HP TouchPad

Odd that the remaining stock will go to them if indeed that does happen, Amazon surely are much bigger business, still HP are going to concentrate on business much more rather than for home use so maybe they dont give a flick
Like you, I had my order from Amazon cancelled... this is because HP are not giving them any stock or they (Amazon) no longer want it...
We are heading into September. We have the Ipad 3 possibly due for launch and the Iphone 5.
Here we have HP selling the Touchpad for cheap, and this weekend the HP Pre 3 for cheap... nabbing some share from Apple.. albeit a small amount. Saying that, maybe Amazon would rather work with Apple and enjoy the markup they receive rather than flog a cheap tablet with little markup... Dunno.... but for sure Amazon won't be getting any. Otherwise the orders would still stand....
Gonna have to be vigilant... I want to get one this time round.0 -
Many of other business did though just Tescos appear to for whatever reason not too, perhaps its just sheer greed, I cant think of any other reason can you?Firstly, I am totally on the side of those wanting to get a Touchpad at £89/119 but I can't believe people are so surprised that Tesco want to charge people the full price that they accepted when they bought the product. Tesco are a business and as far as I can tell, are in no position to have to pass the price cut onto all of us bargain hunters!0

Savemoney, all rumours and talk has been that online retailers only will not be receiving any more stock (such as Amazon and Stuff.net) (Infact Stuff.net wrote a response saying HP have decided not to allocate any to online only retailers anymore and have selected a few core partners to distribute the rest of the stock and mention Dixons/Pcworld/Currys and CPW)
Also despite the fact that Dixons Group had minor issues where a touchpad would disappear from the basket, (due to how the ordering system works) the site remained up and relatively responsive despite the DOS attack. They also (incase you didn't notice) had a further sell of stock yesterday morning and have fulfilled those orders. (Not done a Amazon and sold what they didn't have). They also were the first ones to announce the price drop and Also the time (to give everyone equal opportunity) which I can say I never saw any other retailer (online or in shops) announce the specific time of the price drop.0 -

Their behavior is nothing new? they have CONSISTANTLY said NO price drop. NO refunds.
People who have bought Touchpads from Tesco deserve all they get. Its not Tesco's fault that you went out and bought a touchpad thinking you could cheat the system and get a refund at a later date.
As for abusing DSR (ordering at full price and holding the item untill/IF you get a refund) is a blaintant mockery of LAW put in place to protect consumers not to get a bargin.
I honestly think some people on this thread need to seriosuly look at their actions... constantly complaint about sellers not lowring their prices... its THEIR choice, if you don't like it don't buy from them.

Could it not be though that if they don't discount it, then they don't get the rebate... It won't exactly be a secret as it's all over the web.
Business sucks, exactly the same reason as why there are loads of 2 day old Touchpads on Ebay at double the £89 price.0 -
Hehe I want both a touchpad, and 2 phones and nope I have no intention of being on ebay to sell them. Touchpad for daughter and phones for me and oh as we both have 3 year old phones and hers is on last leg. But I dont give much hope if I am honest of getting any of itLike you, I had my order from Amazon cancelled... this is because HP are not giving them any stock or they (Amazon) no longer want it...
