Maybe this is why tesco wont reduce the price

Why on Earth would anyone stock the HP TouchPad?
Surely, as a retailer, you’d rather be selling £400 iPads wouldn’t you? And if the TouchPad is killing your website, you’ll be losing out on all those lovely, lovely sales from students wanting to buy MacBooks for the start of their university term.
And that’s exactly what’s happened with Sites like Dabs, Comet, Staples and the BT Shop who have reportedly found their websites to be hugely slowed thanks to interest in the TouchPad, and indeed, Equanet and Staples found their sites going down completely.
All because they’re trying to offload of product that’s invariably cannibalising other sales?0 -
but by taking my money haven't they entered into a contract to supply at the price quoted.. Its one thing if they havent charged my card but another if they have0

Spot on... so conflict of interest. Thanks for pointing that out.
Also, just so you know there may be some 64Gig models flying around too... So if you see them, you are not mistaken.
I also read that 3g models were for release September but doubt that will be the case but just a heads up...
Since my orders for a TouchPad were confirmed by email by Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk and then both were cancelled over 24 hours later (making me miss other opportunities for purchasing from other sellers)... should I now give Amazon my custom and buy one of their tablets when they are released?
Hmmm difficult one - I wonder what I should do...

16gb, 32gb and 64gb still on Tesco but all oos, (64gb showing as late Sept)
They might as well delete them if they are not getting any in.0 -

Just take the refund, ask for some compensation (realistic) and move on.0 -
Wow it got very heated in here while I was gone!
The people who paid full price took a risk that it may not be discounted. You never know what will happen. As for complaining there's not much you can do about it, if after talking to retailers they won't change your mind.
Laughing at people for spelling, having a differing opinion is unfair and bit childish. If you don't like what Tesco or other retailers have done, don't blame people on here go phone or visit people at retail store concerned & direct your frustration there.
I think we should all be able to get a TP for the price we want but the world is not like that. Not everyone could get a TP for love or money.
I'm not sure buying a product for the price it is advertised at, then complaining about it afterwards leaves you with alot.
I feel it is only fair that people get all money back. In an ideal world Tesco, play et al would do this but they are not obliged to, in regards of price difference anyway. You all need to make them see good will & customer service goes a long way.
Probably annoyed a few people on here now0
