just subscribed to the thread - I am a real on again off again SWer - very much off at the moment. My SIL has given me a big kick today and we are going back to class to join again today - but I must stick to it this time

Any advice to keep me on track - I know it works - I just struggle with wine, cakes, chocolate etc - you name itBack to comping! July wins: Frylight August wins: Pixar DVD, Diesel Watch,£75 hamper brioche products September wins bath soak

Not quite... You can have anything off the free and super free lists, and as much as you like. So you can mix pasta, rice, chicken, potatoes etc. BUT 1/3 of everything you eat must be from the super free lists (either fruit or veg) and then your syns come from anything that isn't free or super free or in your healthy extra allowance.
It's mega important to make sure you have your syns x"Empires are not brought down by outside forces, they are destroyed by weaknesses from within."0 -

when you go to class on Monday, ask your consultant to explain the Red and Green plans to you. Its not set in stone that you need to follow the extra easy plan - follow the plan that best works for you. A red day means you base your meals around meat/fish. Green days mean you base your meals around potatoes/pasta etc Have a look at the red and green pages of your book.
I suspect Red and Green days might work better for you because you are allowed two Healthy A options (dairy) and two Healthy B Options (Fibre).
So as you are a milk fiend, with two A options, you could have 500ml of semi skimmedeach day.
With two Healthy B options, you would for example be able to have some weetabix for breakfast for one of your HEB options then you could have a sandwich (check out page 24 for your bread choices)
You have mentioned that you are not a big fan of fruit and you have only listed a few vegetables that you like. With Extra Easy, 1/3 of your plate must be superfree. This means the foods that are on the orange pages of your book. With a green or red day, although its recommended that you include plenty of superfree/(1/3 of your plate), I don't think its a must.
pick up the magazine at class on Monday and also see if your consultant has the 100 Extra Easy days book. This is a fab book because not only does it offer recipes but it suggests menu ideas and themed meals. Have a look on the slimming world website too - there are weekly planners you can follow/get ideas from and so much useful interesting and informative/supportive items.
gallygirl for something to be classed as a Healthy Extra B Option, it has to have a certain amount of fibre content. I don't know the criteria for this but I recall reading (I think on here) that if you only have part of a Healthy Extra then you need to syn what you have had and can't treat it as your HEB (for example if I was to have a measured amount weetabix oatiflakes but not the scan bran then I would need to syn the oatiflakes) because I haven't had what it says I should be having and I haven't had enough fibre content? Confused ?! I am !!!0
