Me:
Does Tesco not believe in customer goodwill and offer refund to those that paid full price for the HP Touchpad even though it is refunded. Argos have taken this action - does Tesco not believe in doing the same?
Me again:
What is Tesco's stance on goodwill for their TouchPad customers?
Tesco Customer Care (after taking a approx 20 mins)
I currently don’t have any information on this, but I’ll chase this up and get back to you.
Thanks,

This sounds to me he recognises the potential for a PR !!!!-up and will refer to someone else.
Oh well... will have to wait and see. Dont get facebook at work so me miss the response or they wont respond at all.
Anyone else fancy adding to the facebook tomorrow?
Any more updates?0 -
No updates yet but off to work now so keep an eye out for Seequis updates.
Can we please stop the debate about if the Tesco "gamble" was right or wrong we obviously take a diferring position on these.
I personally knew about the US HP price drop since the back end of last week. Obvioulsy this was going to come to the UK and I knew there would be pandemonium. If we didn't have technology like twitter I would be confident of picking one up 'fair and square' but we do have twitter and news spreads like wild fire and in a semi-selfish way was slightly annoyed how the news spread.
As I cannot sit and monitor Twitter I had to take a different stance.
Tesco fully have the right to stick to the price they have charged me and I guess I hedged my bet against the DSR. I could lose but the DSR means I won't have lost anything. People use regulation, rightly or wrongly, to their advantage everyday. No one is getting hurt.
Tesco would have reduced the priced if they still had stock when they were notified by HP (Tuesday morning according to Tesco). Now all that will happen is that they will receive quite a few returns to which they cannot sell at full price anymore and will have to sell at the discounted price.
I guess the way I see it customer goodwill should be more valuable to them than the profit they may make by people keeping the full price tablets.
Oh well...As Steve Jobs has now quit as Apple CEO maybe the iPad will dive in price as wellWishful thinking??

Yes, it has made it big and now certain media outlets are stopping their media streaming to the device. Honestly...
In the meantime, keep an eye out for developments on stock replenishment and the Hp Pre 3. I shall post details in the other thread re the phone....0 -

seen a couple of posts saying expansys wont be getting more but i cant see anything online to say so
is it just what members are guessing at or is there official word online?
its just i have one on backorder with them0 -
I attempted to order a HP Touchpad from Staples online that morning, but during my card processing it crashed again. I don't have anything in order history and didn't recieve any emails etc, but the funds have been authorised from my credit card. How long does it take for this authorisation to 'drop off?'0

More stock on its way, Online retailers only being excluded from the upcoming sale. (Expansys and Amazon and Stuff.net)
If you have a back order then maybe they'll get stock for those orders...0 -
