I didn't realise how popular broken nintendo ds lites are. I just put one up for auction and already have 2 people messaging me with offers.

Just let the auction run. My best guess is you'll get £20-£30 easy.

Thanks verymuch for the advice :). I had a feeling that those two ebayers were trying it on with offers of £12 and £13. I told them i'd try my chances with the auction as it's in very good condition - just doesn't turn on.

  • Thanks to this thread I've been encouraged to list stuff that I thought might sell, but just hadn't got round to, and which had taken over the back bedroom. I hadn't realised that if you list something for 99p start price it's free, so that gave me the kick-start I needed!

Last weekend we had a bumper crop, and made £250 :T enough to buy train tickets to take us from Paris to Italy (we're going skiing at Christmas and this was the last bit of the travel to be sorted!). In addition, we've started to get the spare bedroom back, and the plan for this weekend is to continue the big old sort out. The one sale which really surprised me was a box of electronic switches which was on its way to the skip at my husband's work. They are good for schools, so he saved them, offered them to three local schools - but there were no takers. With a 99p start price they eventually made £50+, and we have another two lots to go, with buyers lining up to relieve us of them, at a similar price.

    Thanks for the motivation, guys!

  • Great thread - really inspiring! So far I have listed an empty Britney Spears perfume bottle, a couple of copies of Grazia, a DS game unboxed and several pristine Hollister and Karen Millen carrier bags - all on 99p free listings as well as an almost brand new black DSi with box and case for a reserve of £50.00. How do you think I'll do? :)

  • I've been tripping over an old, very knackered mig welder for about 15 years in the back of my garage. I put it on ebay, fully and accurately described as parts or repair only and got £50 for it! Can't quite believe it.
