That's too many eggs in my opinion.. they're not bad for you, but quite calorific with a lot of fat.
3 or 4 a week is fine, I think.0 -
Evening all, WI and as expected 1lb gained. Thats the same 1lb I've lost and gained the last few weeks, I guess thats what you call maintaining
. Theres no way anybody will stay at there target weight week in week out so 1lb either way is pretty damn good. Deserve so much more so am happy with the 1lb :rotfl:
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Hi everyone. Am in my third week at Slimming World, weigh in tomorrow night. First week lost 4.5 pounds, last week lost 1 pound, so happy with that. As an ex-WW and having not done SW for years, I thought I might buy a recipe book tomorrow because being busy with kids/work etc, I haven't had a chance to really sit down and dream up meals.
Has anyone bought SW recipe books and do you recommend them? Extra Easy has been my preference so far, I can't quite believe that all those carbs on a green day would work... do many people do green days and does it work? Sorry for all the questions!!Slimming World: SD: 2.05.16 SW: 13st10lb
Goal: 11st 10lb by my birthday in August

I'm sure someone has a SW recipe book that's well used but most of the books are just compilations of the recipes in the magazines. If I were you I'd buy the magazine (cheaper at club) regularly and google/visit SW site for other recipes. Plus there's a link to tried and tested SW recipes in the first post of this thread. Personally, I mostly adapt recipes I was using before but I know some people are motivated by cookery books.
My EE menu for today:
B: NAS squash, HEB toast, baked beans, HEA milk for teas
L: sort of Bubble&Squeak/Spanish Omelette concoction with loads of LO veg and pickled beetrootduck confit, dauphinoise potatoes (with quark), peas, carrots, onions, cauli and broccoli
Snacks: wine syns:j and (if room) I'll have the rest of my HEB toast with Marmite0 -
thanks maman.... bought the magazine and made a couple of meals from it which were really nice. Will get myself a ring binder and keep them filed. Will also go and have a look at the link you mentioned in the first post of this thread. Wine syns - how i've spent most of mine too!! Its got to be done!!Slimming World: SD: 2.05.16 SW: 13st10lb

Next questioncan I eat too many eggs? :rotfl: They do have saturated fat in them I think? I've been eating 2-4 a day so far.
I usually have a couple of poached eggs every day for brekkie, and I might have some sw quiche aswell at some point if the mood takes me.
Eggs aren't restricted on the plan so 'fill your boots'.
The thinking has all been changed re cholesterol too with eggs.....they are no longer the 'evil' food that they used to be :rotfl:0 -

Thanks guys, I might cut down a tadI'll probably go off them soon anyway, just trying to distract myself from bread/crisps/chocolate/poison of the day!

I bought the curry feast book, that was definately a good choice for me. And the EE one looks to have some good recipes in (though I've not got it myself I've had a flick through my friends)
You can get loads of recipes from the SW website if you login with your membership details.0 -

I do 99.9% green, and when i stick to it (shh at the back), i lose.
On minimins (great site, worth a visit if you havent already), there is a girl who does only green and she has lost loads. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
re the eggs, I once tried to follow a weekly menu posted by SW and there were at least 2 eggs every day, usually it takes me 2 weeks to get through six eggs! I gave up on the third day, egg-bound! I think it depends if you are used to them or not :rotfl::jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!
