Hi, does anyone have a link to the compensation plan showing how bonuses are paid to sales leaders? I have done a search on the internet but can't find anything (or maybe I'm just a bad ''googler'')
thanks
Pat
It's a structured system with % of sales and bonuses for different things which i can access in my Avon account, not sure if it's available elsewhere. Are you a rep already?Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???0 -

Can one join straight away as a sales leader, or do you have to spend some time as a rep first, and how much does it cost to be a sales leader?

hi everyone thanx to all who replied to my last message and hopeing the people who havent yet will in the future as im always up for any advice
as for the lady i mentioned i would never sell anything like that, my friend was trying to sell a car last year he had it up for sale for 2 months and it never sold because the 2 people that came to look at it felt pushed into buying and and left, he gave it to me and i sold it in a diffrent town 4 days later and i knew i would sell it for him because my approach to sales is sell as i would like to be sold sumthing, the beauty of avon is its already an established company with 125 years behind it so with my sales technique and and a brand like avon i belive id be on to a winner
but there are a few more questions id like to ask
1 as an sl how dose the bonus scheme work is it paid per sign up and how is it paid cheque or straight into the bank
2 if i was to do avon when would i have to start id like to start on the first campaign of 2012 but is this to soon as due to my work commtments christmas is my jam and cream but in january it goes dead
3 would it be easier to start at the begining of the new tax year i assume that as im still emplyed full time i would be on the 20% tax bracket
ive been doing some networking already and have already found 2 potential sign ups one is a nail technician and another is a young lady at college doing health and beauty level 2 a very good place to sell avon i would emagine
lastly i actually live in liskeard but work in bodmin so if i wanted to do some streets do they have to be in the town in which you live or can i do them after work in bodmin
thanx again for all your help and sorry for so many questions but i was always taught if u need help ask0 -

Have decided to have a break from Avon over Christmas as my C2 dates are 16/12-6/1 - entirely the kids school holiday!
Would you suggest giving C2 a miss altogether or putting C2/C3 together when I restart early Jan? Don't want to overwhelm customers, but also not sure how Xmassy C2 is, might seem a bit strange early Jan!
ThanksNow proud Mumto3 :j0 -

You should be able to have someone call at your house to sign you up within a few days of contacting someone. If you sign up through Avon's official site you'll most likely be visited by someone who works for Avon. They're not a SL but they recruit and they'd be your upline. Or you can do some research online (or I'm sure someone on here might sign you up) and find a SL. They'll bring books to this first visit so you can get started straight away.
I think a lot of Avon reps also experience a drop-off of sales in January and February. There are some on the official Avon forum who say their customers spend like it's the January sales (Avon does a sale book to compete with normal shops), but quite a lot of us, even if we're doing our round on the same scale as normal, notice customers spending less than average. I started some new streets last Jan and remember it feeling very flat. They might just have been bad streets. But you could look at a Jan start as being a time to prove yourself during the worst weather conditions. It's also a time of year when a lot of reps who signed up pre-Christmas leave - either because they always planned to or because they try the new-year campaigns and are disappointed with sales nowhere near as good as the ones they got before Christmas. I think it could be a good opening for a new rep or a rep who wants to expand, who knows they're going to stick at it. It also means you can build trust on your round in time for when people's finances have improved in the spring.thomas4163 wrote: »3 would it be easier to start at the begining of the new tax year i assume that as im still emplyed full time i would be on the 20% tax bracket
Not a tax expert here, but don't see why it should be a big issue. You'd ring them up to register. Your 20% tax would continue as normal on your FT job. Once the tax year ends you'll be asked to do your return for the previous year and, yes, your net profit will be taxed at 20% like your regular job.thomas4163 wrote: »lastly i actually live in liskeard but work in bodmin so if i wanted to do some streets do they have to be in the town in which you live or can i do them after work in bodmin
As long as the streets you want to do are in the same Avon area as the address where you sign up, this should be okay. But explain this at your sign-up because it's the norm to try and find you some streets close to your home. You could always see if you could have 2 separate sets of streets.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Those looking to become SL's, it may well be worth reading this thread and the one before. Lots of good advice about how to start as a rep and work your way up quickly once you figure out how it all works. At the end of the day, you need to know what you're doing first before taking on and training reps (Lozza & MC, could do with some input here from you guys!).
Mumto2, my plan is on the last page. Basically I would give C2 with C3 to your best customers, using C2 as backorder for the not so good customers. C1 onwards starts as sale (C1 dated 2012) so no more big Christmas spreads after C18. Think someone posted earlier that links for upcoming brochures are on first page of this thread so you can check them out.
