I'm looking for a little advice please
I'm trying to cover all my territory in the next couple of campaigns (C4 starting Friday) and have a query for you more experience reps.
I have a main road as part of my territory, now on this main road is a lot of shops with flats above. I know these flats are student housing and the like, but most of them appear to be "abandoned" so to speak or I can't access them due to gates or basically no idea where the door is! Its 50 properties according to @von but from my local knowledge it isn't a large number of the shops at least are abandoned. What would you do? Would you bother canvassing the ones that look abandoned or should I just contact my upliner and ask to let that road (and another one which has no properties on it :rotfl:*shrug*) go? It'll leave me with over 400 properties as my territory anyway if I do.
Thank youCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Am i allowed to sell any surplus stock that i have via ebay / facebook? I have gained quite a few bits that i really should have sent back over the past 6 months but need the money. Just wondered if there were any rules stating that i am not allowed. ThanksMe, DD1 19, DS 17, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/19

Selling on stock - use the search box on the credits page to see if you can return anything. Even though you may be thinking, "but I got this 6 months ago it's well out of the guarantee", it's worth checking if you sold the same item less than 90 days ago (and that customer still has that item).
Once you know which items definitely can't go back, yes you can sell them on where you like (apart from doorstep selling where you need a Peddlar's License first). When I want to shift stock I do an A5-sized list on products and prices. I'm currently doing a New Year sale, which will run for more than 1 campaign so I can re-use the print-outs. To price the items I check what they're going to be selling for in upcoming campaigns and match the lowest price or undercut it further. I did a similar thing last summer and both easily covered the cost of printing (using a home printer on a less-than-perfect setting).
I also sell on ebay but that's entirely free stuff. I prefer a sale to regular customers because there's more profit to be made.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Signature body spray- just thought I'd update you. Put my order in tonight and while I was on there temporarily put the body spray onu order and when I viewed it there were no anticipated stock problems and had a green dot so maybe it will come this time around!0

Hi Nicki, I would at least give the properties a go of which you can find doors to. You never know if you don't try. You may get some whacking great orders and be pleasantly surprised! Also worth speaking to you Upline or ASM as they will probably have a good idea of the area and know from previous reps what's the sales have been like or perhaps even have a customer list for you to go off.
WOW to 400 houses though!!! My reps only start with 150 max!Avon Rep as of 05/10/10

Hi colinrobbie - I know I've missed the boat with this one, havent checked the thread for quite a while. Remember that at any one time you can order from the current brochure and the one before. I would suggest deliverin only 40 brochures in your first campaign and then for your second, delivering the new brochures to those who were canvassed with your original 40 brochures, and distribute the old brochures to new customers and have those customers on back order.
I'm fairly new to Avon too and really need to pull my finger out with it!! Might take my own advice and do a bit of recanvassing with some Brochure 2s!!
What did you end up doing in the end?
Best of luck!!

I put the books out in my street on Sunday and collecting them tomorrow. The rest of the books went to friends and family. Between the friends and family orders I will have enough for my minimum order value so anything in the street I will treat as a bonus and then start for real with campaign 4.
Am I right in saying I could give my campaign 3 customers a campaign 4 brochure and hand out the 3's again to new customers as I will still be able to order from that next time round?
Had a play around on the website to familiarise myself with the ordering system and it seems very straight forward.0 -

That's rightNow proud Mumto3 :j0 -
That's good then I'll have (hopefully) 40 books back plus new brochures to hand out next time but also time to distribute them a couple of times. Then I'll keep my fingers crossed for more customers.
On another note I'd be interested to hear of any experience of other male Avon reps. I know foundation from lippy but obviously it's not something I've ever used, while female reps can try Avon stuff and sell it to their customers with a different kind of knowledge.0
