Morning All,
Well, I am so proud of myself for sticking to my diet for the whole day yesterday - I know thats a bit pathetic but its so rare for my these days!
My next aim is to stick to plan over the weekend and continue to write my food diary - that NEVER usually happens so fingers crossed.
Good luck everyone.

Not pathetic at all, one day at a time is all it takes. Then suddenly you've done a whole week, then a month etc. It makes it manageable and less scary to me:)
Need to write my meal plan for today. Had a small wobble in sainsburys earlier - went to buy some yoghurt and they had just taken out a tray of freshly baked chocolate croissants! They smelt divine, but i resisted:TThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Morning All,
Been a long time since last post, spent most of this week catching up on posts!
Well. . . Hubby is back to work, burn is healing nicely, but still have to take him to burns unit every week which is 50+ miles away!
I am also back at Uni now, only part time on Mondays, which is also WI days, which is a rush!
The week after hubbys accident i was ill - reckon it was stress & not eating enough fruit & veg!
Last week i was on Holiday in Lincolnshire, some bad choices made, but i only put on 1.5lbs in 2 weeks - which is good for me :T
This week was the first time in about 3 weeks i had proper exercise! Went to gym on Tues & Zumba last night - i missed it so much!
So i planned to put a line under my gains - but i haven't planned this week well & have gorged on biscuits!:rotfl:
Today is planned & i can't wait for my tea - bubble & squeak! nom nom
Green day today
On way to work - 4 choc eclairs (4) Why???
B - Strawbs & ff vanilla onken
L - Pepper & onion quiche & quorn sausages (either 4 or 2 syns - but i don't know whether to count them at all? What are your views?)
D - Bubble & squeak with couple of eggs
S - 71g dried apricots (heb) Banana 5 Scan Bran (heb) Quark flavoured with lemon & sweetner, milk in coffees (hea)
To try and claw back the biscuit damage (and the choco eclairs - i don't know what i was thinking!) I will stick to my green days over the weekend & lots of veg - mostly veg - just like success express!
I am really debating whether to do fast forward next week, need to get back on track - but need to think about planning & time to eat etc.
We had a taster at WI this week (i didn't know so didn't bring anything!) with lovely fake ferraro rocher (SP?) & star biscuits - we had to make our xmas wish - mine is to lose 1st 9.5lbs in 12 weeks - to get back to my 4st - need to give myself an incentive for once i reach it - not sure though . . . maybe allow myself to go clothes shopping with £200 from my savings?
Please can someone give me back my mojo - i miss it - its been over a year since i have spent time with it! lol
Well done everyone
P.S. So happy for you Dizzy - i love news like that makes me wanna :j:j:j:j:j0 -

It's all in the planning ttcb. To me the most important thing is planning your food shopping so you have everything in you need (and ideally none of the things you don't!). I'm not trying to encourage you to stray from the plan but I find that saving extra syns for the weekend works for me. Most of us like a little reward now and then and I find that having enough syns for treats (in my case wine) at weekends keeps me motivated. It does mean eating very low syn/syn free during the week but (with some planning) I can cope with that. Good luck!
My EE plan for the day:
B: NAS squash, HEB porage,HEA milk +teas
Snacks: clementine, apple
L: JP?gammon, chips, mushy peas, tomatoes mushrooms
Syns: weekend wine!:)
That's my HEB all gone at breakfast two days running which can be a bit difficult. and today I had a spoonful of syrup on my porage as we're out of bananas and I find it bland plain. Yesterday I ate a tin of sardines with beetroot for lunch, ok but not the same as having it on toast somehow. Today probably a jacket with beans or something. Must get out and do the food shopping!!!0 -
Hi all,
I hope you don't mind if I join you? I've just started doing SW today, having last done it over 10 years ago! I would love to lose at least 3 stone, after having 2 children. Everyone says that it should be falling off as I am always running around, but on the flipside I am tired a lot of the time and busy so tend to pick a lot and eat chocolate/biscuits and cake! Today I have been to the cheap fruit and veg stall by us and bought loads of fruit and veg, so that I can snack on that. I got cabbage, cauli, lettuce, broccoli, swede, butternut squash, aubergine, grapes, satsumas, bananas, plums, pears, grapefruit and some other bits for just under £10!
I fancy doing the EE days as there seems to be less to count, the only disadvantage being less HE, but I guess I can use my syns if I fancy some bread or some milk?
I had a quick question, I love ham, but find that getting it from the supermarkets can be expensive. If I were to get a gammon joint, cook it, and then slice it up, as long as it was lean, would this be free on an EE day?
Thanks, sorry for the long essay and questions - am looking forward to losing some weight!0 -

Well done G&B :T:T:T. You should always give yourself a big pat on the back when your will power kicks in like that because it can be so hard to resist temptation. I had a huge (and I mean huge) wobble about two weeks ago when I was going to sneak a takeaway while I was waiting for my clothes to dry at the launderette (don't ask) and after finally managing to get home without having succumbed (is that a word?), my feeling was that I now know how smokers feel when they're trying to give up! It was a huge mental battle and I was actually chuffed when I managed to come through!
Today I have been naughty. My friend has a birthday tomorrow so although I don't work Fridays I went up to work lunchtime today and a gang of us went out to a restaurant which does a chinese and indian buffet type arrangement thing. However, I was a little bit good because I only had water to drink instead of coke as I'd have had pre-diet, and I also didn't have chips which I would have had before. But I did go up three times to fill my plate, although I really didn't have alot. Honest! And then I had some vanilla ice cream topped with four fizzy cola bottles (bizzare) for pudding - big headache after though, probably the sugar. But, I only had a banana and a toffee muller light for breakfast, and will just have a mug shot soup later. Damage limitation!!
JxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -
Well done all you losers, especially the newbie losers, extra well done to you and KEEP IT UP (or down, whichever way you look at it!)
Woohoo for me, my 2 weeks holiday from SW is over and our new local class starts on Tuesday, I just saw an ad in the local newspaper. That's good, as it is a better night and a better time for me. I've been having a little weigh some mornings at home and I don't think I've gone off the rails too much but I haven't been extra good either I'm afraid (that's due to knowing I'm not going to be officially weighed for a bit).
Just tried a Quorn burger with a load of salad and some onion, mushroom and tomato. I can't decide if I liked it or not. I'll try the second one tomorrow for a definitive decision)
:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!
