  • Great thread, spent the last few days reading every page, i have a question about postage i have some things to sell(clothes, shoes), but i don't know how or where to put the shipping cost for overseas? i don't want to get postage wrong as it could be a costly mistake.
I've looked on people selling items and they have a drop down box and you choose a country and it tells you how much it will cost, how do i get this?

www.royalmail.com - they have lots of information on postage and as long as you have a set of (fairly accurate) weighing scales you can guestimate the rough cost of postage and either print postage from the Royal Mail website - click on personal customers, then on the right 'price finder'.
Or take it along to your local Post Office and just ask for it to be weighed to get an idea of the cost! Hope this helps!!

Some excellent reads here guys! My DH used to work for 'GAME' so when I suggested trading in some old wii games he said we'd be lucky to get a couple of quid for a bag of twenty or so. Stuck them all up on Amazon and lets say... doing a lot better than a couple of quid. Those that don't sell after a few months might get put up on Ebay then if we're still not successful in shifting them on, I'll take them to a Game store.

I have some postcards that I've collected from various places for pennies (sometimes free!) and I'm thinking of sticking them on Ebay, after reading some of the posts here I'm wondering if I might be on to something lol!

Also - a little footnote - for some PC games like 'The Sims' you require activation codes for installation and updates. If these have previously been registered on a computer and to an email address, when you sell the game on the buyer may well have difficulty even installing them on to their system! May not be too big an issue with the earlier games where downloadable content isn't a big deal, I'm not sure.

Yay! Some mags seem to sell really well. Oh well, I'm not complaining. :D

Also, empty bottles of alcohol seem to sell sometimes, especially if they're bought from abroad with interesting labels on it. Each to their own...

That won't be a problem, I never used them like that so they won't be assigned to an email address at all! Thanks though! :)
