Well - although it has been quiet in here for the last week or so there have still been some fantastic losses - well done to all of you :T
Its WI day for me and ....... another ........-2lbs
I am happy with 2lbs per week now - that equates to 8lbs per month and over a stone in 2 months. I am much more comfortable with my shape and look - at nearly 60 it was never going to be perfect but it looks so much better in clothing :rotfl:
:T:T:T well done Lady !!! what an achievement :A x0 -

As far as I know they are and I am using them as such.
Is it me or have they got slightly smaller. There seems to be more room at either end when they are in their packages? The Cabbage

Hello all
Hope you are all well
I've been absent for a bit due to another sodding vertigo flare up. But the good news is I paid to go private and saw a specialist this week who did the Epley manouvre on me (a kind of physio) which has a 95% success rate at fixing the vertigo
so finger's crossed it's worked. If it has worked I can start exercising again too :j
I am due to go on a big 4 week holiday in a month's time - to hong Kong, Oz, New Zealand and Singapore. So I want to try lose 7lbs in the next 4 weeks.
Green day for me:
B - 2 eggs fried in frylight on HM WM bread (HEB), marg (0.5syns), beans
L - huge salad, cheese (0.5 HEB), olive oil (0.5 HEB), balsamic, HB egg, LF coleslaw (3.5syns)
D - HM spinach and ricotta lasagne (2x HEA for cheese), salad
Snacks - orange, pear, banana
Drinks - coffee, fruit tea, water, squash
Total syns = 4
May have a kitkat later (5.5syns)

Is it okay to come and join everyone here?
I started SW a few weeks ago and so for it's been a bit hit and miss (my fault not SWs). 1st WI gained half a pound, 2nd lost 7 pounds, third gained 1 pound, 4th & 5th no WI due to hospital treatments but have WI at home & lost another 4 pounds so after 5 weeks I'm 11 pound lighter. :j Though I'm unsure whether 11 pounds lose in 5 weeks is good or bad?
I am trying to get to grips with the EE, free foods are confusingso finding this thread has been great.
anyway nice to 'meet you' all.

Ive been super skint lately and reduced to eating from my freezer which was not SW friendly:( However all my non SW stuff has gone and i made a bit of money at work last night so managed to buy enough to do me the next few days until i get my tax credits. Hubby is self employed and waiting for people to pay him is a nightmare! He's owed so much money and people are being so slow to pay:mad: Student loan people also messed up my payments and waiting for them to fix it so not a good month for money:o
Will all probably affect my weight loss tomorrow though, expecting a small gain, but will put it behind me and get back on track. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

Hoping people come through soon for you and OH. Can be so difficult towards the end of the month. Its usually when you rely on freezer etc and not normally SW friendly!:(**Keep Calm and Carry On!**0 -

Thanks hun, i've had to start working less too as i'm now in my final year at uni so need to be studying. Its all happened at once and had a fairly big impact on my finances!
Fingers crossed student loan should come through this week, can just afford to pay my mortgage if it doesnt but there wont be much left over:(The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Well done Mags, and Tehya I would say 11 lbs in five weeks is very good, though be aware it will (actually it has) level out a bit. If you ignore the nice big first week loss and don't count that week at all you have lost 4 lb in 4 weeks which is what SW reckon is the best way, slow and sure.
Flutterby, I hope the Eppler technique works for you. I would've liked my gp to suggest it for me (having googled ahead of time!) but he just wanted me to take tabs for the rest of my life which I refuse to do as it clearly says that these dizzy spells can finish as fast as they started. Mine wore off after a couple more days but I also bought myself a funny hat from the Internet which you put on and lay flat and then move your head following this little marble in a straw (you need to see it!) and it's kind of doing the Eppler technique on yourself. It worked when I had another dizzy spell. Just thinking you might want to get one to take with you on your wonderful trip? I can happily PM you more info if you can't find it yourself.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

Must be a nightmare. Would love to go back to school myself but I know we just can't afford it at the moment. Just stick with it hun. Might be hard now but will be great when you come through the other side**Keep Calm and Carry On!**0
