Creative ordering - more than pays for itself in the time taken to check through orders. Opening up the current and backorder books online (each in a separate tab) then using the search box makes it as quick as possible. I earn on average £20 extra each campaign, and that's not including free/cheap stock I can keep to sell on later (either to customers on my round or ebay).
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

    That's encouraging:-)

Someone has posted that they put the product codes in the search box but I thought the codes were different for each book, no? How do you search I, Geek?

Another question - the lady who said she's returning the liqui glide eyeliner (which she thought was supposed to be £1) changed her mind and paid me the remaing money:rotfl: But ... I have already entered it as a return for credit - how do I change it back again? Do I have to call them again? Hate talking to those men in the call centre!

I guess, since I know I won't be doing c18 as I don't have any brochures, I can use the online book to try creative ordering? Or is that a bad idea in case the same offers come up in c1 - should I only creatively order from old books?
  • Oh dear. Yes, I was told recently that doing T1 + T2 together is becoming more common. Each to their own I guess but in my book that's not really helping a new rep maximise their own business.

If it's any consolation (not!) I have been having the same problems as you but in my case am struggling to to get some of my SLs to come back to me! I know 'life happens' but it's not hard to just acknowledge a communication and let someone know you'll be in touch asap, is it?

If you do go into SLship, MB, hope you do a better job than your own upliners!

Some of my team don't bother replying to me. I find it a little disheartening :o I always reply, even just an acknowledgement of receipt as it would feel rude not to bother. I guess we're all different :rotfl:
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???

I would contact the peson who signed you up and ask for C18s. She should be able to either get them from her upline, or have them coming direct from Avon. Unless she isn't planning to sign anyone up...

I don't think you should let it go. You are supposed to be provided with the books, and it is unfair to start you in this way.

When you don't return the item within 36 days, it will automatically get re-charged.

The product codes rarely change from book to book. Thinking about it, I should use the product codes to search but I always just use a keyword. So "french" for french manicure kit. Some words, such as "clearskin" rarely turn up in search results because the word is part of a graphic so the search system can't find it. You get to know which words to use to find which items that won't give you loads of search results to scan through.

When I say £20 on average, that is coming from quite a large round and customer base. I've got about 90 people who've ever ordered from me (although some of those have only ordered once and that's a year or more ago now). Still, even if it's only an extra £5 it doesn't take much work to do and all from the comfort of home.

Ringing the call centre - do as much as you possibly can online. Credits, replacements (swapping items and missing ones), paying for your order... can all be done automatically online. If you need to get in touch try e-mailing them or asking your upline. I only used the call centre as a last resort.

Agree with MM, it's not fair on you to not have been given any C18 books. Fair enough if she's started you off and only has C17s in stock but your upliner should consider those as extra books and give you your C18 books as soon as they can get hold of some.

Why not email your upliner and say you're a little confused with your books and ask for an update as to when to expect your C18s i.e. to help you plan your business going forward?

  • Hope this doesn't confuse but, certainly in the run up to Christmas, it sometimes helps to place additional orders on your back campaign. OK it costs you £2.50 and you need to get to commissionable order levels, of course, but it means you get earlier delivery and access to the offers in your two previous campaigns. :money:

  • Just received notification from Avon (sure you all will have too but just in case) re. C1-C4 2012:

    MOV reduces to £52 (HOV remains the same);
Personal Qualifying Orders for SLs reduces to £96, ASL+ reduces to £147
