  • Oh TakeitEasy I am SO sorry - what a cowardly way to let hubby know. I know there's no nice way but to let him do a days work and then tell him is very mean. I hope that something comes up very quickly for him. Keep your chin up! x

Sorry to hear about that redundancy. How horrible, you must be really worried. My induistry is very dodgy too (newspapers) so I'm always looking over my shoulder. Here they bring the security guards over to the desk and march you out - you get no time alone in case you mess up the computers/paper.

Anyway, I thought I'd write down today's food just to see how it's looking. No idea what's for dinner yet though. EE:

B: two weetabix nad miilk (HEA and B)
    Snack: apple
Lunch: leftover risotto (veg and chicken), muller light
snack: fruit salad, Count on Us chocolate mousse (4 syns).
Dinner: possibly something with potatoes as we have MANY in the cupboard at the moment...

Bummer, big hugs for you and him. What work does he do, is it something relatively easy to find something else in (terrible English sorry)?

There is no easy way to be told of redundancy. I got told at the beginning of the day and then had to sit there all day at work keeping it "confidential". Whichever way, it sucks. Hope he finds something soon.
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?
  • Bad news takeiteasy, hope he finds something else soon.

I'm immensely happy tonight - made a syn free baked egg custard (minus the pastry unfortunately!) and it was gorrrrrrrrrrrrrrgeous :D It's really nice finding things that I really love the taste of that are free.
I also resisted chocs coming at me from all directions at work today!

Off out for a meal tomorrow night after work, pre-selected menu. Gone for a very healthy main but obviously the choc pudding :D

    Today:

    B coconut M/L, banana
    L ham salad,satsuma
D syn free carbonara with ham and hea cheese

snacks:baked custard :D, fibre plus hea, meringue nest (3) and pineapple. Will also have some velvet crunch to up my syns a bit too (4)

Thanks all, am still in shock as was last thing I expected when he walked through the door. He got a weeks notice as he's not been there that long. Some may remember he was out of work over a year b4 this job so I'm not holding my breath. He was a Hire Controller ( sounds like Thomas Tank Engine) usually works in IT though. Not going to be easy.
Really feel for my boy though as this morning we booked his 1st driving lesson ( probably be his last for a while now :( ). we are all guttered.:(
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
