And I'm really upset that even if people need the books for longer they still don't put them out and I am in and out like a yo yo, I'm 6 and a half months pregnant I can't be chasing people like this
Make up some notes in Word saying when you need orders to be in by (a time as well as date) with all your contact details. Then if people need the book for longer, or just don't leave it out/aren't in, they have all the info they need to place an order if they really want one.
With some of those customers you might want to ask if you can have their phone number and you'll ring them to make sure they don't miss out. I had a customer (who's also extended family) tell me she'd missed out a couple of times because she'd just forgotten, so I suggested I ring up and if she doesn't want anything that's fine, but if she does she hasn't missed out. I only suggested it because she's sort-of family, but it made me think I should offer it to other customers as well. The ones who I suspect might have orders but just forget.
If you find you're always giving notes to certain houses (and therefore not getting your book back) put them on backorder. This means you can move onto doing fewer straggler collections, or even none, without the worry of losing books. Even if you have to buy more books (20 will only cost you £2) it could be worth it to save discomfort over the next few months.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

If it's the same courier they'll deliver to another area, if it's not far away it'll be fine. I used to get mil order coming to mine even though she was a different area. When I'm away/out it gets put in the shed and locked which could be an option, if a friend has a shed nearby.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Boohoo. i am not allowed a stall at the school xmas fate as another well know toiletries/makeup company (BS) has already asked. Pretty sure i was first as i answered 2 secs after the post was done but hey they dont want me. School in quite a posh area and i think they feel BS will give a better impression but thats my opinion. Was looking forward to trying something new.
Not giving up though and now looking at some other indoor carboot sale days etc to do before xmasMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

HI there, I often do school fairs etc its a great way of getting rid of old stock. I found though that you can never tell what people want to buy but they want it CHEAP! Or for nothing!!! Just dont undersell and lose money, if you can make things a little cheaper than the book then great, also make sure you have some of the current books out for people to take and of course your details.
Where abouts are you? I would check with the school as well that there isnt already anyone doing an AVON stall there as well.
Good luck!0 -
Personally i would order from HT and sell for a little higher!!!
Wish I knew great tips for recruiting as I am having the same problem! Try putting an Ad on Gumtree its free!0 -
You can only order 1 of each item from HT - you get it at a reduced price to demonstrate, not to sell.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

I think they mean the clearence stuff in the back cos you can order as much of that as you like.Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -
I think the HT magazine is expensive and clearance section pricing is random I was looking at red body illsuion vest and it was £4 in C17 this time in C18 its £6.50 how is that justified? Why does Avon try to rip off its reps.0

If anyone was tempted by the Arabian glow bronzing pearls on last Monday's offer, be warned that they are in C17 on the 3 for £10 offer.... I am cancelling the ones I was going to buy as a result. I think this is rubbish on Avon's part. All the hype about sell them for £9, and the customer can get them cheaper in the book. If you want any you may as well buy them from C17!Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???0
