Just a little question - am i allowed to have a stall at my daughters xmas fate. I am unsure as not sure if i have heard that your not allowed to do take money for goods and delivery them within 24 hours. Something to do with door to door sales or something? If i am allowed, do they work out profitable? I would be spending £5 on table so guess i only have to sell a few bits to make money, plus may get some more customers. Do i charge book price or slightly lower? And what things do you think sell best? Sorry turned out i had a lot of questions to ask after all:)
We can't do door-to-door sales without a peddlar's license because we don't have a fixed spot to sell from. We, and our stock, would be moving from place to place. But when you're doing a carboot, fete or market stall you and your stock stay at your pitch so you don't need a license for that.
Avon's generic response is that as Independent Reps we can sell Avon in whatever way we like.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Yeah it was fab thanks, lots of people didn't turn up in the evening who said they would - but - the important people were there so we didn't miss them lol. Just waiting to get some pics of the photographer - should be some funny ones as it had been raining all morning so after the ceremony I put my Wellies on for going about on the grass! As mil said it wouldn't have been me otherwise, me and high heels don't mix very often.

Bit miffed here. Had a customers husband phone me up this morning about a product his daughter ordered and she said it was the wrong one even though when I had delivered it I said to him (and wrote on the order form) that Avon replaced it with another one because they didn't have that one in stock and to call me if it wasn't the right one. This was about 4 weeks ago now cos I have given up that road so I was really annoyed to get a phone call so far down the line!! I have said I may be able to send it back but I almost don't think I should cos I have to trundle back up there to collect it AND I did explain at the time and like I said wrote on the order the form that it was a different product!!
I know there is the 90 day guaretee blah blah but I've now got to go up there twice and I am not happy about it! esp as they aren't my customer anymore!Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
Just had my SL round to show me how to put the orders in, she was really pleased with how much I'd made in a week
especially as I'd only covered about half of my area.
Got a few C17 brochures, and she's going to bring me more next week, definitely looking forward to seeing how much I can make this time
Plus, I managed to resist buying anything for myself0 -
And I'm really upset that even if people need the books for longer they still don't put them out and I am in and out like a yo yo, I'm 6 and a half months pregnant I can't be chasing people like thisSquirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0

The delivery date can't be changed but you can choose a new delivery address. I'm not 100% sure how you do it, but if you do make sure both Avon and your courier company have the new address so there's no crossed wires. Unfortunately this is also an area effected by Avon's area boundaries, and couriers won't deliver to an address that's outside the boundary. Get your ASM to check whether your chosen alternative address is okay first. Reps on Connects have set a new address, delivery day has come and gone, and only after chasing up the couriers do they find out it couldn't be delivered out of area.
When you put your order through online you can set a temporary delivery address on the last page (just before you hit submit) click on the link and put in the delivery address you want. If they have any probs they'll most likely call you.Avon Sales Leader in North Kent Since July 20110 -
Hi,
I've managed to get an opportunity to have a table top sale in a big insurance company office in a couple of weeks time and have a few questions I thought maybe some of you could help with?
1. I would like to sell products but am not sure whether to order them from the normal brochure to sell on with the normal commission or whether to use HT and offer a slight discount to my customers whilst charging slightly more than I paid for them. Is this allowed or should I stick to ordering from the normal brochure?
2. I have just sent in my order for this campaign (arriving tomorrow), can I still put in an additional order for this campaign? How long does this take to arrive after I've placed the order?
3. Does anybody have any good ideas for maximising my sales or recruiting new reps? I'm a trainee sales leader and haven't managed to recruit anyone so far.
Thanks in advance, everyone has been so helpful and friendly on this forum and reading it has helped me loads.

apparently additional orders can take 5-7 working days to arrive with you... however if you are able to pick up your boxes from the depot it will trim quite a bit off that (just had to order a mass more brochures to appoint with), talk to avon and they will be best to advise you on the arrangements in your area.Avon Sales Leader in North Kent Since July 20110

last book collection for me before my order today - didnt even get all the books out in the last drop as the printer ran out of ink and I still havent made it to town to get more (I live in a village about 7 miles out of town doh!). Fingers crossed for some final orders. Wishing I could drop again today for Monday pick up, but I start a new job on Monday and so wont be here
Excited to get the order all put in on Sunday night though woohooo.
NewToAvon - I would sell for the book price, if anyone seems a bit reluctant then you can offer a "deal" price or offer if you likeIf you have lots of little bits laying around that were cheap, I would put them in a little basket with a card saying "spend £15 and pick one item free" or something like that (but as a family we have ALWAYS had lots of Avon freebies and extras laying around to be able to do that).
For maximising sales I guess its the things you already know but perhaps just need to stick with, talk to everyone you can and let them know you do Avon. Let them know if they have friends who like it too you can give them an extra book to share with them. Perhaps offer friends some incentives to bring the book to their office with them? And make sure you are dependable, dont say you will collect your books you droped on Friday on Monday and then turn up on a Tuesday. People like to know they can trust you will show up when you say you will
I collect most of my books from outside the house as perhaps 60% put them out on the morning requested, for the people I have to knock and request the book I make a point of making conversation with them, not just asking for the book and running. IMO it makes you seem more of a "real person" and not just somebody there to collect the book.
Im not onto recruiting yet but if you have some great customers I would actually ask them if they would like to sell Avon as they would make a great sales person with them already loving the productGood luck!
