I bought my new winter coat yeaterday - the same style and supplier as last years....
Last year I was chuffed to get into a BHS size 20...
This years is a SIZE 14!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I can fit my fleece underneath it ( well it's a snug fit but I can do the zip up!)
And best of all it was 10% off and then I used my card for an additional 5% discount!!!!!!!!:j:j:j:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Mmmm that sounds lovely, do you mind me asking how you make syn-free pancakes?
Syn free pancakes; (stolen from minimins site;))
Separate 1 egg into two bowls - white and yolk.
Whisk the white and add 3 tsp sweetner (or to taste), whisking til white and meringue-ish
Add some vanilla essence to the yolk.
Add the yolk to the white and fold together - this is your batter.
frylight a pan and add all of the batter, spreading it gently with the back of a spoon.
be gentle - this pancake is fragile! leave completely alone until you can slide a fish slice (etc) underneath, carefully turn it over to cook the second side. again, leave it alone until done, then lift it out onto your plate and add your toppings and enjoy!
good with fruit and yog (like I had) or lemon and sweetner for a more trad pancake
NO SYNS!!!:j:j:j:j

thanks for that dizzy! Ran straight to the kitchen (I'm not kidding!) and made one. Not bad at all! Nice different texture and a taste with my morning fruit"Empires are not brought down by outside forces, they are destroyed by weaknesses from within."0 -
Had a pretty bad day at work yesterday and bought some mint matchsticks and galaxy ripples and was going to give myself a flexible day. BUT I put off eating them again and again and ended up having just 8 matchmakers for 8 syns, well proud of myself!
B pancake courtesy of Dizzy, blackberries, nectarine, satsuma, fat free from frais
L
D roast done the sw way with veg
Fibre plus heb, babybel hea, might have one of my ripples for 9 syns "Empires are not brought down by outside forces, they are destroyed by weaknesses from within."0 -

:rotfl::rotfl: Ha ha well that didn't take you long to try the recipe
on the recipe thread I put a very similar one for a 'fruit roulade' ages ago. It has 1/2 syn for the whole cake (because you use 1 tspn of baking powder) but the rest of the ingredients are basically the same except you use quark aswell to make it a 'cakey' texture IT IS LOVELY!!!!!.....actually thinking about it adding a bit of quark to the pancake recipe it might make them more subtantial & kind of 'american pancake style?' mmmmm I'l test that this week and report back0
