It's really is nice as has lots of oomph -not all airy fairy :T

    Hi Nessie -
Yep once I have settled back in good old blighty I will be about more (now there is a threat :rotfl:), we come over on Monday -then hubby has to go to Scotland on Saturday for a 3 week digger course as part of his re-settlement and then he will be back with me for a couple of days before coming back to Germany for another couple of weeks so he can get the removals and march out done. Im going to stay with my mum and decorate our house and then see how things are and I may or may not come back with hubby for the last 2 weeks -depending how I feel and if I have any appointments,,,,
SO who knows hopefully by the middle of December I will be done n dusted and have some time n energy back :p
Im just waiting to find out how far along I am and for the 1st scan to make sure we are ok and then I will have to contact the trek organisers and explain :o -luckily they still have about 11 months to refill my place.

whilst Im here, I may as well post my foody for today....
So then today should look like this (red day):-
    banana
    apple

    activia (2.5)

    3 slices hovis wholemeal granary (2xB + 5.5)
    spread (1)
    salad cream (1)
    lettuce
    cucumber
    tomato
    beetroot
    onion
    red/yellow pepper
    celery

    2 clementines
    2 plums

    roast chicken
    lettuce
    cucumber
    tomato
    celery
    cucmber
    beetroot
    onions
    peppers

    activia (2.5)
    500ml semi
    (2xA)

So thats 2A+Bs and 12.5 syns...taking this week to 45 syns so leaving me 60 syns to cover thurs/fri/sat that means if I carry on working like this I can keep on having my beloved salad on wholemeal granary.

Right off I go to get a bit more done.... I WILL be done soon ;)

    Evening :p

So I weighed in today - lost 1/2lb, not very happy :( yes I know it is a loss but things are happening soooo slowly.

So its back to basics to see where I can improve, and being positive about it too :D Filling in a food diary so if I dont lose next week my consultant can take a look and tell me whats up!

She was saying today that if you make your first drink of the day a cold one, ie before any tea/coffee or food, that it can help to kick start your metabolism by waking it up with the cold instead of letting your body snuggle in with the warm drink that so many of us drink first thing.... does anyone do this and does it work?? I WILL be doing this from tomorrow and will keep you informed ;)

Quick meal plan for here if anyone wants to take a look

    EE day

Breakfast - vanilla/choc sprinkle muller light, banana
Lunch - chicken mugshot, 2 satsumas, HiFi bar (HEB)
Dinner - Chilli made with colmans packet mix (2.5 Syns, used 1/3), x-lean beef mince, kidney beans, tinned toms, onions; with boiled rice, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, 28g cheese (HEA)
Snacks - 2 x Boaster bikkies (9 syns), skimmed milk in 4 cups of tea (2 syns)

    Total 13.5 syns, 1 x HEA, 1 x HEB
  • Hi everyone. Newbie signing in :) I have been doing SW since Jan and have lost a stone and a half. I have fannyed around losing and putting on the same 1.5lbs since July *oops* BUT managed a size 12 dress for a friends wedding earlier this month (I was a size 18 when I started SW). I am trying to be really good this week after gaining 1/2 a lb at weigh in but I have two kids off sick so have been a bit picky oops! I may post my food diary here if im allowed and hopefully that will keep me on the straight and narrow.

    Hi all,

Thanks for the snack suggestions... will have to think and prepare some. forgot about clemantines too. I'm thinking of giving myself a small weekly M&S fruit budget as I'm sure that will keep me on track.

Was ill over the weekend so hardly ate anything. Mostly what I ate today were digestives dipped in tea!!
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

I haven't heard that but it won't do any harm to try, eh? I'll join you. I'll stand a glass by the coffee pot NOW then I shall remember in the morning :D

Cycling yorkie, I hope you are keeping records of your measurements, it does make a difference to look at them when the weight hasn't moved much I find!

I managed to STS at weigh in today even though I weigh 2.5 lb more than when I was last weighed 3 weeks ago. Remember last week the scales broke so I couldn't be weighed? I think they looked at me and guessed and put it in ;););) Either way, I need to galvanise myself though as usual I am constipated (sorry) and bloated on WI day, it always happens, plus I am on pain killers cos I put my back out and I don't think they help. Ok there was a cadbury caramel bar during the day too, but honestly I weighed it against an apple and it was much less :rotfl:

I went to tell someone at work Mrs M's good news today, then realised it would sound a bit odd as I've never met Mrs M .... so I just had a happy little smile to myself but didn't bother telling anyone. I think you've been an online member Mrs M? I don't they do Slimmer of the Year online do they? I still think it's worth you contacting S.World (maybe once you are sure it's all going to plan) because your story would surely galvanise other ladies who are trying to get pregnant and may be a tad chubby?
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

It's lovely to hear your story Mrs M. I'm trying for a baby too - I have one DS but a second has eluded us - I've had four miscarriages. Lost four stone but sadly still hasn't worked for us - yet. I'm currently going to a Chinese medecine woman who has incredible stats with difficult cases - mostly post-IVF couples (she's Harley Street trained so has the best of both worlds) and trying to lose a bit more weight to give myself the best possible chance. Have had all the tests and there's nothing conclusive. Just hope I can be as lucky as you in the end!

Am reading this thread and trying to get myself in the mood to start SW again.

However, the word muller light keeps popping up and it is seriously depressing me. It just SO says SW to me and I can't stand the things. I love yoghourt, fromage frais, creme freche etc I just think Muller light are the most awful slippery, slimey, artificially sweet things ever put into a pot. :(

    Anybody suggest an alternative please?

Hi, I used to eat loads of Muller lights but, like you I just became sick of them. I now have Activia fat free (they are on offer at the moment in Tesco 12 for £1.99 (my fridge is full to bursting)

I hope you decide to start SW again, it really does work. x
