you get 100 free listings anyway, but if you use all those then list on one of these w/e's you get cautioned for being a business seller. :mad:0 -
I am currently selling used pyjamas from Primark and bidding has exceeded what I paid for them!!! They are not in the 'well worn' category as have been washed thoroughly - and this was stated carefully in the listing! They are almost double what I paid for them in fact! I have found in general though that Primark clothing sells well - often to places that don't have a Primark locally - I have sent a lot of Primark clothing to the Hebrides and some of the more northern and remote parts of scotland.0

I hate these

I didn't know it was just 100 we got. I never list more than that. The good thing about these weekends is that you can list more than 99p and not pay which works for me. Saves me doing BIN.The art is not in making money, but in keeping it!!!0 -
I agree. I can easily sell Primark clothes or something i've had in my closet for years which is well worn.
If it's brand new and is a really nice item of clothing with labels and i start the bid at £5 or higher, noone is interested.
I have a broken Nintendo DS. I have no idea what's wrong with it. My son dropped in on the tiled floor and it doesn't turn on. It looks perfect otherwise. Do i start bidding at 99p?Dave Ramsey Fan[/COLOR]0 -
I'm so motivated right now....i'm ready for the free listings.
I have found 3 electrical items to sell and 3 items of clothing including 2 that are well worn.
I just taken pics and will list tomorrow evening.

£1 a day savings pot started 23 January 20120 -
A Thermos flask top after OH broke my 1980s treasured tartan number, sold to a grateful fisherman whose own top had blown off at sea! (was a discontinued spare part). He made an extra donation to the charity i'd selected to benefit from the sale :-)
An old Harley Davidson Tshirt that nearly went to the charity shop sold for £17 to a french fashion student.
Some old buttons salvaged from a cardigan that had got ripped. Was asked by the buyer to recount their history!
The base of a freebie Lurpak butter dish, that I broke the lid of after 10 years of owning it (butterfingers!)
A chipped microwave turntable and grill rack sold for more than I paid for the microwave new (for spares)
A pair of spanish shoes that were given to me, sold for £50 to a shoe collector
Hotel soap & body lotion items from around the world sold for £10 as a job lot for charity
Bought a job lot of blender accessories to get one part for my old trusty blender for £2, saving me £15 on a spare part and sold the other 5 items on for a total of £20.
Some dented empty campbell soup tins
Old gig ticket stubs
A piece of left over posh wallpaper which ended up being made into a picture by the buyer!
Also have sold several items to benefit a charity where the buyer has paid for the item and then said I don't need to post it and asked me to sell it again! (strange but true & refreshingly nice!)
It's worth a go and so far I've raised over £100 for smaller local charities as well as making a bit of extra cash myself from stuff that would have got chucked out. Better than going to landfill!0 -
Ok this is a weird one but my friend was clearing out her underwear draw and shes the sort of person who tries to sell everything on ebay before throwing it and she had 20 pairs of primark knickers all been washed but fairly old and they sold for £35 they only cost her £20 in the first place god know who bought them but they left her good feedback so after that sale i decided there's nothing that can't be sold on ebay :rotfl:water £82.00 Totally Paid June 2012, vanquis £290.00 Totally Paid July 2012, e.on £300.00 £189.00 Paid Sep 2012, Scott and co. £989 £918 Paid Oct 2012, s/p £400.00 £295 Dec 2012, o/d £2,000.00 Dec 2012, rent £1,600.00 Jan 2013, mum £1,500.00 £1,400.00 Feb 2013

Last time (2 weeks ago??) we had the free listing weekend I put up some old promo tops up for sale. Stuff I was not going to wear and got a fiver for some of them. I was just going to throw them out as charity shops won't take that sort of stuff as it's branded but someone out there in Ebay land wants it. Also an Australian outback shirt that was far too big for me again promo item and the buyer was very pleased!! It was a really nice shirt too but huge!! lol
I see Ebay as a bit of fun but I know there are sellers out there making millions which when you think about it is quite remarkable!!The art is not in making money, but in keeping it!!!0
