Thanks WBB - how fascinating you have a friend who went to the Chinese woman. I'd be really interested to know how long she was with her - could you PM me?

I weighed again half an hour after I put in my stats and it was actually 2lb off. THink my scales are playing up - they got wet the other day and have been a bit odd since. Anyway I can't change it on the site so I'll just hopefully have a better loss next week. I'm not disheartened, it's good to be back in control.
  • Thanks Maman,

That makes alot of sense. I think SW might work for me then, it was the whole breakfast thing that was confusing me. It doesn't take alot lol.

Not the best start to the week - lunch at the pub yesterday and munched through a graZe box this morning (that probably has a week's syns or more in just one box?!) Anyhow, I am pleased to report that I have cancelled my graze box for good now and deleted my card payment details so there should be no more temptation.

I have also just bought the new SW mag so I am looking forward to reading that this evening. The mag looks fab and I can't wait to read it.

I have been meal planning and although the next few days are going to be difficult because there is lots of social stuff planned/on the cards, I am hoping that when I am in control of my menus that I will make sensible choices.

I don't want any more gains! I am only two pounds from where I was when I started my Slimming World journey and I want to turn things around before they get out of control........

Puree some fruit and add to natural yog? I've never understood why there isn't a natural range of yogurts that is just that, anyway. They dont need sugar or sweetener if you put enough fruit in.

Technically puree fruit is synned so your yoghurt wouldn't be free :o
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

    Hi Sarah,
To be honest I don't know how long she was with her, we only heard about it after she had the baby as she was quite secretive about the IVF and getting pregnant process (understandably, as she didn't want to build up hopes and then tell us she'd miscarried again).
My guess is that it wasn't long though, couldn't have been longer than 4 months because that's roughly how long after her 2nd failed attempt she got pregnant. Sorry, not much help I know:o

  • !!!!!!, just lost a big multiquoting reply :mad::mad:

Oh well. Congratulations mrs m! Can I ask how long it took you to lose 11 stone? Incredible achievement :T

Had my weigh in, and despite my two snickers incident and four meals out, I lost two lbs  more than happy with that! If I do 2.5 next week I.ll have lost a stone in four weeks which I would be over the moon at.

I'm also loving the coconut mullerlights! Have one in the freezer now :)

    B coconut ml, huge satsuma
L half a jacket spud (wasn't nice!), lots of salad
D on roll with heb :D

Curly wurly for syns, 6 and maybe a meringue nest and some fruit (2.5)

Am reading this thread and trying to get myself in the mood to start SW again.

However, the word muller light keeps popping up and it is seriously depressing me. It just SO says SW to me and I can't stand the things. I love yoghourt, fromage frais, creme freche etc I just think Muller light are the most awful slippery, slimey, artificially sweet things ever put into a pot. :(

    Anybody suggest an alternative please?

Hello Penny, I've not read the posts following yours so I'm sure this has already been said but you can use any fat free yoghurt, if you want yoghurt at all. It's not a rule (I think there may be a bit of sponsorship from Mullers that's all). Personally, it's the quark/fromage frais thing that I don't like. It took months of failed experiments for me to realise I never liked cream cheese or fromage frais anyway and rarely actually used fresh cream in anything for years so I've given up buying anything white and dairy except my skimmed milk, and a carton of that lasts me over a week. Don't feel you have to eat anything. I personally think, once you understand the SW basics (no cooking in oil, at least one third of vegetables and fruit, cut right back on flour-based foods) you can use your own favourite recipes slightly tweaked. With no added Muller Lights :D
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

You could always have tomatoes and mushrooms cooked with some bacon and an egg, or put into a HEB slice for a sandwich for breakfast.

I've heard that home scales are invariably unreliable, so perhaps weigh yourself 2 or 3 times over a five minute period and take the average? Make sure you put the scales on exactly the same spot on the floor, too. Some people go into Boots and weigh there. Anyway as long as it's down that's all that really matters!

Really? But 100g of raspberries is exactly the same whether you eat them one by one or blitz them in a blender. Is it pre-made purees that are synned?

I think the theory is that whilst fruit is free, you could eat a lot more if it was pureed or liquidised, hence it is synned. Same with cooking apples etc.
