Hkitten could still do creative ordering by looking at the online brochure for C18 to compare prices (link on first page of this thread). So if anyone has ordered from brochure 17 she could look at the online brochure 18 to see if they can be bought cheaper/with a special offer.

And then in C1, again use the online C18 brochure to compare.

Of course, still not as many creative ordering opportunities as having orders from 2 brochures to look at. Even though I've got paper brochures in the house I always use the online ones to compare because the search box makes it quicker than flicking through the books.

Yes, good points but still think HK is being 'short-measured' unless her upliner comes back and gives her some more free books.

The fact that she's already been given her C1 books before she's even tried to get any C18 orders makes me slightly suspicious that T1 & T2 have been done together. Of course, I could be wrong - really hope so.

Oh I definitely agree with you there. Even if the SL has run out, I wonder whether their ASM or upline SL could have helped out. Or, like you say, some extra books should have been provided to make up for it. Especially seeing as the C1 book is moving away from being Christmas-themed, and might not bring in the same Christmas orders as the C18 book could have.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Hopefully this customer would accept my apologies and agrees to the mascaras being re-ordered next campain. Is it a shorter campain? It'll be c18 for me so can back order from c17.

Good to know that the 10pm deadline is not rigid!

It's a learning curve - I also realised I could have ordered colour changing clock from gift brochure attached to c16 instead of c17 as it was cheaper there; could have saved the customer some £££ Anyway posting in case others miss it too.

And in c17 there is a free red gift bag if you orser 2 product from a wide range of pages (170-231) in my case 3 customers were eligible but haven't noticed - I suppose cos the info is not on every page. I spotted and ordered

C18 isn't likely to be shorter, it's usually C1, as you seem to have only a couple of days different to me. check on the website for your order / delivery dates.

Re The Clocks, it is good to be nice to your customers, but I see creative ordering as making my business profitable! So, think about yourself first ;)

Well spotted with the gift bag. Customers are very good at not noticing, or just expecting the freebie without putting the code! Also worth remembering that customers may not qualify individually, but as a group they may. Ie 3 different customers ordering 1 qualifying item each. Handy to stock up on gifts etc
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???

Before everyone recycles their C16 gift guides, thought they could be good in terms of the out of date brochure style canvassing to point out the products that Avon do. Everyone knows that they do make-up, but people who are not customers have no idea of the range of goods now supplied by Avon.
I am going to use some, especially as there is still time to order Xmas gifts etc. The one I really wish Avon would do is a leaflet with products for men. I have male customers, yet only one reads the book. the others have tried products I have recommended to them, and they follow that method. I think men would read something aimed specifically at them.

Excellent suggestions, MM; why not email Avon with them? Believe they're always after feedback/suggestions.

Oh I see - that's what you mean by 'creative ordering'. Hmm, I see your point, I am just too honest I suppose. A customer ordered perfumes last time - don't remeber the name but it was £15 plus 2 free gifts and a sample. I only noticed when it was actually delivered and got stressed about it thinking the customer expected them but forgot to put the codes in. I called Avon and asked whether I could still get them with the next campain and instantly called the customer to tell her good news. She was very pleased and obviously being so b*** honest I did not think I might have used these free products in any different way:D

Forgot to add - I phoned the lady who wanted 3 mascaras and she was ok with getting them later - she just wanted them at that price. Can't blame her lol

I have no idea about creative ordering - this is literally my first campaign so I don't think I'll be getting fancy with the figures yet!

Thanks for the info guys :) I don't mind having no c18 brochures, I guess I should have them but I doubt the customers will notice and there's lots of christmassy stuff in c17.

I took some brochures to work today and got my first order from a colleague for £26! And I was only expecting 2 people to want them, but I ended up giving out 4 as a girl in another office and my boss's wife have both taken one as well.

Going out early Saturday morning to deliver some catalogues. I'm intending to go back late Sunday afternoon to get them, and then if I can't get some back, go round again on Monday or Tuesday. My first order date is Friday 18th and all I want this time is to get over the £78 minimum order charge, so I'm not too worried about not having many days. I won't be able to do all my houses but I'll be able to do a good number I reckon.

Quick question folks - does anyone know if the new Midnight Sparkle briefs come up a bit small for size? The 2 pairs I ordered could almost have the wrong size label in them.......
RIP Marmaduke 04.02.11, MIsty 09.06.12 and Rufus 19.7.24 very, very sadly missed xxx

I do have another question actually... I noticed that some products include freebies. If the customer hasn't put down the free product code, should I just assume they don't want them and keep them for myself, or give them over just in case?

Not sure what's safe to assume if that comes up!
