Thanks for the recipe dizzy, and do report back after the quark experiment. It's a lovely day 'darn sarf', dry sunny and reasonably warm too although we had heating on last night.

Well done yorkie on the new coat, both the size and the bargain! When I get a moment I have some serious buying to do. Fortunately I did keep some expensive clothes (like coats) from when I was this size before but I'm desperate for 'business' trousers. The one pair I had left at the end of last winter/spring are now unwearable as they're so baggy. Great isn't it!:D

    My EE menu:

B: NAS squash, fried egg, tomatoes, mushrooms, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: Marmite, tomato & cucmber sandwich, red berres with Total
D: roast beef, roast potatoes and parsnips, cauliflower, cabbage, carrots
Syns: weekend wine, small yorkie (sorry dizzie:o), tsp horseradish, gravy

I was 2.5lbs below target at WI so I'm having a few extra syns this week. Back on the wagon completely tomorrow and Wednesday and a meal out Tuesday so hopefully I'll be ok.

I am going back to s/w once again on Tuesday, have always done the red days and has worked for me
But I know that there is the extra easy plan and I know how it works but I am really sceptical about it
Any body out there that has done it?

:rotfl::rotfl: Ha ha well that didn't take you long to try the recipe ;)

on the recipe thread I put a very similar one for a 'fruit roulade' ages ago. It has 1/2 syn for the whole cake (because you use 1 tspn of baking powder) but the rest of the ingredients are basically the same except you use quark aswell to make it a 'cakey' texture IT IS LOVELY!!!!!.....actually thinking about it adding a bit of quark to the pancake recipe it might make them more subtantial & kind of 'american pancake style?' mmmmm I'l test that this week and report back ;)

oooh I'm going to have a look for the recipe thread now!

I've just been for a two hour walk, bit tired now, pushing toddler in the pushchair and had baby strapped to me in the baby carrier, and it was quite warm. Definitely feel good for doing it though, even if I didn't walk at a super speedy pace, I did try and keep at a reasonable pace and did overtake people on the pavement!

Also resisted all the cakes and chocolate biscuits in 99p shop - I did get some rich teas for when I really really need a biscuit so that I can have one and not feel too bad, and I can only eat so many of those (not like chocolate biscuits . . . :rotfl: )

Excuse us silverpurse, some people on here relly know how to lower the tone!

To your question about Extra Easy; These days it's what will be explained to you at your first meeting because it's just that (Extra Easy). I do it all the time but I've never done anything else. Red and Green days are still in the books so you can do that if you want. I know some people feel uncomfortable about eating lots of carbs.

If you read post 1 on this thread it's explained very well. The only drawback that I'm aware of is that you only have 1 HEA & B on EE whereas you have more on Red and Green. Whatever you decide, good luck!

I've lost over 3 stone on EE :j. Don't know why I chose it, except I like carbs and I like meat ;). I love being able to eat a lot of rice, potatoes etc.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

whos been lowering the tone around here ? Disgusting tut tut :rotfl::rotfl:

On the subject of EE Silverpurse (welcome to the thread by the way :D) when I did SW the 1st time around I only knew RED & GREEN but this time they brought in EE.....and it really is EXTRA EASY as everyone will tell you ;)
I still do some odd red days each week (especially in summer when I wasn't so bothered about a lot of carby things, but wanted the 2 HEBs) but for most of my 'journey' I have done EE and the weight losses have been good on both plans for me:)

well done for resisting the fairy food in the 99p shop:A And for going for a walk in this horrible weather....pushing the pram AND carrying excess baggage too :p;) think of the bodymagic hun!! :T
  • Well done CyclingYorkie, fab feeling isn't it?!?!?!?

Silverpurse, I lost all my weight (nearly 3 st) on EE; a few years ago I tried Slimming World when it was reds and greens and I really couldnt get my head around it, call me thick, it was just too faffy for words. I don't really eat many carbs (ie one sweet potato is going to cover 3 meals for me this week!) but just being able to put all the free stuff together makes it soooo simple.

Back to the yoghurt - I made a dish of hummus today and the only plain yog I had was a couple of tablespoons in the bottom of a jar which looked and smelled fine - but the bits around the edge at the top were a bluey-green. I just ignored the coloured bits and scooped out the rest and used it and ...erm... it was really tasty and ...erm... I ate it all during the day, with raw carrots dipped in :D. I honestly think a bit of mould on dairy foods isn't going to harm anyone, after all stilton etc has it specially induced!

(before anyone asks, my personal SW hummus recipe is: 1 can chickpeas, few dollops plain yog, 1 teaspoon sesame oil (syn it), shake of Aromat, black pepper, 3 big roughly chopped garlic cloves, sprinkling of chilli flakes if you wish. Blend, using the liquid from the chickpeas to get it to the right consistency. Lick out blender.) this may be already on the recipe thread.
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
