Heading for winter with Slimming World

After a fairly rubbishy week at work, today turned into 'cake day'!!! Biscotti this morning and someone was leaving so there was cake this afternoon. I had to eat some of this as the yoghurt I had in the fridge went out of date at the beginning of the week
and I was still hungry. I'd had a banana ths morning, had dribbled my very juicy pear all over the place at lunchtime and polished off a couple of clementines!!!
I need to make a new list for 2014
think of something to put on it!:rotfl:
Try harder for 2014 as I never managed it in 2012 or 20130 -

I eat out of date yoghurt all the time:o Had one today dated 27/09. I'm still alive. As long as the lid isnt bulging and there is no green furry stuff or strange whiff them i'm game! The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Hi all,
I hope you don't mind if I join you? I've just started doing SW today, having last done it over 10 years ago! I would love to lose at least 3 stone, after having 2 children. Everyone says that it should be falling off as I am always running around, but on the flipside I am tired a lot of the time and busy so tend to pick a lot and eat chocolate/biscuits and cake! Today I have been to the cheap fruit and veg stall by us and bought loads of fruit and veg, so that I can snack on that. I got cabbage, cauli, lettuce, broccoli, swede, butternut squash, aubergine, grapes, satsumas, bananas, plums, pears, grapefruit and some other bits for just under £10!
I fancy doing the EE days as there seems to be less to count, the only disadvantage being less HE, but I guess I can use my syns if I fancy some bread or some milk?
I had a quick question, I love ham, but find that getting it from the supermarkets can be expensive. If I were to get a gammon joint, cook it, and then slice it up, as long as it was lean, would this be free on an EE day?
Thanks, sorry for the long essay and questions - am looking forward to losing some weight!
Yes, gammon is free like that. i got a piece of gammon from Asda the other day and boiled it as a change, and it was gorgeous. All the best with your plans.

I'm with you on that one - if it doesn't whiff then I'll happily eat it!
Been AWOL for a couple of weeks - still reading just not posting. Had PMT for about 17 days (:mad::mad:) put on 2 weeks running:mad::mad:. * has now arrived and I suspect excess fluid has gone - hopefully will post a loss on Tuesday! Also didn't feel well last weekend - I don't seem to get colds these days - I seem to skirt round them feeling bleuch with no actual symptoms - (except falling asleep constantly!)
Anyway onward and upward - eating habits are better now - and the jeans are back to falling down all the time - very irritating..but in a good way!
Hope everybody else is doing OK!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

Home cooked ham is so much tastier too both for a 'meal' or sandwiches although I have sometimes bought scraps of ham in £shop or Iceland at about £5 per kg. You have to look carefully as some scraps are better than others. I just keep it in the fridge for picking but sometimes it does make it into a sandwich. Also, caz be sure to keep the stock from boiling your gammon. It makes the most delicious base for lentil soup which is perfect for lunches now the weather's getting colder.cyclingyorkie wrote: »- and the jeans are back to falling down all the time - very irritating..but in a good way!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Good to see you back yorkie!
MY EE plan for today:
B: NAS squash, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: some sort of sandwich, probably Marmite and cucumber, fruitSW curry, rice and SW chips
Snacks: bowl of red berries and Total as I need to keep SFs up
Syns: weekend wine, bhaji and tbsp mango chutney
Yesterday I cooked 6 sausages that had been in my freezer for ages. They were those 'free' ones (smoky chicken) that aren't any more IYKWIM. They can't be too synful even now and I've enjoyed snacking on them.0 -
Morning all [oops afternoon], WI and a loss of 1.2lb. I have gained and lost the same 1.2lb for the last 4 weeks, does that make me a yoyo dieter? :rotfl: Was a bit surprised at a loss if I'm honest as had chinese last night and chippy chips on wednesday while watching my son [STRIKE]fight[/STRIKE] play rugby. He ended the game with a black eye and a split lip but was full of himself for getting in a fight :rotfl:. Must admit it was the highlight of an otherwise onesided game. My boys team were just cannon fodder for the UEA 1st team [should have been freshers but wasn't ]. He enjoyed it though. Today should have been his first senior rugby game for Crusaders 1st team BUT hes got the flu & tonsilitis, typical!!!.
We won't mention England OK!!!!!
Get to see my Mum instead today, have a good weekend everyone x x x
By the way I'm in the camp that eats out of date yogurt, all this week mine have been out of date from September but tasted fine and I'm still here. Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

But we could talk about this!:D
The curry is a pork jalfrezi that I made from a WW (:o) recipe last week for the freezer. It's totally syn free and not watery at all. I think that's because it's made with passata instead of tinned toms.0 -
