Is it usual for an ASM to continually request details of your customers, ie names and addresses? Mine is getting quite pushy about this and even phoned last week, which is the first contact I've had from her since she signed me up over 2 years ago.
Secondly, for the second time in 9 months I have found a new rep is covering my area. I live in a village and this was asigned to me over 2 years ago. When this first happened last summer I emailed the ASM and received no reply. Fortunately the new rep decided it wasn't for her. On Saturday I found books left on doorsteps from a new rep. I phoned the lady concerned and explained (nicely!) that I already covered the village, she was very embarrassed and explained that she was told by hers and mine area rep that no one was covering this village. Since my ASM phoned only last week and asked me to confirm which village I covered this is obviously not an oversight. Is there anything I can do about this as she does not respond to my emails?
Not easy but hopefully this will help:
* Territory reps are 'encouraged' to place an order every campaign. Some ASMs will release your territory if you miss 1-2 campaigns and may allocate it to a new rep if one is appointed nearby.
* All territory is confirmed with a 'expected order value' so even if you haven't missed a campaign order, if your orders have dropped below that expected order level for the territory then again your ASM may release some of it.
* Territory is allocated by postcode so it can be confusing if you think an entire road is yours - chances are it won't be. You could have the houses on one side of the road and another rep may have the other side.
* Email your ASM again and copy in your DSM (your ASM's 'boss'), ask them to confirm details of your exact territory to you and highlight the problems you've been experiencing. (It may help to start your subject heading as "Pls Read:" as DSMs/ASMs do tend to receive a lot of emails....)
From what you have posted am guessing your ASM is thinking that you have given up so is wanting your customer list to give to the new rep they have allocated your territory to. There are two very differing trains of thought on this i.e. who do the customer details belong to - you or Avon?
Hope that helps rather than confuses. Good luck.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Well done. :j
Check that you haven't any red crosses i.e. items out of stock. If there are any that could bring you below HOV so be careful.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Hey guys, long time no speak!! Hope everyone is well and all the best for 2012! had a pretty rough year last year... i have given up avon and have:
about 100 clear bags for books,
a few black avon bags,
5 packs of order forms,
a new calling book for recording houses visited, etc,
and a wadge of avon calling cards.
They are all going in the bin unless someone wants them?? All i ask is for postage cost back, but you can give it me once you've received the items if that's safer.
Hope this can be of use to someone.

Hi and Happy New Year from me too....
I'm still doing Avon but tend to lurk rather than post but this thread is really helpful and I'm always picking up useful hints and tips so thank you ladies and gents.
The end of the year was very sad for us as we had to have our beloved dog put to sleep. Its been a terrible few weeks as we can't get used to not having her around but she had 14 fabulous years on the planet and I hope she's enjoying the big park in the sky with all those other K9 friends that people have sadly lost.
I'm also recovering from a chest infection which has made me feel even worse so this year has not really got off to a great start. However, I guess that if you're at the bottom it can only get better... right?
Ref Cutiepieabf post, yes please I'd be really keen to take the clear bags and Avon calling cards from you, that would be great. Are they Avon bags or just an ordinary bag larger than the books with a seal at the top?? I'm afraid I don't need the other bits thanks as I've got plenty in stock. If you want to pm the details and postage costs we can take it from there. That's unless someone has beat me too it already?
I hope you're all having a good afternoon.0 -
Hello!
Just wondering, has anyone else had endless grief with the Pearl Shine nail product that was on offer on the back page of the sale brochure/C2(?)? I've now got to return 3 of the 5 ordered as the brush comes off in the lid, the polish leaks everywhere etc. We had one of the 3 and it's terrible! It's more annoying as I have started to put a note of 'top picks' with my book and this was one of them!0 -

Oh no, that's such a drag. I've got about 4 on order.
I've had probs with super extend mascara. One arrived empty, got it replaced & that one was empty too. Grrrr...
I now have another 2 customers want them so I've ordered extra so they don't hopefully have to wait 3 weeks for a replacement."Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”0 -
Hi MarsdenCuckoo, thanks for your reply it is really appreciated. However, I haven't missed an order in the last 12 months and my sales have gone up from around the £200 per camp to around £600. When my ASM rang last week she also asked 'are you covering the whole village', I confirmed I was. My neighbour left a note for the new rep and explained that the village already has a rep, but two customers phoned last night to say they had books delivered yesterday (collection Weds) so she obviously hasn't taken any notice! As this is the second time this has happened in a year I am really annoyed. Could you tell me how I find out who my DSM is as I think she needs to know about this! Thanks again.0

Hi BS, You're v welcome. Wonder if your ASM has not updated your territory on SMA (Spatial Mapping Area), which is a map showing what territory is allocated to which rep and what is free. If SMA is not kept up-date it will offer what it deems free territory if a new rep is appointed.
If you post up a postcode near you I can then find out what Area you're in and then hopefully track down your DSM's details for you. Alternatively you could email Avon via 'contact us' on your website and ask for the contact details of your DSM.
Well done you re. your orders. May also be worth seeing if you can have a one-to-one with your ASM; they have a difficult job with all sorts of targets set by Avon. I got off to a rocky start with mine but they really can be a godsend when you build up a good working relationship with each other - easier said than done, I appreciate, but a goal well worth aiming for.
Good luck; let me know if I can help further.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I've just applied to be a rep, and it says they will do a credit check. My credit is horrible at the moment (two CC defaults from the start of last year), does this mean it's likely I won't be accepted?"Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Entered my first campaign last night, would have hit HOV, but ended up with 3 red crosses, so annoying.
