Am I right in thinking that most people who follow Green are either veggies or those who started SW before EE was introduced? I've only really known EE (because that's what they talk you through when you start these days) and whenever I've tried a Green day I make a right mess of it.0

Wrong on both counts with me Maman sorry, neither veggie (i eat my steak RARE!!) or an old SWer. I just prefer green, it suits me and i can only do it if i enjoy it.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

I stand corrected!:o I'd be interested to hear why people make their choices (Green/Red/EE). I know some people at my group vary it to 'shake up' their systems if things are slowing down.0 -

Wasnt having a go Maman, please dont think i was:o
I do green because i like my 2 A+B choices and i like carbs (i was rubbish at Atkins:rotfl:)
I can only do a diet ( i know its not a diet, but cant think of another word) if i actually enjoy it and enjoy the food i'm eating. Atkins made me feel physically sick!
I occassionally use meat as a B choice or syn some as like i say i'm not vegetarian, but generally eat mostly veggie food currently and i'm loving it.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Weigh in for me, lost 0.5lb:) ( really lost 3lbs but as i was being stubborn and not counting the gain i dont get to count the loss obviously!)The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

I liked to change my days to shake things up a bit, I have terrible habit of eating the same food a lot, so a way to rectify that is to change my days.
Although now i am maintaining I have been mainly doing EE, with 1 red and 1 green a week.
I have to say I am not even trying anymore, eating healthy just comes natural to me now, I don't count syns or Healthy extras, measure or weigh anything. I honestly and truthfully don't feel I am watching my weight now, and I am maintaining well, im still 3lb below target.
Strange thing is, I have had a tin of roses in front of me every night for about a week, and not once have I been tempted to have one. Prior to me maintaining and counting syns, just looking at the tin would have killed me, its so strange when you know you can get away with having 1 or 2, I don't want them!
I only wish I had started SW years ago, but hey better late than never.0 -
Just reading all the recent posts on eggs, has anyone seen this article, I read something similar in the Daily Mirror last week, quite concerning, what is everyones thoughts on it
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2043180/Prostate-cancer-Eating-just-3-eggs-week-significantly-increases-risk.html
I do admit to generally ignoring stuff like this, I always say if we believe everything we read about all these dangerous foods out there, we would all starve to death! Still food for thought tho!!0 -

I couldn't agree more susie. Previously, I must have thought about how fat and frumpy I'd become several times a day and it was a real downer. Now this is replaced by enjoying how I feel which is a great boost.
This morning I've been emptying our spare wardrobe as DH wants to relace it with a fitted unit and do some decorating. I couldn't resist trying on my favourite 'black tie' dress. Two years ago I had to borrow one for a function from a 'large' friend and DD wore mine. Now I can put it on over the joggers I was wearing for housework!:D
Anyone got any views on the new 'fat' tax they're introducing in Denmark? It sounds like a tax on syns!:)
MY EE menu for today:
B: NAS squash, HEB toast, 2 boiled eggs, HEA milk for teas
L: Bubble & Squeak, pickled beetroot, clementineBeef stir-fry with Golden Rice
Snacks: rest of HEB
Syns: none
I'm quite obsessed with bubble & squeak lately, so I'm making extra veg specially. Today I put in a bit of thyme, tabasco and fried up a tomato and a chopped spring onion with the LO veg. It was delish! No offence taken by the way guns. I often think I could have a green day. Today, I haven't had any meat yet and for tonight's stir-fry DH and I share a piece of steak no bigger than a matchbox with a mountain of veg.0 -
