  • hello, onetomany, jump on the tank.

Maman, I adore bubble & squeak and I have some leftover cooked cauliflower (I bought this strange lime green cauli from a farmers market the other day!), mmmm I'll cook up some instant mash & stick it on the GF grill for a little suppertime treat!

Because I haven't been to class for nearly 2 weeks I thought I'd have a little home weigh tonight, and it looks ok to me (except I just realised I was just out of the shower, thus nekkid, hmmm might weigh a bit more with clothes on). No sign of the new class in the next town yet, although the new consultant's name is on my old class that is no longer convenient and I think the two new consultants trained at the same time. I booked 2 weeks holiday assuming he would be starting his class then ... oh well push comes to shove I shall just have to rejoin when he starts up. (yes, he!)
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
  • Weighed in tonight, lost 2lb and got half stone award so happy with that! Anniversary tomorrow and going out for dinner but will try to chose wisely and save up syns for the next few days. Hope everyone has a good week.

2lb off for me tonight! Normal service has resumed!!

As for Red vs Green vs EE, I haven't had any red days so far, mostly EE, but I have had the occasional green. On EE my cereal and milk in the morning is my healthy extra so that's yummy cheese gone for a burton. So I like a green day now and then so I can have a bit of cheese on my mash or jacket potato. And if I have a mugshot or savoury rice or some such as one meal, then the amount of meat I can have with my potatoes is usually plenty.

    Jx
And it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end

Well done piglet, it's infuriating being so near but I'm sure you'll do it next week no problem. I was like that when close to target and then I had a 3.5lbs loss and went under target all in one go. Keep at it!!

It rather depends on what sort of restaurant your clients like to go to otm. If it's garden centre type places or many pubs then a jacket with beans and (naked) salad is probably your best bet. Steak with salad and jacket/new potatoes is an option if you want to spend a bit more. I went to a Harvester and had a sort of chicken breast thing, jacket and heaps of salad from the salad bar. Carveries can be OK (ish) if you keep away from yorkshires, roasties, cauli cheese, too much gravy, horseradish...:rotfl:If you're prepared to use syns then there are options from Chinese, Indian or Italian that are the lowest. Personally I either go as syn free as possible or I go flexi syn but that's only for special occasions.

For 'on the move' then my favourite is some form of pasta salad or salad with potatoes to give bulk. With the winter coming up, you could get a food flask and take HM soups with you. If you're careful wth your HEB at breakfast you can save enough for a sandwich. HTH

    My EE Menu today:

B: NAS squash, HEB toast, mushrooms, tomatoes, fried egg, HEA milk for teas
L: Yet more bubble & squeak with pickled beetroot! clementine
D: pork steaks with peppers, mushrooms, onion and passata sauce plus SW roasties, cauli and broccoli
    Snacks: toast and Marmite
Syns: none (determined to get back close to target after last week's holiday)

hello, haven't posted for quite a while - I've been meandering along the SW road, not being very careful and cheating a fair bit so I have neither gained nor lost, which is OK. However, I now have to get stuck in and stick to the plan - the weather is going to turn colder and I want to fit into my winter clothes and not have to buy a load more (well, I have no money to buy any more right at the moment!).

I also always feels so much better when doing SW - I think it's all the fruit and veg that gives you so much more energy - well that's my theory and I'm sticking to it!

Off to plan a few days food.
    Trying to keep in budget.

Not been on for a while but I seem to be doing ok! Lost 1.5 lbs last week and maintained this (WI Monday) - which is really good as it was my GS's birthday Thursday and mine Friday.

Family didn't want me to cook Friday so we had a takeaway (Thai) and I didn't have a starter, and stuck to a plainish noodle dish. Saturday OH took us out to a local pizza place, but I chose spaghetti bolognaise, then Sunday I had planned the Vegetable Tagine + a Lamb Tagine (out of the recent magazine) for family tea. My DD made a coconut cake with coconut icing for me so I had to have a piece (be rude not to!) so was absolutely amazed that I'd actually maintained.

I usually do Green days as my OH is a vegetarian, but throw in the occasional red or EE day to suit my meat cravings, and to jig up the plan so it's not too samey, although my consultant says I don't eat enough meat on those days really!

Have one more WI before I go on my hols and so I hope I lose a bit next week as I'm sure I'll put on over the following 2 weeks at an all inclusive resort :o

Well done all you losers! That sounds bad, but in reality it's good IYKWIM :D

Onwards and downward for us all.
