waspsforever - I do have to ask if you don't know what it's for why did you buy it?!
Anyway, there's no antivirus for it - a virus attacks an operating system, the Touchpad runs webOS, there's no virus for webOS at this point, and no antivirus programme. Viruses MOSTLY attach Windows OSs.
What do you want to do with it? Skype calling is built into the messaging app, look at the HP App Catalogue for loads more stuff. The office app is QuickOffice HD.
    It's a tablet computer.

I got it to replace a very old laptop and thought that the few things I did on it I would be able to do on this new up to date computer.

It may be may not understanding how to use the Touchpad but I can not connect my digital camera to it to down load pictures, can not do a letter on it (will check QuickOffice HD) and can not connect it to my printer. I can use Skype and search the net but two out of five for me is not good enough.

It is a condition of some banks in the small print that you have to have anti virus software installed to be protected otherwise if you are subject to on line fraud they may not cover your losses.

Where did you manage to get one this week?

My son got it at CW for me the other week and he just gave it to me the other day as a present.

Tablets of any sort are not intended to be a laptop replacement. They are a portable extension of your digital world.

Step away from the Touchpad. It isn't for you!

PS. Mind you don't give it a virus. Have you got antivirus installed in you?

to be honest then, a tablet isnt for you, you would have been better of with a netbook, the acer aspire one netbook will set you back about 150 on ebay ( new ), under 100 quid used,

you would be lucky to get the same money for each on ebay, that might be a better route for you
  • Glad it was worth it........although if i was in the marketing dept for the Samsung Galaxy or Apple iPad I would be beefing up for a bank holiday special right now!!!

    looks like they've finally listened....

It can print to wireless printers, but don't call it a portable computer, it's a tablet and doesn't have all those ports. Tablets are secondary devices, you need a primary device, ie, another laptop.
