Why on earth would someone want an old tax disc?
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

Well I'm now going for round 2 of junk clearing on ebay after making nearly £500 on mostly junk over the weekend! So far I have found an old box set of landrover lightbulbs and fuses, a technical drawing set (seen similar ones go on ebay for around £50) and I'm going back now to have another rumage in the garage.

Some of the companies that sell refilled cartridges will buy empty ones for this purpose. Check some of their websites - you might even get more than £1.50 for some models.

But either way, it has got to be better than adding to landfill.

  • Faulty items have a habbit of selling if they are electrical thats even better.

    Why?

well the faulty item can be used for spare parts, I have a plasma screen on ebay wth a fault just now, I expect to get around £400 as the parts can be used to fix another unit.

The other reason why faulty items sell, well what you do is purchase a working version from a shop, swap it out for the faulty item take it back to the shop and get a refund on the faulty item.

This is illegal but I know it goes on as I used to work at a high street retailer and our manger made us check the serail number matched up with the serial number on the box.

Great thread! Have had a huge clear out since Christmas & have loads of stuff boxed up to freecycle/charity shop. Just checked some prices on ebay & was very surprised. Thanks to OP.
