i found 4 complete sets of skis and poles at our rubbish dump and sold them on ebay for £165 !! ( not relevant to the thread , but i though id mention what bargains you can pick up if you look )
before you all jump into the skips at your local dump be aware that some people have paid for a monopoly or our rubbish and they hand pick what they can sell and have car boots etc etc,in fact at our dump these people have installed cctv and are putting up signs saying you will be took to court for theft if you help yourself to their stuff!!!

I know someone has mentioned this already, but Empty Ink Cartridges sel really well, usually get a few people bidding on them. Lexmark sell well, I've had more that £5 for one colour and one black (best if they are original Lexmark ones). Also HP cartridges seem to sell well, I think that the more expensive they are to buy new, the more people are willing to refill!!
Will be hunting for some old tax discs, and other mad things that ha ve been suggested!!

I picked up a massive (230cm wide, haven't laid it out yet to measure the drop) 25mm slat timber blind today that had been left out in the shared area behind the office where I work (which is in a shopping centre). It'd been there and I'd been eyeing it up all week before I finally decided to call the centre manager today and ask him if I could take it, since nobody else seemed to want it. He said to help myself!

As far as I can tell, the only things wrong with it are: the little wand that you twist to tilt the slats back and forth has snapped off, and it's missing its mounting brackets. I'm hoping that someone on eBay will not mind fixing it up. Could be a nice little earner, I hope!

I've also been thinking about signing up with a couple of drop-shippers, but HMRC released an "are you an e-trader" guide this week which kind of put me off a bit. :undecided
  • I sold an old girl guide uniform that had been hanging around for about 20 years. It went for about £23!
I don't even think it is one that can be used now, the uniform has changed since I was little.

    A few questions though:
Empty perfume bottles - are there particular brands that sell well? I have an empty cool water one - just wondering whether that is worth selling

I have put my old perfumes on this week after reading this. Elizabeth Arden Beutiful seems to be doing best but it is the soap that is the star so far. £10.50 it is new but still. However this girl from the US just emailed me she has bid 10.50 is that dollars? And is also ask what GBP is? She has over 2000 feedbacks but obviously never bought from the UK.
She probably sees the amount in GBP and Dollars, GBP means Great British Pound.. USD is United States Dollar.

So she should (i would think) see it on her screen as $22 USD.. (approx-whatever the exchange rate is at the mo).. As well as £10.50 GBP.
