  • thought id share, ie unknown syns. a couple of weeks ago I gained 2.5 lb despite being good. so I re read my book and checked what I ate. found that whilst trying to be a goody two shoes. my oh having glasses of beer, I had been ploughing through tonic water by the litre bottle. turns out that it has 4 syns per 250ml which is the same for premium lager. what a waste. i thought i was being so good. still it has started to come off again now i have found this out. if you have slowed re check your books, bad habbits sneakily slip in without you realizing it

Thanks Blackberry :) I really wanted it, but couldn't bring myself to be so bad in my first week :rotfl:

Struggling with sugar cravings and a banging headache (probably sugar withdrawal!) today. Just had an Options and hea milk, hope that helps.

I didn't have the cravings but I did have a colossal banging headache for about four days towards the end of my first SW week. Tbh it's helped me stay away from sugary stuff because I don't want to go through that again!! I thought it would have lasted longer than it did though.

And it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end

Hi All, i'm new to this thread and not sure if this is the right place to post but, I've got an Android phone, does anyone know if there's a SW app, or something similar, for working out and keeping track of Syns?

hey, in my first week of SW and EE

what im finding difficult is what to havr for packed lunch to take to work. a couple of days ive had pasta salad (all free, cept 1syn for the 2 teaspoons of tomato puree i use!)

but i dont want to eat the same stuff everyday!!

can anyone help with tasty, free packed lunches>? x

Hiya, I'm in my first week too :) I come home for lunch, but still have to make it in a hurry! Have had tuna and couscous with salad and a boiled egg, normal salad, you can premake a baked potato if you have access to a microwave maybe?

I think mine's fading! I was *very* tempted last night by an unopened huge tin of miniature heroes  but stuck to my rice krispies square. I can't bring myself to cheat on my first week :D

Does anyone have any tips on the best way to keep lettuce/rocket fresh for longer?

    Todays plan:

B 2 egg omelette, 1/2 hea cheese, lettuce, tomatoes
L Possibly tuna salad and a boiled egg
D Roast, but tweaked for SW!

Plus a fibre plus bar for heb. Syns will more than likely be a rice krispies square bar, I'm a creature of habit! Might have a mid morning snack of a mullerlight with a nectarine too, or a sf jelly pot.

Ps, can anyone explain why tinned/cooked fruit is synned but tinned veg isn't? I love tinned pineapple!

I'M BACK!!!!!! Been back a week but such a busy week that no time to catch up till this weekend. I had a fantastic time in York and Edinburgh (thanks so much for advice on where to go, what to do etc.) York was great, walked all around on the wall. Betty's was lovely but a bit over rated and VERY overpriced!!!! (had to be done though!)

TIE Such sad news, all you can do is be there to support. If the funeral has happened I hope that you got through it o.k., it's so hard when your own saddness is bought back to mind by other peoples.

    MAGNOLIA FIVE STONES!!!!!!!! - Fantastic.

    LOUISE22 - 3.1/2 stone in 16 weeks - absolutely great.

ALM721 - Whitter away if it keeps you on the right track, we don't care!

AND DIZZY - What can I say? 3.1/2 stone shiney AND a magic ear (you're cup is truly half full at the moment and long may it be!!!!!) It's the very best news, you don't need anyone to tell you that. I am so very pleased for you. xx

Sorry if I have forgotten anyone - don't mean to but two weeks is a lot to catch up on.

I only put 1/2 lb on after my hol so I was pleased with that.

Welcome to all the newbies, re-starters. Well done all the losers and big hugs for anyone struggling. Stick with it and it'll pay off.

    Bye for now xx

Thanks Guns - we actually stayed with my sister in law and family in Pen i cuik, about 20 mins away from Edinburgh but went in a few times. Went up the castle (again), we love the Royal Mile, so interesting, we like to people watch while having coffee. Also visited a few of the little places around, Peebles, Moffet. Generally we had a nice rest and catch up cos we don't see the family there very often. I did get my hair cut at Cheynes (not sure if that's how you spell it) it cost an absolute fortune (by my usual standards (£54.25 for a wash and cut) I nearly fainted when she said the price. I did really love it though so it was worth it but I am rubbish at straightening it myself so any tips from anyone would be welcomed!!!! xx

I've just realised that I (and any others of us who are tone deaf - naming no names, but you know who you are) shall have to stop singing as the tank wends its way now, Dizzy will hear me and lose concentration

Quiet at the back please !!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

my cup feels full to the brim & trickling happily over the edges at the moment with the arrival of my magic ear :D

Tinned fruit has been cooked during its prep so that process means the fruit has syns (the fruit sugars or something technical:o)

Tinned veg.....well you cook veg anyway and errrrr well thats all I know :rotfl::rotfl: Its free!!!;)

Cheynes is so expensive!! I used to straighten my hair ( i have really thick curly hair) and using the right products is key i think. Kerastase range is amazing, i also much preferred my Babyliss Pro 230s to my GHDs:) Given up straightening it now, life is too short! Curly and proud:D

Ok, that makes sense-ish, thanks :D

Next question :o can I eat too many eggs? :rotfl: They do have saturated fat in them I think? I've been eating 2-4 a day so far.
