do 'em in your microwave, I do. lots of free vegetables (baby sweetcorn, mange touts, garlic, spring onion, perhaps some shredded cabbage, prawns if you like, julienne courgettes, sliced peppers) toss about with a little soy sauce and some chilli seeds and a spray of frylight, give 'em a minute or two, voila! Stir a little oyster sauce in for a treat. I do find soy can spit a bit in the micro so might be worth covering the dish to cook.

If you are doing noodles with it you'll need to cook them first as microwave stir fry is very quick.

Fab - Thank you ! hadn't thought of that ! Will definitely give that a go. :j

so had first class at new time tonight and actually eating before meant that I wasn't sat there during image therapy with my tummy rumbling and wondering what rubbish I could eat when I got home.... and since arriving home, all I have had is a treat size bag of buttons (4 syns).

Thinking of trying a week of extra easy but need to get myself organised for that as I'm a red/green girl at heart. Want to meal plan as best i can for the week anyway. Too tired to meal plan now so will take myself off to bed soon and dream of all the free food I am going to have over the next week. :rotfl:

I've had a bit of a flexi day today due to meal out at lunchtime.

EE menu (well part of it)

B: NAS squash, HEB Puffed Wheat, HEA milk plus teas, banana
D: Bubble & Squeak (my current obsesion) with pickled beetroot

I won't make you drool with my lunch but let's say it did have some healthy veg but also loads of naughty things washed down with wine:o

Back firmly on the tank tomorrow.
  • Hope yesterday went as well as could be hoped for TIE......

Well weigh in was good - having put on in the 2 previous weeks I was determined to lose and sort out those PMT fairies...and I managed to lose 5 + 1/2 pounds! That's really only a 2lb loss but I was chuffed nonetheless!

My weight now starts with a 12!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First time in 13-14 years!

Hope everyone is having a good week food/weight wise...
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j

WI on Monday & i put on another 1.5lbs! But serves me right!

Think i am getting my mojo back - thank you Dizzy!

S - 2 rich tea fingers, packet french fries, treat size choco bar, 2 slices nimble & 200mls semi skimmed milk

That looks like plenty of food for the calories nessie. I've been deliberately cooking extra veg so I can have Bubble & Squeak. It makes me feel so virtuous that I can have loads of veg in something so substantial. It's ideal for lunch when I have my HEB at breakfast or it can leave me a couple of slices of toast as an evening snack. I read a recipe in the Asda magazine where they fried off chopped bacon & spring onion then added it to LO mash and cabbage with beaten egg. It sounded tasty. Normally I just shake in Worcestershire sauce or a bit of tabasco and a bit of dried thyme.

Well done on 5.5lbs yorkie, you'll soon need a new coat!:rotfl:

    Today's EE:

B: NAS squash, HEB porage, HEA milk plus teas, banana
L: JP with chilli and pickled beetroot
D: smoked haddock, tomatoes, mushrooms, peas and some sort of potato (not sure whether to have chips, wedges or mash yet)
    Snacks: fruit if anything
Syns: none, I'm being virtuous today before WI tomorrow. I'll be happy with a small gain as I was 2.5lbs below last week but I don't want too much!
  • Afternoon :)

Day off today, so been for a walk round the park with husband :)
Weigh in later, breakfast was omelette with cheese, lunch was a massive fruit salad with fat free natural yogurt. It's my second weigh in so I'm not looking for miracles but I do have a lot to lose so I'd love 3lbs or so!

  • hmph what a farce. Usual WI-day blockage and bloatiness for me but off I went to the next town for the opening day of a new class. The hall was packed but there were a lot of helpers ... things were going slowly but surely .... then the scales stopped working. That wouldn't have been too much of a problem normally, but by the time they got them working again 20mins later I was on a deadline as the road between my town and this one closes at 8pm for roadworks, and it was 7.55! I still hadn't been weighed but had removed all extraneous clothes/shoes etc. Well I had to just give up and come home, unweighed. BUT I had jumped on my home scales, clothed, just before I went, and it looked ok. But what a waste of petrol and an hour of my life just standing there. Will try again next week, and they'd better not charge me cos I paid (and took fruit for the basket!) and got NOTHING. Heyho, at least the new consultant is going to do well though, by the look of it.
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
