This made me laugh... that's about the extent of my make-up knowledge & I'm female :rotfl:
I know there are quite a few very successful male Avon 'ladies' on Connects, so might be worth posting on there. Now proud Mumto3 :j0 -
I shall try Avon connects and see what's being said.0

Hi Nicki, I would at least give the properties a go of which you can find doors to. You never know if you don't try. You may get some whacking great orders and be pleasantly surprised! Also worth speaking to you Upline or ASM as they will probably have a good idea of the area and know from previous reps what's the sales have been like or perhaps even have a customer list for you to go off.
WOW to 400 houses though!!! My reps only start with 150 max!
Thanks for the advice. I was given 462 houses to start with  My ASM wasn't prepared for me to do territory when she signed me up (no SL here) and sent me the list that evening, I nearly passed out when I saw the total :rotfl: Thats why its taken me so long to get round to covering my entire territory, I just can't afford the amount of books, and I've been doing other work as well so didn't have the time either. I think I'll have to take a wander along there and try to discreetly note which ones I'm going to attemptThey'll definitely be on back order though

Not all of us females have that advantageI have sensitive skin and so far discovered I'm allergic to perfumes (it would appear the majority if not all of them  ), lip glosses, some of the lipsticks (mainly the "plumping" or high gloss ones), mascara, the foundations that I've tried, the sonic vibe thing for under your eyes, and some of the various body/face creams (including the anew range), so I daren't try the hair colours just in case :rotfl: I'm just glad I can ask my sister (also a rep) for advice when I need it, or find the answer on here
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

I guess I shouldn't make assumptions!0 -
So annoyed, was bagging up my orders yesterday and lots of bits were missing, I know I ordered them (I always double check before submitting) but they are no where to be seen on my invoice! Only good thing is that hubby is delivering as I'm at work tonight so it's him that gets to feel like a lemon telling people things haven't come!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Hoping someone might have some idea, I've had a lady ask me about an alternative to this product:
virgin vie soft beige one step face base
I'm guessing the magix foundation would be a good alternative but not 100% sure??Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Just had a look at the picture and the virgin vie one seems to be a pressed powder so maybe recommend one of those. I don't have the brochure to hand to look at the Avon ones to help you further I have only tried two avon foundations a cream to powder one which I didn't like the finish of and the minerals loose powder one which I love and would recommend to anyone. Don't know if that helps you at all?0

Lozza how annoying, hope you've got through the 'telling customers' bit OK about OOS. Had a not too bad C3 - nothing like starving customers for a few weeks for their catalogue.
Lost a customer many yrs ago as her daughter started avon. She's just asked for me back as DD has not enough time for avon any more. Soooo, it's now mother, DD and DD's favourite ex customer who now want me to serve them. Yay!
I still think there are many peeps (possibly older customers) who prefer our personal service over ordering on the internet. Makes returns so much easier for them"Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”0 -
I signed up on thueday and dropped my catalogues round last night, I decided collecting on Sunday afternoon would be my best bet as have a busy few days, but wondered afterwards if I would annoy people by turning up on a sunday, any recommendations as to best collection/delivery days?
Thanks in advance.0 -
I always collect on a Sunday and have never had a problem. I find it's the day easiest for me and I leave a note asking them to leave it outside if they don't want me to disturb them. Without sounding harsh- if they don't leave it outside they are basically saying its ok to disturb them. If they don't want the brochure I also have an opt out bit of the note or they tell me to my face if I have to knock on the door. Nobody has ever been rude about me knocking for the book.0
