Heading for winter with Slimming World

Hi everyone. I've been following the dukan diet for a while now and lost just over 2 stone. I've found myself slipping recently and I'm thinking of joining SW - which I've done previously. My plan is to stick to mostly red days at first, I don't want a carb overload!
Are there many of you who do it at home rather than go to a group? I'm not sure what to do.0 -
Honeypie, although I know little about Dukan, I do know that SW offers a very healthy, long-term way of eating. There are a number of people who 'go it alone' but the best way suggested is to go to a group just the once. You'll get the books and the introductory talk and then you have most of the info you need plus you can come on here to ask questions. On top of that if you buy the magazines every two months they have sample menus and loads of recipes and motivation. The SW website gives you a sample menu too and there are lots of sites (including this one in post 1) with recipes. The first visit costs about £10.
I know it's a bit late in the day but today's EE menu:
B: NAS squash, HEB toast, baked beans, HEA milk for teas
L: fish finger sandwich:o, clementineSW chilli with xtra veg, wedges, rice, peas and pickled beetroot
Snacks: clementine and apple
I was a bit short of SFs today hence the snacks. The fish finger sandwich was probably about 4 syns with just one fish finger and about 2tsps of tartare sauce but I did enjoy it:)
WI tomorrow. I've been totally on plan for a 8 days since my holiday with about 80 syns so hoping I'm still at target!0 -
Hiya, long time since I been here. Not put on any weight but not lost much either
Er I bought something called celebrity slimmer milkshake thing about 2 months ago (was some special offer on hukd site which is suppose to save me money but I seem to spend more :rotfl:).
Not having much luck with it so anyway, was wondering if I could combine this with SW. Anyone know the syns of one of those shakes?
Was thinking could have one shake for breakfast (as they are delicious and I dont want to waste them). Then having a SW style lunch and dinner

Right I need to stop messing about! I lost one pound last week and put on one and a half this week - mainly due to just random picking!
So, I am writing down my food this week and doing the extra easy plan. I have told people at work not to offer me anything!
I really do hope that this time I have given myself a kick - not long until Christmas and I really want to be back at my goal by then!
Have a great day everyone!0 -

Pleased to say at WI this morning I am now lighter than my pre-holiday weight!:j I've only got half a pound to play with or I slip out of my below target range. So I can afford a few treats this week. It won't be today though, I'll save them for the weekend and I'm having a meal out next week. Nice feeling....and for those of you not there yet, you will if you stick with it. Where you are is probably where I was a year ago!!
EE plan for today:
B: NAS squash, HEB Puffed Wheat, HEA milk plus for teas, banana
L: JP and something?chicken jumbalaya with loads of veggies in
Snacks:clementines or apples
Syns: none0 -
Evening all! Had my first weigh in last night and I'm stunned to say I lose 6lbs!!! So so happy with that, has really spurred me on
today's food:
Mullerlight, nectarine
Tuna and cous cous with a HUGE salad.
Satsuma, apple
Spinach and bacon soup
Fibre plus bar
Babybel (hea and heb)

I have been off and on this week! I blame Dizzy's bad driving:whistle:
Lack of planning has been my real issue, fail to plan - plan to fail.
Today - A for milk(a)
Coffee(a)
21g all bran(3), yoghurt, nana, tea(a)
apple, 1/2 minging satsuma, lentil soup, 2 slices bread(B)
coffee(a), fibre plus(B)
Quorn chilli, rice, cheese(A), can coke(7)
Strawberries, meringue(5), tea(a)
Both A+B and full 15 syns. Had a real craving for full fat coke and 7 syns isnt too bad! Wont be making a habit of it though.
